Really liked the screen graphics. Could use a little more work on the case and buttons. Nice sounds. Stuck to the theme! I thought I was doing pretty well, but then my guy just up and died...
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD46 → Tamagojamy

The art is sooooo pretty and I loved that moustache. It took me a few attempts before understanding how the game worked, specially how to go to work. Also it could have more varied minigames in the future. The sounds were nice and it would be even better with music.
It could be a pretty fun game if you developed it further. Keep up the good work. =]
And please please please, how did you do that window on Godot? Could I have the source code?
Nice Game, i really liked it ^^
Great execution! When I first heard the theme, the same thought came to my head of Tama- You really pulled it off well, the graphics are adorable, and the tasks/mini game keep you engaged and focused, with lots to do. I like how when in the bathroom, but then going to the next room over through the wall, you must wait for your tama to walk through the entire house to get to you - small but realistic little bit you managed to program in! The only thing I feel it could have benefited from (which would be hard to implement in the 8bit screen.. but maybe on the general game window?) would have been a tutorial of sorts. All in all though, excellent job!
@nathalia-hohl in godot you can activate the transparency effect inside the "project settings" under "display"->"window"->"per pixel transparency" and then just check "Allowed" and "Enabled". Now you only have to make the background of your scene transparent with get_tree().get_root().set_transparent_background(true) (you can also do that in a global skript)
@redhermit Thanks for your kind words :D Though I do get, why some people don't want to figure out what some of the symbols mean and how to play exactly, I also think, that in this particular case, the experimentation-part of the game is essential for the experience :)
Nice pixel gameboy art graphics. Yes, tamagoshi is well adapted for the theme. Unfortunately, I am not able to understand what to do. It would be nice to have more information about the buttons, and how to interact. And when Tamagojamy it seems there's no way to start again... But the different screens look interesting.
Cool short-living tamagochi clone. Would have prefered if the rooms would've had WarioWare-esque minigames. Was there any use for the money?
Played on Android and it worked great.
@matootsy The missing restart functionality was indeed an oversight. Wasn't even on the design sheet. The left- and rightside buttons on the bottom don't do anything in this version unfortunately. The idea was, to have multiple stations in a room and you could select them with these buttons. You can also play with arrow-keys and spacebar
@gagapete Nice to read, the android version worked for you. WarioWare-esque minigames were originaly planned, but due to the tight schedule, it was not possible. The money has no use in the jam version. Maybe you've seen the computer and the closed online store. There you would have been able to by the necessities of life :)
I like games made in retro style. Sometimes it’s not immediately clear what the creature wants, but I managed to understand it. Nice work anyway!
Sooo cool :) It really feels like the classic toy :) Also thought about this but finally made a different game. Love the toilet paper pile :D very funny
Great little game! I like the nostalgia you've captured with the graphics. They're spot on. It was also fun running the little guy around and flushing his poops. Loved the mustache. Eventually my guy walked out the door and just stayed in the room outside. Bug or win condition?
better than real tamagochi !
I really liked the graphical style. Pretty accurate to the real thing!
