Very funny... story. Charming graphics and fitting tunes. I appreciate the gradual increase in difficulty while teaching the mechanics.
If anything, I wish things could be dropped instead of replacing a slot.

Really enjoyed playing through the game!
The idea of a millennial, a wizard, a vampire, and a ghost meeting in a bar is hilarious right from the start. I really appreciated how the puzzle elements connected to the stories being shared between these wildly different groups.
The game looks great! I really love how you approached the jam's theme. It was completely unexpected and genuinely innovative! Summoning the giant octopus to ask it things like "My throat hurts" and getting "Get well" in response was hilarious for some reason hahaha. 😂 The whole game has such a quirky and charming sense of humor that really made me smile.

This one made me laugh out loud haha. Simple but fun puzzles! I wish there were a few more levels, I wanted to keep playing!
i laughed at the boiled egg (a life for that !!) and the voiced ooga booga dialogue haha great game , fun, stunning visually and audiolly, entertaining to be finished !!

The humor and art are absolutely charming. And then there’s the genre... I love puzzle games! I really liked how intuitive the puzzles are, and especially **how smoothly they progress**. I never got stuck in a way that felt frustrating, but the puzzles never felt repetitive either. There was always that feeling of discovering something new.
I also especially loved how you brought the **Old Tech theme** to life!

Making a blood sacrifice to look something up cracked me up, the ending too. That's wonderful.
There's... more levels??!! The Heist and Trapped are really good. I appreciate the main game being so straight-forward, but these extra levels really make An Old Joke for me

@sergueille-bismuth @alpalcalad I understand the sentiment, but as an avid puzzle game enjoyer, I designed the transmutation to be discovered as a part of the puzzle :) And if it not something you're into, most of the levels can be solved by just putting different things in the machine, and at some point you'll get what you need, ahaha
I will put the general ideas and recipes here, divided into several parts, as tips (should have probably done that sooner but oh well). There is an order to this madness, I swear! 😆
#1 General idea !> Red, blue, purple and green gems represent different elements. They can be arranged in a circle, which can be seen either on the grimoire, or the transmutation machine itself.
#2 The center piece !> The yellow one is neutral. Combining a yellow with an elemental gem transposes it to the opposite element, e.g. blue + yellow -> red + yellow.
#3 Reactions pt1 !> Combining two different elemental gems usually gives you two other elemental gems e.g. blue + green -> red + purple.
#4 Reactions pt2 !> The only exception to this is two opposite elements, which can produce two neutral gems. Two neutral gems produce two opposite elements in a similar fashion, making this circle of reactions complete. (red + blue -> yellow + yellow -> purple + green)
#5 The other ones !> The black and white gems change the elemental gems either clockwise or counter-clockwise. And yellow gem transposes those two between each other as well.
Cool game, great idea, and excellent execution! The font didn't support Russian, but I managed to beat it in English!
@turbolaser Thank you for the kind words! I setup the fallback fonts incorrectly, so they are (sometimes) not used when first starting the game. Switching the language in the menu back and forth fixed the problem when my friends streamed the game to me. In any case, the English fonts that are used fit characters better in our opinion :D
Спасибо) Я неправильно настроил запасные шрифты, поэтому они не всегда активируются при первом запуске. Если переключить язык туда-сюда в меню квадратики должны починиться. Точнее, чинились для друзей которые стримили мне свое прохождение) В любом случае, шрифты которые мы использовали в английской версии нам нравятся больше, лучше персонажам подходят :D
