Downloads and Links - Not HTML5. Fix description plz
Tried to play in Linux but there's only an EXE in the zip file.
Nice little game! The graphics worked well for the game and everything was pretty clear. I liked the day and night cycle and the different environments. I also liked that you show how many enemies I killed at the end of a playthrough.
Here are some things that I think can be improved upon:
- There is no feedback when switching weapons. They all feel and look the same when using them so it feels a little pointless to switch them
- I was not able to figure when I should be hiding in pots and when I should be fighting. It would be good to communicate more clearly which enemies are too strong for you.
- I think the combat might feel a little better if you could attack while moving
Overall, great job!
Beautiful graphics. There were a few texture glitches here and there (like the bed showing up in front of the player), but still great. The gameplay is pretty good, but a bit too slow-paced for me. Also, noticed you save the progress of the game. This is a great feature, but I think you should also add an option to reset your progress. Also, I know since this is a game jam there isn't much time (and you opted-out of the category), but sound/music would have made this game much better. Still, a pretty fun game! Good job!
Thanks for the feedback! We added HTML Links in itch.io, and fixed some texture glitches.
As everyone is saying... The game has great graphics! Just noting that while on a smaller screen like the one on itch.io the UI from the top gets cut.
Love the graphics - the day/night cycle is very nice touch.
Overall I had fun, few bugs here and there but hey, it's game jam so all good.
Collecting the weapons and hiding in pots is really nice touch which adds depth to the game.
I liked the world we are in it feels alive. The most problematic part was the combat. It would be great to have a visual feedback while changing weapons. Also, the combat might have a block move and attack could be smoother.
Fun game! There's some problems with collisions sometimes and the combat can be really challenging due to its simplicity. Cute visuals though!
It's a very nice game ! Great job ! Nice graphics and nice gameplay. Some ennemy are quite difficult but it's playable.
Good game! The graphics are really nice and the soundtrack fits the "sneaking around at night" theme. The combat could be improved a little bit. Maybe being able to attack while moving would make the combat smoother.
Also noticed some graphic glitches close to the map boundaries: blood_lust_graphic_glitches.png
But still a nice game. Keep it up!
I thought I was lost, but them it came the day

Yes, the combat can be tough. And for me it took forever to find a victim, but once I killed someone there always was a guard around somehow :D Fun little game though
Nice game. Nice touch with the day/night cycle. Graphics looked good. Gameplay wise I liked the weapon switching. Hiding was a good idea in theory, but I didn't see a reason to do it.
Good job overall!
I think it's neat because you don't usually see a lot of the mechanics of this game in this format like hiding from enemies or general stealthy-ness. The map is a pretty decent size too. Good game!
Pretty good concept, i see it can improve a lot
This day/night cycle is really cool, well done.
Thank you everyone for your complements and feedback! We are deciding to use our Ludum dare project as a prototype and make Bloodlust into a full game with much more content. Your comments will really help steer us in the right direction for our next iteration. If you are interested in following the progression of the game I will post updates of our progression on my twitter page: https://twitter.com/Madness1184 and keep an eye out for the beta on that will be updated to itch.io
