As @Seskon mentioned, player and rock has random frictions that causes "stuck". Overall a very nice game. Nice Pixelart, matching animations and snappy controls. Thx for that
Achived to bring it 5 times, but then it started to get repetitive. Maybe you should add something to show progression of the player. Overall - game has good looking graphics, good job)
@corporation : Yeah, I can imagine, time ran out to make it more interesting.
But you were close to the end: On the fifth attempt, a lightning stroke hits the top of the mountain and removes the peak - one more go (a 6th time) and Sisyphos would have been able to put the rock on top of the mountain ;-)
Thank you for playing the game!
@gilborn damn, I was close XD
Lovely graphics and good idea. had a few snags with the rock but the carry mechanic helped with that! Good job!
Neat graphics and awsome catch on the theme! Here's some of my sugestions to improve:
-As Corporation said I've became a little bit bored by the 4th-5th time, a progression sense should be awesome to complement. -Put a "restart" button into the game, I really miss it when I died  -Make the rock also kills Sisyphos somehow (smashing him, maybe?) it would really bring some dificulty improvement to the game.
But anyways, this is a relly nice game, well done!
Surprisingly fun for what was meant to be eternal punishment. The additions each loop were fun, and that music loop was really well done alongside the other sound effects.
Its a cool Idea, nice story that fit the theme. The game play was just a little repetitive and after loop 4 I kind of lost interest. I also got stuck on some of the ground collision a couple of times which caused me to have to start over.
@diefleder : Yes, there are some overlapping colliders that cause Problem. Easier than a restart would have been to go back a little bit to gain speed or to throw the rock. But yes, there is an issue, unfortunatelly time ran out to fix the colliders.
After loop six, the game comes to an end (in loop 5 something is happening that changes the circumstances for sisyphos ; )).
Think I should have make too loops less, since it gets repetitive in playing.
Thank you for playing the game!
This was a cool little game. The graphics are very well done. I like that you had multiple background layers that gave the world a sense of depth. Also your lighting/shadows looked really cool as well. It was tough pushing the rock up the mountain and eventually one of those pterodactyls got me. But all in all this was really cool and fun. Good job!
Nice idea, nice pixel art!
(struggled a bit to move the rock above the mountain the first time before I discovered the grab feature)
Beat it!
I loved the lighting, decadent music and demon sprites, they synergized well.
Overall nice entry!
@manusaiz : Thank you, always nice to hear if somebody plays your game through!
This is a great idea for a game based on the theme, but I think there needs to be more to make it clear to the player that they're making progress.
Looking at other comments here, there obviously is progression to the game, and even an ending, but sadly I gave up before seeing the end. Perhaps making the act of pushing the rock a little easier might help--I got stuck completely multiple times.
These minor gameplay complaints aside, the music, art and mood of the game were all great!
@squimmy : Sounds like you played not my game - there are no doors or a ship in there.
So please, if you left a rating, adjust it to my game ;-)
Thank you!
@gilborn Oh my goodness, I'm sorry! I mixed up two reviews. I'll edit my post with the correct review...
@squimmy : No problem, thank you for playing the game! : )
The lightning strike was unexpectedly frightening :D
Good job!
Decent enough loop. I had to look up what a Strg key was, it's a Ctrl key here and I've never heard that before. Once I figured that out I was able to get the rock to the top of the mountain and throw it over. Then, of course, the bird smooshed me, which I thought was pretty funny.
Interesting take on the theme, but it got too frustrating for me to finish the 6th objective (I stopped when the dropped boulder bounced off the rock and hit me in the face). Music sets the stage of the struggle. Good work! (Works in Linux with Wine)
Art is not good, try harder next time. Partly match the theme, maybe next time it will be better.. Average audio, it not bad but not good, try harded next time. Average fun game, but maybe next time you will polish the gameplay and it will be better.
I guess the commenter above me is spamming random comments? The art is definitely very good and it matches the theme well! It's too bad the gameplay is so broken, if the boulder were just a little bit easier to push, I might have played it through to the end. We have to imagine Sisyphos happy, because at least he doesn't wrangle with physics bugs.
Nice atmosphere. I like how the level is build, with the mountain and the rock to push. The control of the character is good, but with the rock, feeling are always different. Sometimes it's easy to push even in a hard slope, sometimes the character is just stuck. I like the music even if the notes are sometimes out of tune. Good small concept.
@indigo : Thank you for defending me, and thank you for the feedback and playing the game. Hehehe... Albert Camus would have liked your comment also ; )
Sadly time ran out to fix the colliders.
Regarding the Anonymous comment: Apart from the harsh tone, I can understand the critics, except for graphics and theme - it would have been great to get constructive feedback here. But ok - I guess this can happen with "anonymous comments" allowed :-)
