The download is missing some files it seems, I can't play it. Whatever's generated with the .exe prolly needs to be included as well.

yeah for me as well
@seskon @zachsbutt Thanks so much for checking and letting me know. I just uploaded a new version that includes the missing files. I tested it on a machine without the dev tools and it seems to work. Thanks.
Cool game! Loved the fact that after some time you kinda learn how to guess the ship's velocity and turn at the right moment to pick garbage up, super satisfying.
@stefan-pijnacker-gd thanks so much!
Hi there ! Thanks for submitting your game to my stream (twitch.tv/drjavasaurus). I really enjoyed this game, in my top 10 as it stands :D The art is consistent and there is a great contrast between what you're supposed to pick up and what you're to stay away from. The controls have the exact right amount of "floatyness" to them, making the game feel fair and just. Well done ! The very subtle gravity is the cherry on top !
@javasaurus Thanks!
very satisfying to play after a while
@feiko Thanks so much!
I found it difficult to angle the back of my ship correctly. I kept exploding :(
Great concept, simple but fun. I thought I'd be able to spend most of the game just playing backwards but it ended up being much trickier than I expected!
It was a little difficult to get used to the controls, perhaps they could be a little more responsive? In any case, once I got the hang of it I had a good amount of fun. Nice work!
Pretty fun, I like the visuals, but I feel like the "only gather at the back" part held it back. You have no 'backwards' mobility, so it ends up with you flying in front of a patch and just braking, pointing yer butt at 'em and hoping for the best.
Very nice to play, flying backwards felt a lil finicky at times, but I enjoyed the game and it was plenty difficult! ♥
Pretty fun game, I kept playing for a bit after I had decided it was time to stop, so it had that 'one more time' feel for me that I get when a game's core loop is good. I think, for me at least, it would have felt better if there were more level with fewer required garbage in each level. Your jump animation was super, though.
A really fun game that reminds me of those old flash games I used to play as a kid.
We played for a few minutes- only got through 1.5 levels. I like the backward mechanic / scoop- it's a nice twist on this space game mechanic.
The inclusion of cutscenes was superb- excellent work there. SFX were nice and arcade-y, definitely a plus.
Overall pretty good. No negative critique to speak of.
@conneli Yeah there's some strategy involved for sure! Glad you enjoyed it!
@popdaddygames Thank you so much for the positive feedback!!!
@pokaloms Thank you! That's what we were kind of aiming for!
@twobitmatt Thanks for playing! That's actually an interesting idea, I don't think we thought of adding more planets with fewer garbage, but we also tried not to make the game feel too repetitive. Thanks for the feedback!
@thecreator Thank you so much!
Nice job! I liked the art for the garbage and thought the "jump" animation where it dumps what you picked up was pretty neat! It's difficult to control at first but learning how to play gravity to your benefit is fun.
@worblir Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
Very fun! When you get used to using the gravity to slingshot yourself into objects turning around at the last minute the satisfaction is on point. I love the music and sound design too, great work!
@fonics Thank you so much!
Great job! Looking forward to more levels!
I did not find the concept of "positioning your ship backwards to collect the garbage" fun =( Also, the collision shapes are small. The ship is already touching the mine but haven't actually collided with it yet but I guess it would make the game harder. The music is good though, it fits the game.
Also, a note on UX. When I die, a game over screen is shown but it tells me to press enter to go to the menu. I want to try and play again. Why are you telling me to go to the menu? Give the player the option to "retry" and "go to menu".
Nice concept for the theme! Also, the game screen somehow was bigger than my laptop screen. Maybe an option to adjust the game screen size.
Super fun, great art, great music, and I really like the animations when you beat a level. I wish you moved just a little bit faster
Pretty satisfying to play for a long time, but also add a retry button to the death screen. I dont wanna go to the menu.
It was kind of fun, though I found it quite annoying that you move so slow in the direction that you also have to pick up. I liked the graphics though!
It takes time to understand controls and stuff, but it's worth it. Loved the art style, keep it up!
Simple, but amazing)
UPD. You forgot to remove debug mode on RIGHT CTRL
The art style is cool, and I like how the movement works like one might expect in space. Some of the trash is really amusing to me as well, like "How the heck did that get there?" Further, the jump animation is great, just the concept of jettisoning a bunch of garbage to propel yourself through hyperspace is hilarious and great.
I see you opted out of audio but I feel it necessary to say this music *slaps* and fits the game well, good choice.
And as some others have said, it's *really* fun to go speeding at a piece of trash and then turn around to catch it.
Enjoyed the gameplay. and the Audio
I liked your game my congratulations, I also did one if you want to know, and give me your feedback I am very grateful, this is the link https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/resurrection
Nice game with good graphics but in my opinion too hard. I didn't manage to finish it.
While collecting garbage only with your back seems interesting in its current implementation it makes the game more inconvinient than it makes it more fun. I think some tweaking of speed/accelaration/turn speed etc could improve it. Other than that, great fun game!
Pretty fun, I liked turning around the last second to pick up the items. Not being able to pick items up from the front added more challenge to the game which I liked.
The orbit lines were really convenient, it shows the player where they can expect things to go, and work around that. Very well done.
Fun game! Really like the tie in with the theme. The graphics work well and are consistent in theme, and the controls are pretty much spot on.
Enjoyable once I realised I kept dying because I wasn't turning around before collecting garbage! Much fun, and very satisfying to get a good streak of pickups!
The game does seem a bit too hard, but debug comes up on right ctrl
Congrat ! :) This is a great idea !!
It's a good entry. Not my kind of game due to the randomness of difficulty, but it is a solid entry. Maybe have a difficulty curve next time. Nice work.
The art is really good, and I really like the orbit presentation depicting the trajectory of space junk and mines. The hitboxes are really generous as well, and the difficulty was tuned to be approachable, but difficult.
I thought the "capture junk from the backside" mechanic has some really cool potential. That said, it was unfortunate the large drag on the ship turns the mechanic more of an annoyance. If the ship moved like Asteroids, e.g. little to no friction, I can see how this mechanic would force the player to make a commitment in collecting a specific space junk. As it stands right now, I felt the ship moved too slowly for the mechanic to really shine.
Those damn mines! And iPhones!
This was a cool game. It was challenging but not impossible. The little texts to explain things were also very good and sometimes necessary, first I thought the green orbs were fuel. I really liked the gravity mechanic and the controls handled well. Some of the enemies seemed not to die though. The music was really good and kept me going until I beat it. Good job!
it's really hard but doable so that's nice. Good job! I think the ship slows down too quickly, so if you are close to an object, speeding up and turning arround to get it is not easy but that's just really a nitpick so again, good job! :)
