ok..

cookiera 2021-04-27 10:23

It crashed when I got a lot of resorces, but looks good.

bereg 2021-04-27 10:45

I like this type of game with indirect control and resource management. It took me some time to figure out what to do in your game, it could benefit from a simple tutorial. At some point, it became a bit boring, as there is not a lot you can control. Maybe you can add more resources, more stuff to do, like buying instruments, upgrade miners, and so on. If you do so, the game will shine at its best. Also, it crashes when I almost reach the goal, just like in the real life.

fy0 2021-04-27 14:52

Hi guys, Thanks to play!

I'm sorry about crash, I really don’t have enough time and I’m too sleepy to find the problem.

This Sunday and Monday are working days for me, and because of work overtime. I usually get home at 9 o'clock and work at jam until 2am. My partner is in a similar situation to me.

In addition, due to the first participation, I did not make a good plan. Wasted some time. Some gameplay mechanisms have been designed, but there is no time to implement them.

Anyway, this is an unforgettable experience, thank yours again for playing, this make our works has meaning.

@cookiera @bereg

Thanks for playing. We have received the problems you get. This is a good experience for us and I believe we can do better next time

twoshoedlou 2021-04-29 12:05

Love the graphics but I was hoping for more of a cookie clicker style of gameplay. Still a great effort and fun to try!

viperux 2021-05-02 19:21

I tryied a bit your game, The graphic looks good and the music too :-) I saw it's your first Jam so congratulations for your submit! Here some considerations:

- You've added some music/audio at your first jam, well done! There are a lot of games without audio, it makes the difference; - Unfortunately the game crashed to me too (3 times). You can bugfix even after the jam ends (even today or tomorrow). I would like to try to reach -300mt; - The game seemed a little bit "linear" and out of my control. Sometimes I losed at the beginning because I didn't found any gold; - You should try and rate more games to gain more visibility (so more people can try and rate your game) and more experience for the next jam.

Good luck with the ratings! There is plenty of time to reach 20 ratings and to enter the ranking.

@viperux

Thanks very much, theses suggestion is very useful for me, and all new hands. Wish you got a good rank.

I fixed the bug.

dobrila 2021-05-03 20:15

The game seems a bit slow to me with a lot of repetition that yields random rewards that are out of my control. I didn't feel much of a difference when I hired tons of people compared to when I just started. Also I managed to reach 300m just as I was starting to have fun. The graphics and the music is very nice and cheerful! A really nice game!

cakestorm 2021-05-03 20:23

This game looks like it has a lot of potential - and it's good fun as it is now! Having to manage your workers and costs, as well as your reputation and skills, all made the game feel quite deep mechanically, which was nice. The events when mining were also a good addition, and they added a good bit of flavour to the game - it made it much more engaging to play. The randomness did feel unfair, though, and sometimes I would mine all my money away, and still find nothing, which wasn't particularly enjoyable. Some sort of goal to work towards would've been great too, since otherwise there wasn't really much reason to play past a certain point.

The graphics were very nice and they looked great for a jam game! It was all very clear and easy to read too, which is always a great thing to see in a game. Some animations or more movement to the graphics would've been good, though, since right now it does feel a bit flat - that doesn't mean it's not a nice looking game! The way the music changed between levels was an interesting feature, so that was cool.

It was a fun game, all in all, so good work on it!

seskon 2021-05-04 10:04

I reached exactly depth 300 but i needed to go 1m further to win so i assume your if-statment is > 300 not >= 300 as the winning condition was stated in the window at the beginning ;D

I did not understand what the skills are for, i just hired the cheapest guys and mined my way down. Is it just not fully implemented or did i do it accidently right? In the end I didnt even feel like it would have made a diffrence if I would have just sticked with the 3 guys i bought at the beginning.

Overall the game is interesting and the experience was good but I think you could have left out a few things and then focus a bit more on polishing or adding more variety to the basics, a simple polished game is alot better then a game with lots of/complex gameplay mechanics but also having lots of bugs.

rexgame 2021-05-05 15:46

its a good game :p

jrevel 2021-05-05 17:08

That's fun ! Add some animations to the characters and it will be perfect ! Btw I'm not sure adding an ending is really useful in this game, I got it when I did not expect it, but I would have played a little longer if it had not appeared.

skoopidy 2021-05-05 17:08

Rough around the edges, 0 visual feedback, but i respect the fact that you made all the sounds, music, graphics in 72 hours. Impressive, though quite raw and in current stat, pointless for the player and boring. The ux was quite frustrating, for example, had to click on the 'mine' button that is located close to the right bottom corner and then click button on the pop-up with results that is almost on the opposite side of the screen. A lot of things that i don't like are most likely the way they are because of lack of experience or simply not enough time, so i'm not going to continue into other minuscule details.

andrewdavidj 2021-05-05 21:58

Not bad! With more polish, this could have a lot of potential! :)

sli 2021-05-05 22:04

I liked how it looked. It bothered me that I didn't understand if workers bonuses were cumulative or I could have just one of each type. After some point it felt a little repetitive. Good take on the theme. Overall good job.

mvasko2 2021-05-09 11:03

Really nice graphics and music, well done

Regarding the game itself - it wasn't very clear what I need to do. I knew that I had to reach 300 meters, but I didn't really know how. I figured it out by hiring people and clicking on buttons, but a tiny little tutorial would be helpful.

I applaud you for the courage of choosing this type of game for this jam, because I think it's very difficult to balance games like this. It simply consumes a lot of time and effort to tweak everything in a way that the game has the right difficulty.

Unfortunately, it shows here - the game is too easy. Nothing stops me from hiring all the employees, and thus improving my efficiency all the time, because I always had enough money. I had a simple strategy:

1. hire everyone I can afford 2. dig until I have no money left 3. go back to the surface 4. repeat from step 1

Maybe there should have been a bigger cost for digging? Or maybe some random "disastrous" events should be happening? Maybe employees should leave after a while because they don't earn enough money? Basically, there should be **something** which makes things more complicated for the player. Otherwise, the game quickly becomes boring.

I think there is a lot of potential here, but there are a lot more things to be done in order to make the game work.

That said, this is still impressive for such a short amount of time, good job!

hojaverde 2021-05-09 13:29

Nice graphics and music. Gameplay is too repetitive for my taste. But I like the concept of mining and crew management.

krac3r 2021-05-09 16:15

I'm on Mac so I am unable to play this, but it looks cool! Nice job!

meta-link 2021-05-09 16:46

Fun game ! I really liked the concept and it work well.

Good job

oroshix 2021-05-09 16:56

Nice concept. As others have said, a bit repetitive and too easy, but it was fun to play.

vixenmink 2021-05-11 02:46

I expected a different control scheme for this game but fun none the less

escapade 2021-05-11 13:56

Nice game, I think you could make it a bit harder, say, introduce more uncertainty into the gold and relic mining such that there are just some times where the mining really doesn't bear fruit and you end up losing money, which would be more similar to real life. I think that would make it more interesting. Making it harder also makes the player think more about strategy.

fabula-rasa 2021-05-11 19:25

Pretty cool, even though it's somewhat too easy. Graphics are pleasant, and the music is quite upbeat and nice.

Could use some balancing, as right now it seems that whatever you do, you will win :). Maybe introduce some possibility of complete failure of an expedition (maybe a cave-in?) / loosing workers (in accidents for example) / cursed relics that will decrease some of your stats - just some ideas of possible obstacles :)
