Really cool idea for a game! I did have some issues with getting the beat right but that might just be me!

shotgunsamurai 2021-04-27 07:38

Thank you so much for playing our game! Once you get used to it, it gets a bit obvious ;) We didn't have time to make fine adjustments sadly.

hugison 2021-04-27 08:50

Really nice idea. Loved it. The Music is really good (Has to be for this kind of game) but at some parts of the song the beat does not come through very good. I felt that the wallslide is nice but not really necessary for this game. And I keep thinking if it is good that relevant beat is just the one. It makes the game a bit easier but sometimes I felt like i wanted to smash on the beats in between. I hope you get what I mean. So yeah really good job and I hope my feedback helps.

doot 2021-04-27 08:54

Nice idea! I had trouble at first but then I got into it and it felt good with the slam.

The visuals are a bit aggressive in the tutorial but they look better in game with the background.

Thanks for the game!

@hugison thank you so much for the feedback. I agree with you. Its just that with the time restrain, we only had time to synchronize the bass drums. The next version of this will include timing for the snare and the hats as well. Thank you so much for giving such a detailed feedback :)

shotgunsamurai 2021-04-27 08:58

@doot haha thank you so much for your feedback. Glad you liked it :)

morricore 2021-04-27 09:13

Game feels like something cool, but learning curve, dynamics, hard to feel rhythm and balance prevent me from being entertained.

paragonraptors 2021-04-27 09:40

I like the concept and also thought the atmosphere/mood was well conveyed. I would love to see this with a slightly faster scrolling speed and more varied platforms. You definitely have the start of something quite fun.

shotgunsamurai 2021-04-27 09:52

@morricore glad you liked the idea and thanks for the feedback :)

shotgunsamurai 2021-04-27 09:52

@paragonraptors thanks for the feedback :) We definitely have a hard mode planned for the future ;)

omg-blackbeard 2021-04-27 12:42

@shotgunsamurai - Very nice music.

shotgunsamurai 2021-04-27 16:01

@omg-blackbeard thanks a lot. You can get more songs by whoja vu on https://ffm.bio/whojavu :)

Awesome job, this was really cool to play and I think there is a lot that can be done with this idea. There are a lot of games about falling down but your idea of smashing downwards to the beat is really awesome. I was sad there was no sound in the tutorial when it was a music game but then when it kicks in as you start falling, it is pretty cool. I wouldve liked the tutorial to teach moreso how to play the actual game, that along with the beat sometime feeling off from the lights/timing made it a little tough. But overall I love the idea, awesome job!

bigbadbison 2021-04-28 07:56

I had some pretty severe input lag and low-fps, is it possible to get a windows build?

2021-04-28 07:59

What a game!!! Playing this was really fun. The music was very catchy, its still going on in my head :D The transition from the tutorial to the game was smart. The power-ups added a nice touch.

I would definitely play a second version of this game with more beats.

I would really appreciate it if you considered playing and rating my game too :)

kapa6uh 2021-04-28 08:00

I like the visiuals. But I am rediculously bad at playing it :)

vsi 2021-04-28 08:01

like the graphs and sound, really nice that you have a tutorial and a lot of in game mechanics, gj!

lepoulet 2021-04-28 08:19

Cool music, visual are ok. Remind me Neon Beats

substain 2021-04-28 12:36

cool game! it is not easy to match the landing with the beat, especially with the (relatively) slow gravity. In other games you often have to match the start of the jump with the music, that confused me first, too. Nice one, still!

saussol 2021-04-28 14:17

Nice idea! Game feels like something cool.

globulous 2021-04-28 14:18

really good game, nice idea. My little feedback is maybe the game is a little too hard at the beginning

random-thoughts 2021-04-28 15:43

I actually wanted to make a rythm-based platformer, but gave up because I couldn't figure out how to do it, so good job for actually figuring out how to make it! The only complaint I can have is that the up arrow/W key doesn't jump. Other than that, well done!

shotgunsamurai 2021-04-29 08:04

@ryan-dotsikas thanks a lot for your valuable feedback and for enjoying the game :) Your input is duly noted

shotgunsamurai 2021-04-29 08:05

@avenger1512 haha thank you so much for the motivation, means a lot. Something big is definitely planned for the near future ;)

shotgunsamurai 2021-04-29 08:06

@kapa6uh that is okay. In the future we will have an easy mode and a better tutorial surely. But there is a slight learning curve, if you get this, your rhythm is subconsciously improving ;)

rujum 2021-05-03 10:12

Hi ty for the game, would be awesome if jump was "W". other than that i suck at beat games...

pokii 2021-05-03 13:19

I really enjoy the music in this game as well as all the particle effects! The gameplay was confusing at first, but I was able to get the hang of it fairly quickly and it was all easy from there! My only feedback would be that the tutorial is slightly straining on the eyes as it's hard to see the player with the background, maybe if the background was a little bit lighter, I also wish there was more cool music to listen to in the tutorial :( Love this game though!

sentmoraap 2021-05-09 14:37

Nice rhythm platformer! Two minuses: the tutorial graphics and the easiness. Anticipating when you land is harder than just pressing a button at the hard time, but the platforming part is very easy.
