A fighting game its not commun in gamejam, and it support the gamepad it's not common in gamejam. It lacks of feedback effect, and sound (music is good but no sfx). The control is nice, the hero jump very hight ! But its easier to dodge attacks ! I reached phase 4 of the boss, i don't know if i can beat him, because the death is maybe inevitable relative to the theme. Good job it was fun !

Cool to see a fighting game. Jump height and dashing felt really nice. Good music.
I missed some kind of life meter, and i wish there was more feedback on hits (both on the player character & on the boss). Doesn't have to be fancy, just flashing the sprite and play a simple sound effect.

The controls were a bit difficult, especially with Ctrl + S and other combinations doing wacky things in the browser. Also some feedback on the boss (and you) getting hit by attacks would help make the fight clearer. Otherwise this is solid boss-fighting game, and the dash effect looks cool!

As others have said, cool to see a side on fighting game in a jam! Interesting concept to keep adding features to the boss as you beat them over and over, kinda like phases in some other boss fights. Good job!
I think it could have used player health in the UI, and some wind-up on the boss melee attacks as when they happen its too fast to dodge (for an old person like me anyway haha).

cool game, i want more attacks for the player !
I had a lot of fun playing this. I reached phase 7 and almost got to 8. The controls are a little tricky to learn, but I got used to them pretty quickly. The character design was also really unique. Keep up the good work!

Cool Game. I like the concept of a big boss fight, with multiple phases. Maybe there was not enough feedback on how many life I still have and when did my hit touch the enemy, but I still enjoyed it, I died at level 7 :)

Super fun game! A bit difficult to learn the controls at the beginning, but later I've managed to reach level 6!!! Nice music, it would be nice to hear few basic sound fx's in it. Well done!
Crisp, clean combat :) When I play these games, usually the first thing I try to do is see what kinds of cancels I can do. I couldn't find anything useful other than attack -> backdash, and dashing into the boss' head which does a tiny hop over it (this one was not useful at all but occasionally looks cool.
You put in a lot more variety in the boss attacks than I expected. Especially when the fire pillars appeared I was like "oh okay, we're doing THAT now". So excellent work overall on making an interesting game!

Nice little boss fight game!
I was a bit skeptical at first, since some basic elements such as the character controller or feedbacks are not perfect. But the rhythm of the game (the fact that the boss only takes a few hits at each level is very good) and the very varied patterns make the game interesting and challenging really quickly! Great job on making such a simple idea fun and coherent with the theme!
Nice, smooth gameplay but the graphics a bit blurry.
It took a while for me to realize that there was even an attack animation, X wasnt even working so i thought there was no health bar. THe music is really nice, I wish the boss had more interesting mechanics instead of throwing magic balls at the player
Fun mechanics, with a quick, but smooth learning curve. Attacking did feel soft due to the lack of an auditory feedback, but overall, a fun game.
