Very outstanding game, super polished! and i love how all the mental health atmosphere and undertone just seamlessly blend with each other! hard to believe this was done on a weekend!
The maximum effect of the mood. Good visual.
Cool entry, really nice art style!
Really liked the mental-health angle of the theme. The graphics were good and the grainy-filter really added to the atmosphere. A few times I tried to fire with the mouse-button and the bullet just dissapeared. But otherwise it was a solid experience.
Great job ! Nice graphics and very cool approach of the theme !
Nice game, i like the dark mood
Great game. Love the look, the atmosphere and the color change at the end. The color scheme really put you in the mood of Nathan. Nice touch with having him say different things for different pictures. Great sound design too! Good job!
This is... curious. I like this game)
Good mood and graphics, gameplay is great, it's like reading one life's story, but with an unusual book. The ambiance is all cool, but leveldesign is a bit messy, levels are too big and I accidentaly finished them without exploring all. And these walking sounds are not really good imo, after that continious "knock-knock-knock" I started to think about stability of my mental state haha
So atmospheric. The music is great, and I love how it switches when you get close to the monster. The pixel art is perfect; the player character's walk animation is the essence of depression and it totally got me. Excellent job.
great game! I love the visual style, the pixel art is very good, and the atmosphere is superb. Music is a good help too.
i like the atmosphere and the setting. The only thing I would change is the size of the levels or the walking speed - it kind of drags the gameplay. Everything else was great, though :)
So spooky inside the mind! Great music used, really made me sink into the game. Simple and neat graphics too! Love the black monster design haha
My mind was blown off when I died in the game :)
The atmosphere is great, the story clips are immersive. Enemies with chromatic distortion and text poping out are so cool, may reflect some creator's dark memory or recent emotions, I guess? Anyway, hope you have a good life. The gameplay has space to be improved.
A beautifully-crafted game! The quality of produced assets are incredibly high, especially for a three-day jam. The graphics are very well-polished--the monster design and animations in particular are amazing, and the visual effects successfully gave an 'unstable' feeling throughout the entire game. The sound design complements the visuals well and are nicely implemented--how you handled the sound of the approaching monsters and the transition from exploration to 'battle' comes in mind, for instance.
In terms of the gameplay itself, it was a bit confusing as to what I was supposed to do or where to go to since there are no indicators as to what goals I had to meet. I also found that sometimes the light bullets wouldn't launch properly if I clicked on the mouse too quickly in a consecutive manner...although I'm also terrible at aiming properly at the monsters. Additionally, the character's walking pace was a bit too slow for my liking--I was hoping that he could somehow run or execute a similar action like it.
As for the story, it's a wonderful take on the jam's theme! I liked the bits and pieces of the main character's memories scattered throughout the levels. Even without aiming to complete the game, I tried to explore all the areas so I can view all the memories. It would be nice (if you decide to do a post-jam, longer version) if you expanded the narrative more, as there aren't any concrete aims of the game in this version.
Final few comments on the audio: the exploration track doesn't loop well--whenever it loops back, you can hear a click. Also, it seems that the 'pick up memory' SFX is tied to the location of the memory picture instead of being a global sound? It was a bit jarring to hear it pan around when I move the character, although it ended up growing on me after a while.
Wonderful atmosphere, amazing mechanic of overcoming bad thoughts by getting positive ones. In my opinion, if you scatter some key things that reveal, albeit slightly, the essence of this idea, it will be 10/10. Even without it, the game is cool :)
Nice idea, good visual and music. But gameplay and level design are pretty boring for me, anyway, good job.
I love the amazing and stressful visual effect and the music. The experience of this game makes my think of my own childhood memories. Good job!
I loved the shader used to get this vibe in the game.
I really liked this one. There were various games in this jam that used some kind of mental instability in a disrespectfully and your game use it in a way that can be used to draw awareness to this topic, congratulations!
The game was immersive, but it was too slow for my liking.
The mood and music was so well done, and the pixel art animations, such a good job!
Man this game looks good, from the clean pixel art sprites to the orbs that accurately float around the player, not to mention the creepy monsters. What a well polished product in this project. I did find that I could often sidestep the monsters but thats okay, hitting them felt better anyway. Wish my project looked half as good.
very immersive and atmospheric. Like the idea of collecting posters as a kind of mental recovery method.
boring...
insanely strong aesthetically, really captured the depression of the empty office job. I think the monsters could have been more threatening and it would have gone well with the theme. As it stands once you work out how to fire the light bullets they aren't really a threat.
