LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Woofice Chair! by JorgeGameDev 2020-10-25T05:52:35Z

This is such an amazing game! I loved the theme of dogs on top of office chairs and the buffed animals just made me crack so much laughing! I really loved the overall presentation of the game, I can really see that a lot of love went to the game. Not sure if I have something to add. One of the coolest, most straightforward simple (in a good way) use of the theme! Keep up with this passion for game dev!

PS: I saw that you would doodle something from other games and perhaps mine would be interesting   My game has a Cocker Spaniel, it would make my day to see a Golden Cocker on top of the chair hahaha

I'm usually not in the mood for horror games, but I decided to give this one a try and I must say I'm impressed. No cheap jumpscares and very clear mechanics, it left me with the need to know what happens next. Hope I can see what's coming up with it. I managed to understand the game with about two failures and I very much liked how it progressed! The audio was quite immersive and earned my 5 stars on the mood category. Hope to see more from the game sometime soon! Keep up the great work!

Bust-a-Loop by PeachTreeOath 2020-10-25T05:22:09Z

Fun game! I thought the core idea was super interesting and challenging. Turning the idea of a fighting game into a puzzle is pretty cool! Loved the concept! I'll definitely keep an eye on it! :punch:

Blind Faith by sohakes 2020-10-22T02:16:18Z

Quite interesting idea for the stuck in a loop theme, must confess that I gave a big laugh once I've realized  the monsters are def OP, and I've looped more than two times and couldn't figure out the end of it unlesse killing one of the players. PS: thank you so much for playing my game! Beating the puzzles in 5 minutes was such a good time!

Hamsta's Paradise by brookman 2020-10-22T02:51:38Z

This is my favorite game I've played so far! It's unbelievable what you guys achieved in 72 hours. The use of the theme was straightforward, but super effective and I was already satisfied with the cage level, but the room level that came afterwards was an amazing touch. I see how people are talking about the camera, but I also know how hard it is to get a third person camera to work on such tiny space and for the jam the effect is cool are more than enough to work. I've also loved the music and the graphics (the hamster is super cute!). I don't have any criticism to add, maybe work on a post jam version with extra levels? The controls are very well built and we understand how the wheel works immediately (not to mention the polish with its bounciness and sparks when we move too fast). Thank you guys for bringing this cool experience to LDJam, we definitely need more of this!

PS: thanks for playing my game, hope you enjoyed it as well!

Within The Threes by JohnnyR 2020-10-22T02:58:04Z

Nice graphics and music! I've managed to leave the forest, but I wasn't sure if that was the only ending. I saw a scary dog, but didn't know if he was mine, as the barks stopped and came back randomly! Nice experience!

Smoothing things out by Shakedimus 2020-10-22T01:54:39Z

Luckily I had someone to play with and I must say it was a blast! Great idea that required a simple execution, reeeeally nice job. I just think that since the game is quite simple, some extra work could be put on the audio department and the graphics could use some extra work to make it more appealing and less linear transition (maybe a little bit of tweening to add some bounce to the animations and create a looping background to get rid of the tiresome white). Super fun game, please work more on it, we need an enhanced version

HONK II by Tricky_Fat_Cat 2020-10-22T03:20:22Z

Loved playing this game! I'm not with a lot of time for playing, so I didn't manage to reach the end of it! Really nice experience and quite brutal difficulty curve! I hope to get back to it soon! Everything about the game is awesome and I loved the music and the graphics are super effective! Nice to see some Godot games around. Good luck!

Lucky Lefty Loves Loops by TheBookSnail 2020-10-25T04:56:39Z

Fun little idea! I liked how simple it was and I was trying to beat the time here. I thought there was another ending to it, but the inception gave us a nice laugh, I kind of saw it coming, but it was fun to see. :snail:

Re-Slash by Croxel Studios 2020-10-18T19:18:49Z

This is such a fun and interesting game. Amazing use of the theme! It took more time than I expected to actually understand the gameplay, and I the last level almost gave me a heart attack  but it was an amazing and complete experience! Also, thanks for playing my game!

Outside The Loop by Peace Of Cake Games 2020-10-22T01:34:48Z

That was a very interesting game idea. I'm not gonna lie, I got stuck quite easily and couldn't understand how I managed to get pulled to the other floor (I'm guessing the surrounding blocks formed a portal?). With a little more polish to the graphics and the audio, and also by making a bit clear what the player is doing is going to make this a nice experience! Great job! PS: thanks for playing and rating my game! Good luck with the voting!

Stuck In a Hoard (While Looping) by WitekWitek 2020-10-22T02:13:46Z

Quite straightforward use of the theme; Being so simple, here are some things that came into mind that could improve the game: - Add the audio source to the Don't Destroy on Load, since this is a game where we're going to die a lot, it makes more sense to have the music looping non stop (also because it's a song that builds up intensity) - The behind the ball view doesn't seem to add a lot as there's a wall where the ball is fully hidden. Maybe moving the camera a bit up in order to have a full view of it could help! - Creating multiple layers of levels and using the icosahedron to bounce to other level layouts could also have improved the game as it would make it more interesting and having the risk/reward situation to be more effective - Show the current score and the highest score of the session could also be interesting (maybe you could use PlayerPrefs to store it on the person's browser) - The icosahedron sometimes did not propel me upwards, so I guess you must be applying force according to the rotation of the sphere (just a guess??). Fixing that would make the game a bit more interesting

Overall, adding more map layouts and a motivation to keep the player out of the "loop" would make it a great experience to entertain for a few minutes up to hours!
