Liked it. For me the pace can go up more when you advance to make it more challenging. I did like the graphics of the game, nice and minimalistic. For me the design of the start and menu didn't really match the style of the game itself. I just played it about 10 times!

nice game ! love the art. the gameplay is really engaging... well done !

Polished core gameplay loop. Feel like the hitboxes need a touch more work, occasionally hit a rock that I didnt visually clip. good work.

Nice game, loved the art! Sadly, I sucked at it a lot.

Fun and simple game. Big fan of the art, minimalistic and easy on the eyes. Not too easy but not too hard, having levels/stages to show progress would be nice. Well done!

I really enjoyed this, simple yet juicy! The art looked great and it's addictive! I like how you force the player to jump by making the slime slowly slide down the screen - it felt really polished.

The different backgrounds and particles such as snow depending on the setting helped keep each playthrough feeling fresh. You should definitely develop your game post-jam for mobile! Well done!

Simple yet fun and easily could be a cool mobile game Looking good but if you add rock demolish animations and little variety to sides would be spectacular!

Yay, loved this! I am a big fun of simple but fun gameplay. Props on the variety in backgrounds. Overall felt fun and polished. My only critique at all would be that at first I thought if I jumped and smashed a rock that was a good thing; like a Mario bounce. Took me a bit to realize I was actually taking damage there - the health stats coulda been more obvious in the UI. Thanks!

Great repetitive game. It's simple but quite fun, add some music and more variation and you got yourself a great mobile game to play on the way to work. Congrats.

Fun simple game! Really liked the mechanic that forces the player to not just stand still and wait.

klettari 2020-10-07 00:24

simple but fun! I liked how you feel like getting higher up (to get away from the bottom), but then you have less time to react to incoming obstacles, so there's a balance. there's probably a bunch of games "press to jump from side to side to avoid rocks", but you added a nice spin on the idea by having to worry about sliding down, so you don't just sit and do nothing until there's a rock in front of you

I love the art style and it's decently fun and simple! I think you guys balanced the difficulty of the game perfectly.

I really like the art style and slime animation. Sfx are very nice as well. Very polished experience! I did not feel much connection to the theme of the jam but have no complaints otherwise :)

Not my kind of game but a great jam job!

theo-ark 2020-10-07 17:27

This game has such a pretty art style, i liked how u had to keep moving instead of always waiting the right moment :D

duck-reaction 2020-10-07 17:27

Simple but very fun, I see a potential to be a hyper casual game on mobile devices. Agree with @fabula-rasa, the slime animation is very nice.

Great job

omeletton 2020-10-07 17:51

It would be a great mobile game

This was a rather fun game. The graphics were nice as well. However, it seemed like it was virtually impossible to dodge rocks at times. The rock which comes in the center from the top felt a little random and unfair as well. Any type of indicator would have helped tremendously to know where the rocks would come from. Rather fun none the less. Got 1200. Nice entry

arad-hamidsamiee 2020-10-09 09:09

Nice little game, good job

nsadie 2020-10-10 11:44

Quite fun with some nice art! I would have loved for gameplay to mix up a bit as you go further!

jofish 2020-10-11 17:51

This was cool! I love the art style, I like that the backgrounds change, I think the idea to have the camera constantly pushing up was neat, even though it often led to me either forgetting about it and falling offscreen or jumping because I had to but hitting rocks and losing health anyway. This is really impressive for such a short time, so well done!

matootsy 2020-10-11 17:54

I like the simplicity of the mechanic and the art. The command are very easy to take in hand, and the animation of the slime is clean. The fact that's an endless game is not enough to match the theme in my humble opinion, but it's an addictive game. The good idea is that you have to jump to be quicker than the scrolling. It give more challenge. With a lively music it must be a very nice little game.

gammaromeo 2020-10-11 18:01

Addictive game. Interesting mechanic where you have to keep jumping or you slide down and its game over. Wasnt sure exactly where the 'stuck in a loop' part fit in. Nice job overall!

cjgladback 2020-10-14 23:52

My high score was 1800 the second play through (got lucky with a bunch of hearts and wasn't over-hopping and blindly hitting all the rocks yet). This was a lot of fun, thanks to good high-contrast art, easy to grasp (and low-physical strain) controls, and pleasant sound design. As some have mentioned earlier, a little more indication of where things will be might be good for making it less of a luck game. But this was pretty, and I appreciated the graphics making it more theme-consistent (unless there's further gameplay that makes it more of a loop than just the continuous cycle of times and seasons).

ismael-rodriguez 2020-10-16 21:40

This is a cool game! Great art, good idea that fits the theme. Would work perfectly on mobile!

I like the wall-jump mechanic of this game. But I feel like many times when I hit a wall-rock, there wasn't much else I could.

Like I would see the rock, and know before I pressed jump that I'm going to hit it, but it's not like I could actually see that rock before I landed in that position. Or the climb speed wasn't fast enough for me to bypass the rock then jump. So it's either jump into the rock or get chomped. It's especially problematic when the speed picks up. It turns into spamming jump and hoping the hearts and rocks just spawn in such a manor that I can survive.

Maybe If I could hold the button to oscillate a trajectory, then release to jump I'd feel like I have more agency. I also wonder if you're better off keeping the speed low, speeding up the wall climb a bit, and just introducing other mechanics/obstacles to keep it interesting. Maybe falling shouldn't be the risk, and just allow it to be an endless runner with 2 tracks. Just some things to think about.

The sound effects were pretty simple, and could better. I actually prefer the absence of music, but then the sounds need to carry!

Overall it's a good game that just needs some fine-tuning! Good job!

revanj 2020-10-25 04:14

Nice game! One of the mechanics that I find interesting is that the slime goes down if we don't move for too long, force the player to be constantly jumping even if there is no obstacles. Is this done on purpose? If so, that's really a very clever mechanic!

krysh 2020-10-27 13:40

Really nice and simple, well executed game! I really like the art style and different backgrounds as well!
