It looks really cute, the pixel graphics are nice! I have to admit, it was a bit confusing, and even though I looked at the controls I had a hard time figuring out exactly what to do. Gathering the resources by running into the wood was really satisfying though!
It's a neat concept having the NPCs following the cursor around in a train and using that to fight enemies. It was a bit grindy, since I spent a lot more time gathering than I did fighting. That could probably be fixed just by making things cheaper and giving units more health.
The 2-pixel-wide sprites were really cute.

very satisfying, incredibly charming and cute, awesome style. sound turned out really nice too. God i love running through clouds of trees with 15 guys and deforesting instantly
A very cool and satisfying idea for a 1 day, nice work!
I just absolutely love the concept. Really nice take on more gathering/rts kinda like game loop. My main feedbacks go on: 1. Esc takes me away from full screen and then Esc again closes the summoning menu. Maybe use other key, like Q? 2. The fullscreen displays differently (more) than windowed, probably some resizing settings on your engine. 3. Not being able to reorder my troops made it very hard to fight with efficiency, but otherwise the game feel is great.
Look cool
Wow I really love the artstyle of this game!
This is an incredibly complete experience for 1 day's work - it wasn't clear exactly what I was doing at first, but once I figured out the resource management and controls, it became really engaging - much moreso than I expected it to, honestly. Graphics were great for being so simple and stripped down, and the sound effects had a surprising amount of feel for being such uncomplicated bleeps and bloops. Very nice work!
Using the snake mechanic for an RTS strategy game is really cool and unique. It's fun to collect resources by making a snake out of units - I never knew that could be so interesting. The pixel art looks great in its simple style, and the 8-bit sound effects fit perfectly. You've made something special by combining these elements in a new way. Keep up the good work!

I enjoyed the art of this game and it felt satisfying to have the units collect the different resources. Having them run over the resources to collect felt interesting and also seemed like the logical choice especially when its known that you worked on this in a day! I was having trouble getting the fighting units to fight with each other, but it was fun to run in a quick circle around the enemies. It felt hypnotizing at some points watching as they converged!

The pixel art style is simple yet incredibly cute, and I found myself instantly drawn into the gameplay. The idea of controlling a "train" of NPCs following the cursor is unique and makes for a fun and satisfying experience. Running through trees and gathering resources was especially enjoyable! Although it took me a little while to get the hang of the controls, once I figured them out, the game became super engaging. The 2-pixel-wide sprites are adorable, and the sound design, with its minimalistic beeps and boops, really adds to the charm! There’s so much potential here, and I can’t believe it was created in just one day! Overall, fantastic work!

I really liked the graphics and game loop. It's too bad you didn't have the time to finish fleshing it out. Only feedback I can give is that it felt clunky being able to move the leader backwards, personally I think constant ramping up movement would have added a nice urgency that's needed. Overall I really liked what you were able to finish!
I love the farming mechanics, but the warriors look soo weak, i got 5 warriors and 1 farmer, i went to kill an npc, only one, and 3 of my warriors died to him and the farmer as well. so they are a bit too weak i think. The game is fun to play, good job
Just to pile on - same comments as everyone else (and you): sure, not balanced, but it's such a cool idea and clearly could be turned in to a full game. The simple interaction and faction building is genius!
Interesting concept. I would echo with most feedback. Also highlighting @holysparks 's first point. Remapping in-game interaction key from ESC would be my suggestion as well. It got kind of annoying when I was trying to figure out buying units.
Well done regardless, very nice and potential game!

Truly a miracle, shining example to new devs like us hehe. Jokes aside the game is incredibly satisfying, chop chop chop.
I must say you've achieved a lot for a single day. It's an interesting idea and I like how it feels, even though maybe it can be balanced a bit more. Good job!
The combat is a bit too hard, needs a tuning pass for balance.
The gathering is absolutely fantastic though. Getting a big train of gatherers going and just deforesting an entire area is so god damned satisfying. I think if there were larger clumps of rocks like we sometimes see with the trees the combat would be easier as it would be far simpler to replace large numbers of combat units.
Very unique central mechanic as well, with the train of units following the mouse cursor. Nicely implemented too, you always feel in control.
Love the graphics as well, really striking, effective art!

Very smooth gameplay, naturally moving about chopping stuff down and building my long snake army! The audio is really smart and the graphics lovely.
Really nice idea, great execution! My one issue was exiting the spawn menu minimises full screen.

thanks so much for the feedback and kind words, much appreciated everyone!!!
Fun game. Gathering is smooth and relaxing, and the soft sfx remind me a little bit of Stardew Valley. The tiny pixel art characters remind me a little bit of a great DOS game I used to know back in the day, Masters of Magic (1994). As some others have said, the time spent gathering seemed to outweigh the time spent fighting, so some balancing on the pricing for units might be a quick solution there. This was a lot to make in a day! Would love to see more levels/content from this. I feel like its charming visuals and relaxing/somewhat casual nature is the draw for me. Nice work!

It's a fun mechanic to have a bit of a play around with and the graphics are lovely. Great work for a single day!
This was super fun! Running around, having a trail of little sprites running after me, and plowing through the terrain. I did find if I went far enough to the right I hit a wall (which I assumed was the boundary), and I also if I didn't have enough resources to buy a harvester or warrior I had to press esc to get out and that would kick me from full screen. But really it seems like a solid game, even if the fighting was super hard. Still... lots of fun!

Cool game!
I would have wanted to have a little more feedback when the creatures get hit so I could calculate if it helps any to sacrifice gatherers or to run around the enemies or if you just should run past them in a row with as many warriors as possible.
After dying once after epmtying the resources and on second try gathering over 140 coins I thought it might be impossible to kill all the enemies.
I liked the concept alot though and if expanded, I could imagine myself playing this kind of game on mobile during bus trips etc.
Good job!
