Fabular introduction and music are such a good things is this games, although i cannot pass one lvl with this many boxes who killing you, but i left a high rating cause for a try-hard type it give a fun

funemaker 2020-10-05 21:07

I really liked your artwork and the smooth animations! As someone that has experience with pixel art lots of respect for choosing such a small size and still making it look great.

vetu11 2020-10-06 18:36

Very nice! I found the controlls too quick for the precission required

drearyplane8 2020-10-06 18:40

The pixel art really is excellent, the amount of character in such few pixels. I would say the game is a little too difficult.

noirox 2020-10-06 18:41

That is a really good game, wow. I loved the controls, super snappy and every mistake felt like it was 100% my fault. The levels were very well designed and the way they progressed over time felt natural and it was fun to see what challenges you came up with next. The theme, style and setting all fit together really well, tool, and the whole thing felt like a very coherent experience overall. I loved the low pixel style and I think it looks great! Definitely one of my highlights so far.

federico-delgado 2020-10-06 18:43

Well, first of all, the music is amazing, it´s very chill and it´s not annoying at all. I see a lot of effort in this game and the whole experience was 5 stars for me. I liked that you restart the level instantly when you die, you really want to play again and go further (last platform level was kind of difficult not going to lie but when i passed it i really felt that i have achieved something important. Imagine my reaction when i saw a totally unexpected boss fight at the end with a new combat mechanic. Obviously there are some little things like some colissions were too big (maybe you can adjust them to be a little bit smaller than the actual sprite). But in overall i really loved your game, totally recomended!

Nice artwork and many challenging levels. A great entry.

samdemaine 2020-10-08 11:15

Nice game! The graphics are right up my alley and the controls are a pleasure to use, could you check out my game when you can? :D

kpedatte 2020-10-08 11:17

Nice concept. Congrats

mackandrius 2020-10-08 14:08

Great entry, loved the world building and the visual aesthetic you went for, congrats!

wormholegames 2020-10-08 16:07

@easygoingdubber Thank you! The music is amazing indeed :)

@funemaker Yeah it came out pretty good! Thanks for playing!

@vetu11 Yeah, the controls could have been smoother. Thanks for the feedback.

@drearyplane8 Thank you so much! Some levels were a tad too difficult yeah, but we also did that to make the game a little longer.

@noirox Thank you!! We tried making every 'world' different and cool. Thanks for playing!

@federico-delgado The composer that helped us with the music is very talented :) I'm pretty new to programming and finishing a game in such a short time-span, so thanks for the feedback.

@someone Thanks!

@samdemaine Thank you! Will surely try out your game :)

@kpedatte Thanks :)

@mackandrius Thanks! we tried making it a coherent experience, but also make every world different. Thank you for playing.

iluvatar 2020-10-09 11:42

Thank you for this! This game really reminds me of the early 2000's indie games, don't know why. Probably the art approach and style :) love it, very nostalgic for me.

sanojian 2020-10-10 19:28

I got stuck on a level and was going to criticize the game was too small. But then I got past it and the game kept going and going. Good amount of content for a compo game! I managed to win and it was a very satisfying ending.

mastoast 2020-10-11 22:53

Nice game, i especially liked the narration without any dialogs, and the space scenes to show the scientist drifting between dimensions. Good work on visuals too, there is lots of different environment and all are well-made. I also saw the attention on the animation of the alien's antenna.

wormholegames 2020-10-12 08:11

@iluvatar Thank you :)

@sanojian Thanks! we were working hard until the deadline to give the game enough content.

@mastoast Yeah, we tried making some cutscenes for the first time! And nice to see that people pay attention to the small details, thats what we do it for. Thank you for playing!

gonzalol 2020-10-13 15:09

It's incredible how much you did in only 72 hours. It's a nice platform game, good work!

matootsy 2020-10-15 13:12

It's nice that you had made an introduction to the game. And many levels with different atmospheres. The music fit well. Control is a bit raw. I like when there's reactivity but perhaps the character go to fast. And the level design is a bit tricky, some space is a bit too small considering the speed of the controls. I gave up in the level with the mill where we have to go down between the thorns. Anyway. It's a quite complete entry.

marvalgames 2020-10-15 15:49

fun game. Well designed from the start. pick up and play, instant death, one more try all there. plus great music. Solid pixel art. As mentioned controls were super responsive to a fault in my case, but usually this is a game I will play with gamepad. Is it supported?? Regardless one I will play again which is rare

tomssuli 2020-10-15 15:59

Played it through. Nice graphics and a lot of different looking levels too :)

Maybe even too tight platforming, but I've had harder. Would have been nice to have a hint what to do in final boss, as there were no other places where you need up key.

Good and complete game overall!

wormholegames 2020-10-15 18:20

@gonzalol Thanks!

@matootsy Thanks for playing and that's a shame! there is a whole extra world after that world :)

@marvalgames Gamepad is not supported. Thanks for playing though and thanks for the compliments!

@tomssuli Thank you! did you manage to figure it out?

knatt 2020-10-21 15:01

Great submission! You do an excellent job drip feeding new mechanics and making challenging final levels with those mechanics. The controls felt very jerky, but I was able to beat the game regardless.

future-labs-unlimited 2020-10-21 15:19

Well that was fun! It has lots of content (including boss fights!), great music and (best of all) cow kidnapping aliens. :D The controls felt a bit clunky in the levels where you're jumping a lot between platforms (especially near the end with the disappearing platforms) and the death sound effect was too loud, but that were the only things that bugged me a bit. Really enjoyed this!

skleembof 2020-10-21 16:30

I think the best part of this game is the difficulty curve. The difficulty ramped up at what felt like the perfect time for me, and I had a lot of fun with the tight platforming.

I wanted to beat the game but I got stuck on the UFO boss fight. At first I thought I had to kill all the enemies but they never stopped spawning. Then I thought I had to time my jumps so that I bounce off an enemy's head, and hit the next enemy as its falling out of the UFO to get enough height to jump on it, but that didn't work either. Eventually I gave up after about 10 minutes of trying.

The music was great and so was the presentation. I liked the little cutscenes and transitions

wormholegames 2020-10-22 18:09

@skleembof The objective was to use the laser in the room which you actvate by pressing E (a big E is on the laser) but I guess it wasn't clear enough. Thanks for playing though!

trexxak 2020-10-23 04:26

I made it to the UFO level. I wish the controls were a bit crisper, but other than that it's obvious you spent a lot of time on level design and it payed off!
