@lelulagames Yes, we noticed that the root and screen can get a bit weird, especially if the fairy is at the bottom of the screen or you make the root go down (nyoom!). A trick I do is to hold up. While the root can't go up, pressing up makes it slow down, which can let the root get closer to the top of the screen. :)
I loooooved this game. I kept thinking 'okay, I'll stop after this one...' but I couldn't! Very fun game. Wish I had paid a bit more attention to the evidence but I was so focused on those tacks :) Also, loved the "We have to go deEeEeeEeEEperRr!" Great job
Man, I really wish I had paid more attention during The Queen's Gambit...Fun game! I definitely struggled, but I really enjoyed the look, music, and the snippy bellhop. Very cool idea.
If my years of playing Nancy Drew games has taught me anything, it's how to play games like this. I was so frustrated, but I wanted more!! Loved the art and concept. One of my favorite games yet! (Also, thank god for that intro hint. I never would've figured it out otherwise without mashing my keyboard)
I really enjoyed this game! It was very relaxing, and I loved their lil overalls. As a kid, I would've played this for hours, no doubt, As other users have mentioned, I had issues getting them to do things once they had the entertainment need in the third level. It would be awesome if you could seen an overall happiness rating, showing a bar for each mood. That would make the burrows much more interesting, since I just added them as I had a need rather than planning it out strategically. Overall, I really enjoyed this game - great work!
I don't remember this episode of Veggie Tales....Seriously, I loooooved this game. I love the multiplayer, the different cowboy mustaches, and how I can finally live out my dreams of wild west shootout glory. I really wish we could see the other players' names, but -- omg I just saw this was a compo! I am blown away. Really great work in creating such a fun game! I'm definitely going to return to this one after the jam :)
We all need a wise squid on our heads telling us tips in life (and finding love along the way). I had a good time, but the long blocks were definitely a challenge since you could only hold them in the middle. Had to yeet em like a javelin to go where they needed to. The vibe reminded me of Roblox and Spyro - nostalgic. Great work!
Wow, my brain felt so small playing this game. I have never played a puzzle game like this, and it was quite the challenge. I think some music would've really helped set a mood, but overall, good work!
I had a really good time playing this game. I would have looooved this game as a kid too. I also loved all the time and attention put into the details! A forced stop or score would've been great for the end of each round. I stayed on my first shift waaaay too long because I didn't realize I had to stop it by putting boxes on the shelves (and I wasn't punished for not doing it). The mechanics felt really smooth and wonderful! Very easy to pick things up and interact with the environment. Great job!
I really enjoyed this! This would be especially fun to play with friends and race to see who get make it the farthest/fastest. After getting used to them, the controls felt good. Very smooth and interesting!
Words cannot express how much I love Bunny Bunny Dig Dig. He is my absolute favorite. It took me approximately three bombs before I realized they do not - NOT - help you. Sorry Bunny Bunny. I am blown away that this is a compo! Truly fantastic work. I loved it!
High score 85. Not to brag. Echoing above, obstacles would've made this game really fun, but for a compo this is great! The only other thing missing is a loin cloth for your vine-swinging bean :)
Very cool experience! I was a little confused as to why I'd sometimes go backwards and have to redo pieces, but I enjoyed it overall. Echoing the other comments, the art was very pretty, and sound would've really added. Maybe it could work by the player choosing the mood or selecting an object, which would set the tone? Well done!
I was bound and determined to finish this game, but oh my god my brain could not comprehend the inverter. The tutorial was very clear and well-done. I didn't have an issue with the scrolling. It was the perfect amount of challenging, so that it was really satisfying to solve the puzzle. The above-ground was also beautiful! I love seeing fellow root gamers, and this one is fantastic!

The only issue I noticed, was the final screen flashes very briefly and then suddenly goes back to the main screen.
I was so intrigued by this game...sad to see there wasn't more! It would make an excellent horror game. I don't know if that was the intent, but I was ready to jump! I'd definitely make the wall textures a bit easier on the eyes. I got a bit dizzy, but overall I enjoyed this quick jaunt!
I must say, I've never considered the possibility of a bullet-hell where the hero is a fry. I love it. I would like to see the fry basket moving sooner. Once it moves, the enemies combined with that groovy background makes a pretty good challenge!
Who is bundt man? What makes these bundt cakes so delicious that he risks his life for said bundt cakes? Do they possess mystical abilities, to cause ghosties to guard them so? Does bundt man's backpack have ample milk with which to coat his parched throat after so many bundt cakes? These are the questions I asked myself as I happily went through the levels.
As someone who isn't very experienced with platformers, it provided just enough challenge. Very fun! I would love to play more.
I loved having a mob of fish around me as I swam! My only point of confusion was when I first started playing, I wasn't sure what my goal was exactly. But I figured it out after one or two tries, which probably helps the replayability! Overall, I think it looked really nice, felt good, and had good ambient music.
Jabroni!!! I admit, I spent half of my playing time jumping on everything I possibly could. It was so smooth! I certainly did NOT want to go deeper in this instance. I shit myself a little bit. Creepy as hell. Great job!
Wow. It's like Teenage Mutant Turtles meets Mario meets cute aesthetic. Loved the music and icons! I had some difficulties with the controls, and once when loading in there was no lighting?? Fun game!
Very cute! Kudos on the art for the title! Beautiful. I liked the music, but none of the tracks for the sections stopped playing. So they all played over each other in a hellish cacophony. Really intensified the experience for me in a stressful, oh-go-the-demons-are-coming-and-they're-going-to-eat-me-and-Gretel-and-my-bread-crumbs-and-then-me-oh-christ kinda way.
This is great for a first game! It certainly gets stale pretty quickly, and the cave was disorienting haha. But I felt motivated to whack those orcs with my pick! Really impressive for your first game!
My motivation to seek out Poufix exceeded my motivation at any point in time while playing Fallout 4. I really enjoyed it! I'm glad I read the comments, because the battery-book-shoe-skates would've totally escaped me. The whole game changed for me with the ~Pussy Slayer Glasses-. Loved it, and the credits were super adorable
I had a lot of fun playing this one! Loved the designs, but I never found the cheese :( It ran very smoothly, and once I got the hang of the attack/bounce, I was able to go quite a ways before dying. I did my best to avoid the enemies rather than fight them. I liked the survival aspect, but if there was to be a focus on fighting, a dash attack would def be the way to go. Great job!
Coming home from a long day at the at home office, this reminded me why I need to do more game jams. I enjoyed this game until it made me question my sanity! Definitely fun and I loved the look. Would be super fun as a competitive game with friends, racing to see who can make it the farthest without messing up
