I finished the game! Congrats! It was beautiful and honestly, I stayed for the names. Unforutnately the core gameplay loop of dragging items got boring very fast but the rest of the game (and the humour) carried it

The concept is really cool and I had fun, but the way of picking things up is a bit frustrating. Nice job!

Wow very nice game! such a nice graphic :) very well done!

The art is amazing!! I think you should port this game to mobile, it's "pick'n'play" style would be particularly nice for that platform in my humble opinion. Great work!

beatiful art

Very satisfying game when the plant grows and make devastating attacks! Graphics are really really good, congrats on that.

But the gameplay is very tiring, only fast drag and drop. I did it on a trackpad, it was kind of tedious but I managed to complete it anyway

Good job on your game!

Good art work and music,it's really exciting to watch my monster grow up,the only thing is that my monster seems to be invincible, and no blood was lost throughout.

I have a pixel art fetish and this pleases me. Awesome job on the art, such smooth animations. It felt more like an interactive short comedy than a game, reminded me of "little shop of horrors"

:ok_hand:

I did enjoy your game and found it really to get into. I liked the idea of you evolving your plant to grow bigger as you kill more people. That brings me to the art. Really good job on the art work you guys did. The animations were smooth and felt natural. There were no bugs that I could see. Good Job!

@technonugget's comparison to an interactive comedy is a good description. I can't say that the core gameplay of clicking and dragging was all that engaging, but considering the length, the theming, party names (which maybe should be highlighted more or something?), animations, and juice of the rest of the game, it worked out. Great work putting all of your team's efforts together so seamlessly! Thanks for a fun few minutes. (Nit-pick - aside from the click-and-drag maybe being more fun as, say, directing the attacks and just waving the mouse over the loot to have to balance where your mouse it at any given time, there was only a minor juicy sound effect overload near the end of the game. Not sure if it's fixable, but just so you know.)

Made me laugh! Good story, introduction in the beginning is really great! Graphics are really nice. Gameplay loop is boring, you probably know it. Although, growing the beast is really satisfying. Seeing it tearing those silly adventurers to pieces. Great animations and good choice of sounds, btw! Not for the mouse, I feel like my carpal is coming back xD

pierre-cilluffo 2020-04-22 14:57

The animation of the monster is sublime. But the animation of the enemies makes poor next to this.

matootsy 2020-04-27 12:25

This is not in my taste, but I can say that the graphics and animations + introduction are very well made. Looking at the theme, it seems a little bit off. Not very original in my humble opinion, But the finishing is very clean. Congrat!

The art and mood of that game is great. I also liked the dialog and intro cutscene. I personally just wished there would be more gameplay-wise. And also in later staged I thought it get's a little hard to keep track of the mouse cursor. Maybe a bigger, custom made might work better.

Nice graphics, fun game. I included it in my Ludum Dare 46 compilation video series, if you want to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/LDazM6iYHxE