Amazing little game! Great graphics and mood
This is a full fledged game. Had an amazing time playing the game. Loved the visuals as well. This is the best game i have played so far in this Jam. Keep up the great work.
I enjoyed playing this game. The graphic artwork added to the mood with the sound. overall nice game to play.
Oof, that's a sad and too recognisable mood throughout.
Aesthetics and mood are bang on - audio is great, little bit of chromatic aberration - all good stuff. The levels are slightly too big for your move speed, I think - would prefer if they were slightly tighter. I also kept accidentally firing the shots trying to click through the dialogue once I'd read it!
Broadly though - great!
Good game. Atmosphere is on point with art and music. I also like how you tell the story. I think either the levels are too big or the character moves too slow. Combat is simple in a good way. One bug I found is sometimes your ball doesn't fire but instead disappears (2nd shot within a time frame). You might also want to consider giving the player more ammo in the first level. I went and used mine right away, making the fight impossible...
Great work, very solid entry!
The graphics and sound are just great. Liked the effects and method design. It's a good idea to reflect the number of their first eyes, if they also closed when receiving damage, it would be generally great, but these are trifles) The narrative part is also very good, it would be just as interesting to see a more detailed disclosure of the main character, to understand, what led him to this state. But it is clear that you cannot implement everything for jam)
Very atmospheric game, but damn ... What a slow character ... Your game is very difficult to play because of this). You just want to close it, because you understand that you will not see anything new further and you will wander through the meaningless labyrinths and see the hell out of empty useless space). Well, the colliders are crooked. But in general - well done. Although, of course, the game lacks a more open narrative.
A strong entry chiefly for graphics. Gameplay could have been much more faster i think. As a gamejam game pretty well made. Good job!
Looks and sounds very polish! Especially considering this is a jam entry. The mood is definetely on five thanks to that! Also appreciated 3d sfx and dynamic music@
5/5 for mood and graphics! Also, great interpretation of the theme.
I do love it actually, I like to see how a small team can with minimum tools tell some small story. Love it, thanks for it!
For me, this game is special. You have made a very good usage of the unstability theme and i realy love the atmosphere created by the very good pixel-art, mechanics and music. Congrats! I realy love your game!
A very good game. Everything is fine here: Music, atmosphere, idea, narrative and picture. All of these elements work together perfectly. The only pretense is that I would probably pass the character faster, or smaller locations.
Really amazing art style. Interesting premise and nice take on the theme.
I love it! Awesome art and sound design
Cool game
Polished game with interesting premise. I really enjoyed that, if You can enjoy a theme like that :)
Hey congratz really good looking game. I love the mood it has and the distortion effect you added on the corners of the screen. The music really works well with the game too! I think I saw a bug when you shoot too fat the 2 bullet isn't sent you have to really wait between 2 shoots. (I tested the 2nd version)
Great game! I loved the music and the general mood, and the game length was good too. I did find the movement a little slow, but I guess it would have impacted the mood a lot if your character was constantly sprinting around.
Atmospheric game. Memes with cats are really the best. Very cool!
Great game, I really love games with this kind of terrifying atmosphere, and mental health instability was a great use of the theme!
game had me spooked, but at least I got my cat meme and pictures <3 great job on the atmosphere! it's pretty dark but at least by the end of the day I have a smile on my face :)
Stunning presentation, the whole thing looked, felt, and sounded great! Really love the emphasis on limited ammo, though I would have liked something a simple visual aid for aiming (not necessarily a reticule, but something). Still, very very cool!
Really well made and polished submission! As a sound person I really love this infinite delay all the time... Really love to use such things in my productions lol. Great game, and story. Thanks!
Nice in-game atmosphere! The sound and graphic feels excellent. Great job. It was fun to try it out.
Great atmosphere, story, graphics, and music! But the gameplay wasn't on quite the level. The last floor was too big and lack of any events (a boss fight would be awesome). Enemies weren't any threat, also the shooting mechanic failed me, as half of my orbs didn't register hits. If you will make more engaging gameplay - the game would be top-notch! All the other elements are awesome!
The atmosphere is great, the color palette, the character design, the music used. Really all well unified, the idea is very good. great job! xD
