Really cool idea! Instructions were unclear at first, but figured it out quickly. Managed to finish normal difficulty on my second try. Audio was great, really added to the tension (though the loop got old quite quickly), but was complimented really well by the rising sounds of the bars filling up. nice job setting the mood! Crafting was straight forward, if unclear at first as to what resources were and why they were needed for each thing. I really liked the overall feel of scrambling between resource nodes to get to the selector and then the printer to set something going for the next time it came around. Some clear instructions and visual juice could really make this game shine! A coop mode on a larger level would very likely be fun!

Hello, I think that the game is very enjoyable! The gameplay flow is very good. The idea is very innovative. The graphic looks good. I think that the music is good, but it could be more varied. One more thing about the gameplay is that I think you should add easy mode to the game, or either adds a tutorial to the game. So far the game is very good and I like it!

shelvid 2020-10-06 17:48

Pretty fun game! Instructions kind of didn't make sense at first but through gameplay I understood it pretty quickly. It was really difficult but through optimizing my priorities I managed to beat the Normal one :) Well done on the entry! Also the player model is really adorable and that run animation is 10/10

Thanks for all the feedback so far! We pushed really hard for short gameplay sessions, so that players could learn from previous play throughs to optimize their planning for the next run. We would have loved to make a more comprehensive tutorial, maybe give the player some time to figure out what's going on before dumping them into a chaotic mess, but of course, didn't have time. Really glad to hear that it's been discoverable so far! Thanks for being willing to explore :)

@gamedevmatt we love the idea of co-op mode! it's a post jam stretch goal that we're really interested in exploring!

@ovid I wish I had a better setup for creating music at home, unfortunately all of my equipment is really painful to use, so I could only get in that single loop done in time. Sometime to improve for next time for sure!

@shelvid <3 that little guy is the first 3d model that I've rigged and animated myself all in blender. I'm really pleased how well he turned out, I have a fascination for run cycles and I'm glad I could deliver something new and fun in such a short amount of time!

Thank you so much for playing all of you! Especially from before I had added any instructions or explanation. It I'm really glad you guys enjoyed it and found it fun, the gameplay loop (haha) was what we focussed on most of all.

@gamedevmatt As Cameron said, we're definitely looking at adding co-op, as well! Thank you for the feedback! I was quite happy despite the limited time with the sound design, basic as iti s.

@ovid A missing tutorial is definitely the classic problem! We'll certainly add one for the post-jam version. Thanks for playing!

@shelvid Well done on beating it! The lil dude is adorable. I'm glad you had fun and that you understood it fairly quickly! With no tutorial in-game it was definitely what we were hoping. :)

Amazing game! I really loved it, it was very intuitive to what you had to do and I managed to beat both normal and hard, really enjoy the art style and the well implemented mechanics ♥

Look forward to seeing what you make it the future :D

Thanks mate! Glad you enjoyed! No worries at all on the comments. Well done for being the first one to beat hard mode! @thecreator

Pretty cool game, interesting gameplay. The level design (the ring and the placement of object) is nice to understand and set a tactic to optimize the path we should take to win. Nice game !

nitero 2020-10-07 20:54

The most fun one I've played so far! Super chaotic!

Only suggestion I have is making the building/printing more clear. The other things are pretty simple: Repair something, collect something. But at the start I had no idea what I was doing with the building.

Rating based on the stream only. Very cool game, love the graphics and the unique idea. Coop could be great fun!

simon-rahnasto 2020-10-08 16:16

Very nice take on the theme! The graphics are adorable and the entire game is just well presented. It follows the theme really well while still being quite different from anything that I have played so far. It did not take me all that long to figure out what I had to do, I struggled only a little bit with the 3d printer, which is dumb since I own one irl... So I should know what I am doing. I also found it to be a good strategy to not pick up the resource cubes until "next loop", that way you don't waste any time running backwards. The exception to this rule being the first "loop", where you really should pick up 1 red cube and get that float printing. In the end I managed to clutch the win at the veeeeeeeeeery last second  502072f6983eca8b50a1f0d23e126063.png I hope my Lil dude survived after that!

