Fun game. Made me sleepy, even more than from doing the jam
The art style is so beautiful!
Cool idea! Very stylish and atmospheric! I didn't even think of hypnosis when I thought about the idea of a game on the topic.
First I thought this will be a relaxing rhythm game, where you have to do easy task to bring you in a relaxed state while you're being told a story. Later the game turns into a puzzle game, that wants you to focus on solving tricky time-based puzzles. I prefered the relaxing part, but enjoyed the other one too.
This was a great game but the gear turning puzzles really turned my gears and drove me to the edge of sanity and back.
The art and sound are very good!
If my years of playing Nancy Drew games has taught me anything, it's how to play games like this. I was so frustrated, but I wanted more!! Loved the art and concept. One of my favorite games yet! (Also, thank god for that intro hint. I never would've figured it out otherwise without mashing my keyboard)
That was a really nice twist on the theme ! I really enjoyed the little minigames, well done ! There are not enough music-based/tempo-based games in my opinion, so that was a really nice surprise. I enjoyed it, but I don't really know if I won or not a the end x).
Definitely a unique game, with a very-well crafted visual aesthetic. I enjoyed figuring out the actions required to move from one stage to the next, with things getting weirder and weirder the more I progressed through the game.
Strenghts : - Bonkers visuals (with lot of details ! Loved the little gears below the metronome) - A new challenge at each stage - Cool interpretation of the theme
Possible improvements : - The sound design is a bit strange at first : the right interaction is the one that does not make any noise.
Great job !
Haha, sounds like my teammates were right and we tuned it a bit hard on the later levels (it's always hard to tell when you've played a level a ton of times, as it always gets easy in the end).
Thanks everyone for the nice feedback so far.
@ljv Yes, my teammate who actually did the sounds had that exact complaint when I had placeholders for everything but getting it right, but I suggested that it was better to do it that way if we couldn't get the perfect noise for "correct" that didn't interfere with the ticking (since part of the point was that if you were doing it right, especially on the earlier levels, you could end up zoning yourself out). I won the debate, but I think that was mostly because we were having it Monday afternoon and time was a factor. I think if we were to ever do more with something like this, we would try to find the right sound that doesn't interfere with the ticking.
Very interesting game, I dig the graphics and the visual effects! The sounds are a bit off, could be more soothing. Also as @jlv commented, the right interaction should maybe also make some noise. But very cool overall!
Really great game. It was fun trying to figure out what to do and I liked your take on the theme as well. Good work!
What a great take on the theme. I really struggled with the timing and wish it would slow down after so many failed attempts lol. It took me longer than I would like to admit.
I liked it, the only real difficulty I found was that sometimes the "a" or "f" key presses weren't registering fast enough to keep up with the slider.
Great visuals and sfx.
Great concept and good game ! It's really smart and the art is nice. Good job
Loved the concept and creative puzzles. The gear turning one felt off at first, specially the last segment where the screen blacked out and you had to turn them blindly, but i got the hang of it. But the art was totally excellent with that elegant and charming look to the devices and eyes.
Very cool game! I have never seen anything like this before in my long-long gaming life. It's mesmerizing and if you want to beat the game, you should accept it and go deep into the trance. And the length of the game is just right: not too short, not too long. I picture it as a cool little puzzle inside a bigger adventure game about traveling through the mind.
Awesome game!
I love the idea, and it is very well executed. Every puzzle is smart, and the game stays short with a nice little story too. I found it a bit hard to focus on the text sometimes, as I was not sure when or how it was switching to the next line.
Thanks for the game it is beautiful, almost perfect in all categories for me!
