Awesome game with a challenging yet rewarding game loop. Art was great, Audio was solid, overall just a well made game.

Sadly however, I did have some issues with your web version. First was with fullscreen, I was never able to fit the whole game on would occasionally be jumped by an unseen enemy. Furthermore, using Shift RMB would open up a context menu and would stop my movement.

Other than that, incredible game, big improvement from the early version I saw in your stream. Had a lot of fun playing it!

It's a bit too challenging for me. I played a handful of times but never once was able to make the candle ward work. I think I'm a bit thrown off by having to use SHIFT to place candles. In a constantly moving gameplay, the keyboard choice seems awkward for efficient playing. I'll admit though I also couldn't dash very effectively in this game. So maybe it's on me.

That being said, I really love the theme and the art style. Awesome work!

I really loved the art and the soundtrack! The game got my blood pumping and it feels amazing getting that clutch banishing that you have been preparing. That said I feel like there are maybe one too many mechanics in there? The different color demons (For which a reminder on the side would have been nice! Red and Blue were obvious enough but I always forgot what the other two were), the shooting of souls to feed the demon, the banishing with the candles and finally the summoning of own demons. The last point especially I could not find a use in but that might have just been me. I also would have light if I could somehow reset candles I placed wrong it felt very punishing placing candles in panic that were so far apart that I could not realistically close it. The best tactic seemed to be to over feed one demon to keep him loyal to you and he gets to destroy all other demons. Then finally banish him. This did make the game lag quite a bit tho. Making the body of the demons undulating particles was a great touch!

Nice game ! But this game need a patch to change the control scheme because the **shift** button in combinaison with right mouse button be a problem on web version.

Been watching you stream it while I was making my entry, was a crazy experience!

Love the game, your art is always great and music was absolutely amazing this time! Controls have some problems on the web but I enjoyed playing it.

Took me a few games to understand how to play correctly, but once I understood it I really enjoyed the concept. There's a very high APM in this game so I don't see myself playing it for hours, but I could see my self coming back to play this in short burst. Definitely a fun and interesting game with great art. Good work!

Really dig the music in this game. Art is sweet, concept is innovative and totally on theme. Absolutely nailed it. My main gripe is that the RMB didn't work in Firefox (although seemed to work in Edge browser) Awesome entry!

Clean art style, it took me a bit to grasp how it worked. It's an innovative spin on a genre and managing the various aspects of the game was a clever way innovate and integrate the summoning theme.

Nice game and enjoyable.

coderaurus 2024-04-16 21:06

I like the music a lot. I didn't quite get how the capturing and summoning works. It felt like a chaos and couldn't really recognize ally from foe with only the color coding. Perhaps different skulls would've made a difference. And when I tried banishing, sometimes it looked like it affected a demon nowhere near the ward.

I managed to bug the game. After a run I pressed ESC to jump back to main screen and back to the game from there, the level was filled with empty colored clouds.

Good job as always! How did GameMaker feel?

You are really great! The game turned out great!

dorren 2024-04-17 01:42

interesting little game, I found it to be alittle confusing to get what's going on and the mechanics feel top heavy but once I got it, I enjoyed it. Great work as always!

Four corners pog. Nice game! AI is pretty nice.

prcastro 2024-04-18 11:39

Very fun! The art if beautiful as always. A few bugs: the game screen was bigger than my screen and Shift + RightClick didn't work properly on Firefox. Great entry =D

Interesting game. Gorgeous visuals, as expected. Good work!

cemkaanu 2024-04-25 08:34

Although the visuals and the art direction are great, game was a bit chaotic as the color codes were forgotten really quickly but could be fixed with a better tutorial and onboarding

daniboygg 2024-04-28 16:13

Great game, I liked the music a lot, it reminds me to "charmed" show. The music and the demons trigger the memory for me

I know it's a jam game, but I would introduce the banish mechanic after playing a while, with some in game tutorial rather than explaining all together at the beginning. Playing this game with a gamepad could be easier.

aaron-hart 2024-04-28 21:06

This is impressive! The music rocks and the gameplay is simple but creative. It's honestly addictive!

I love how honest your channel is. You're very talented, thanks for sharing :)

oadt 2024-05-01 12:58

The tutorial slides and the fact that you have to remember which demon color means what were a bit too overwhelming for me. But otherwise nice game with some great graphics and music!

neowhoru 2024-05-02 17:07

Really great game! Its awesome that you learned gamemaker short before :)
