Very joyful and cute, the puzzle was quite hard for me!
yeah i couldnt get past the 2nd screen, and it glitched a few times droping the orb and trying to pick it up again. also i dont know what to do with the orb? tried pressing every key i could, it wouldnt make me jump higher so i duno. then i tried moving back and forth to the other levels and i couldnt move forward at all. so i was stuck on the second screen and not able to get the first apple in the first screen.
Some really cool ideas here! Unfortunately, I experienced some bugs that I believe stopped progression, but the art and the mechanics were very compelling
Heads up, your game embedding is broken.
I love the mechanics of the game and unsurprisingly you nailed the audio visuals. I had a similar idea for "Layers" and would love a overall breakdown how you did it.
Not sure why but I got stuck pretty deep, in a room I entered from above. I guess I just couldn't reach the sweet spot to travel back? I think I also skipped an early level somehow - or brute forced my way in.
Great work!
Hey, I raided your stream on day one I guess, and the game already looked cool at that stage! :) The graphics and overall idea are spot on — love it!
I watched you work on part of this on stream  I think it's a thematic game and has very interesting and innovative puzzle mechanics, but I'm afraid a lot of it went over my head.
It's beautifully animated and that helps build understanding of how you move between the layers. I love how you could see your shadow in the layer beyond to determine the position. I didn't really understand what the colorful grass meant for and I think at times I glitched into a layer I wasn't supposed to be in. I ended up getting one of the special collectibles accidentally.
I think there's a ton here but it's a little too heady for me and I didn't finish. I needed a tutorial
Excellent puzzle game! Seems difficult and well-balanced. I was frustrated a few times by failing to change depth due to being a few pixels out of place, though.
That's such a great idea, wonderfully implemented with incredible animations and great sound design! Super impressive for a compo entry, hats off! I didn't get past layer three though, not sure if this was a bug or I was just to stupid to get the rules when I can change layers :D
Very cool game, this puzzle blew my mind
I think this was a very clever kind of 'open world' puzzle game, where traversing the world itself was the puzzle. It was pretty difficult to wrap my head around how to align the different layers in my head, which was a lot of fun. The art was also super pretty and together with the sounds and music this made a really fun cohesive game. In the beginning it was a bit hard to understand for me why I could not switch layers sometimes and what the orbs were for, but after some time I figured out that the two were related :)
Unfortunately I got stuck in a wall at some point, which made me lose all my progress, but these kinds of bugs are bound to happen with ludum dare games. Game design wise it would have helped me to see where the plants would grow after I discovered them. I think this would have helped the puzzley feel of trying to get to places. Now I often found myself retrying the orbs all over the place to remember where I could use them.
But all in all I think this was a really fun entry! And super impressive for a game made in only 48 hours.
very fun!
Had a small struggle with the mechanics initially, but once I figured it out, I realized how well thought out the design is. - I like that you drag orbs around to discover locations that enable an orb to work. - Having a visual indication of where the orbs are between depths with the flies is a great touch, in additoin to seeing the depth ahead. - I got 2 apples.
I may have softlocked myself when using the green orb to try getting the purple/white orb, where I can't return back to the previous depth properly. But from my time with it, the game is really good. I think it does a good job at encouraging the player to experiment and see what works and what doesn't.
I love it! I wasn't able to pick all the apples though. Anyway, I'll definitely be back to finish this puzzle with the cutest deer ^^
Fun, but challenging. At some point, the portals broke, and I was thrown back and forth in a strange way, but overall it was cool.
Very interesting and unique mechanic! The graphics, especially the character, are very cute! It is particularly cute when the character gets squashed while trying to traverse to an unavailable depth.
Got all of the apples!
Music was cute, too :-)
Good puzzle ga,e, really liked the idea. And the controls are very responsive. I collected 2 apples but I still don't seem to understand the mechanics of the orbs(
Nice puzzle game. Had a hard time figuring it out correctly. Really nice lot of play time. I got a bug where i pressed down and up to check whether or not i could go to another room and drop the orb. Then my orb got stuck on the last platform and i was on the first. So could only go between first and second layer.