If your going to add something to the game in the future, a co-op mode would be amazing, I could see this being really fun to try to survive as long as possible together.

Going to try to beat it on hard now!

doot 2020-10-13 07:16

I loved this!

The idea is really good, the execution is awesome. On my first try I lost but understood the correct strat, and on the second try even if I knew exactly what to do each loop the execution was frantic and a lot of fun. And then I blocked myself with a wall of floaters and died very stupidly right at the last loop haha. The animations of the lil dude are perfect.

Thanks for the game 💕

nice game! The idea is well thoughtout and it plays really well! The graphics are nice and overall a great submission for the jam!

noirox 2020-10-13 20:26

Wow, that is amazing! Really scratched the same itch as (sometimes) Subnautica and Overcooked, just scrambling to finish all the tasks, gather resources, start a project, finish another somewhere else and so on. Audio could have used a bit more polish or variation, maybe a melody underneath the loop or gradually morer instruments. Also: Was it possibly inspired by Blizzeta's theme from Twilight Princess? Sounds a bit like it :)

gamescodedogs 2020-10-13 20:34

That's an awesome game, seriously! I loved the idea, the music, the tension! Could use some polishing, but it's perfect for a demo! Would love to see it developed into a full game

pedrocoden 2020-10-20 07:48

Simply fantastic game!

kuro 2020-10-21 16:15

Great, fun game, and very original too! Graphics is great. The audio is on the simpler side, but does wonders for the overall mood of the game. I won on the normal difficulty. Didn't try on hard, because I assume it would be too frustrating for me. Awesome little crafting game here. Well done!

badpiggy 2020-10-22 08:03

This is a really cool game. The graphics and audio were simple and honestly really cute. I loved the main character's animations especially. Rather cool usage of the theme and having the platform fall into the lava unless you stabalize it is a rather nice design. I felt that the game needed more of a tutorial to it since I didn't know what I had to do. Still, it was a really great game. Nice entry overall.

thegreenworm 2020-10-26 20:21

I like the idea, but it's tough ! I think i'd really like it if the "normal" mode was a tiny bit easier. I feel like I need to do everything perfectly to win, there's not much room for errors and I'm always sinking in the lava after I print my first floater. I really like the player model and animation, and sound design is great, but the music is a bit repetitive.

thejohnyfeed 2020-10-26 21:40

The idea and the gameplay is very good! The graphics is also very nice

jrevel 2020-10-26 21:44

Pretty cool game ! That is one of the first games I played, but I forgot to comment it, so here it is ! The gameplay works really well, even if it is a bit hard to understand controls at first. I feel some kind of safe time in the beginning would have been good to let the player get used to the controls and the gameplay in a non stressful environment. The concept does really fit the theme really well, it is cool to see how constraints can force you to bend game genres in creative ways. That is the kind of games that would be really fun in co-op

mightymaster99 2020-10-26 21:49

This was a pretty fun game! It took me a few tries to realize that I actually needed printers to win. I thought I could rush to get the victory item, but I guess not. I also really liked the music!

agentparsec 2020-10-26 23:19

I got very close to winning, but I fell 3 yellow blocks short before I went under. It's pretty intuitive though, since I played it without reading the instructions but still managed to figure out what I needed to do. Good job all around!

betovf 2020-10-27 16:53

Superfun! I love Lil Dude animations

mikoziq 2020-10-27 17:56

As I promised yesterday :)

So the gameplay loop is pretty functional and concept itself is really cool. The music (or rather notes) is just enough to keep the mood going throughout the gameplay. I played on normal mode and managed to get the end.

Resource management is very interesting and I found it quite intuitive to go by and utilize. What was not so intuitive for me though was the actual printer / selector interace. I would definitely prefer to get the menu on the printer itself and just confirm my choice. Maybe it's just me but I found the current interface iteration a bit confusing and I lost quite a lot every time when I tried utilizing arrows instinctively to select what I want to print and Space to confirm on Selector. There's a room for improvement here.

Other than that, the game felt a bit lacking in variety of what to do, but it's a game jam, there's always place to complain on that matter, for my game as well.

Visual-audio representation is solid nontheless and you did a good job!
