A very pleasant Sokoban game

eklsn 2026-10-19 23:09 ♥ 1

hehe, love the mechanic. for some reason reminded me of Windows Vista's Inkball

thanatosisanoob 2026-10-19 23:12 ♥ 1

I enjoyed it. A solid game.

jeffrey-meyers 2026-10-19 23:14 ♥ 1

I enjoyed the first couple of levels, but I got stuck on the fourth. Not sure how I'm supposed to get past the wall of data block without getting one of them stuck against the back wall

dywanix 2026-10-19 23:35 ♥ 1

@jeffrey-meyers Level 4 is a bit tricky but possible to finish!

cptdrusha 2026-10-20 02:38 ♥ 1

The old Windows look fits it so well!

I like it ❤️

rekk1d 2026-10-20 04:45 ♥ 1

Never thought defragmenting a floppy could be a puzzle game, but it works so well. Love the art, and the gameplay is a lot of fun!

roma4ka 2026-10-20 10:55 ♥ 1

it's good, nice game

david0k 2026-10-20 11:02 ♥ 1

That's a very cool puzzle.I like it)

mcinnamoon 2026-10-20 11:06 ♥ 1

The retro vibe is just spot on. Everything is so simple, and that's exactly what makes it awesome and fully immersive! Typing into the terminal felt great. Also, I absolutely adore puzzles, so playing this was super cool — and it would be even cooler if I weren't completely stuck on level 4, please help haha! Thanks for making this!

welovegames 2026-10-20 11:53 ♥ 1

A great Sokoban game! I finished all 10 levels and really enjoyed it. The retro operating system setting and defragmentation concept fit the Old Tech theme perfectly. Nice work!

dywanix 2026-10-20 11:57 ♥ 1

@mcinnamoon level 4 is a bit difficult but absolutely possible to complete! PyX8Y7e.png

shlolo 2026-10-20 12:19 ♥ 1

Nice entry! The old windows theme works really well with this one. I also got stuck on level 4 though, even with your hint. I guess I'm too dumb for these kinds of games 😅

stanewolfer 2026-10-20 12:37 ♥ 1

nice puzzle game level 4 is really hard but i love the idea of exploring the computer to fix issues

zectalier 2026-10-20 12:46 ♥ 1

You lie, can't do level 4, please gib step by step guide. Jokes aside, the game fits the theme pretty well! The puzzle gameplay does feel done and redone tho, but it's still a nice little addition to the game jam. Good job!

mailsbert 2026-10-20 13:01 ♥ 1

HI, this game is very cool, a realy difficult starting from 4 lvl, i completed that lvl, but not 5((

mcinnamoon 2026-10-20 13:08 ♥ 1

@dywanix) Thanks a lot!

Just finished the game, had so much fun! Снимок экрана 2026-10-20 170716.png

Ya really nice puzzles love the addtition of code a game inside of a game!

technicalitycreations 2026-10-20 13:31 ♥ 1

Pretty solid game. Unfortunately, I got stuck on level 4

nursultan 2026-10-20 13:31 ♥ 1

Great job on this project! The visual style and audio fit together really nicely, creating an awesome vibe. Super impressive execution within the jam deadline! Left my ratings! Feel free to check out our cat bomb-crafting game when you have time. You can try the updated alternative version I put together (fixed mechanics + working PC): https://naiper.itch.io/meow-bomb-by-naiper

Would love to hear your thoughts!

koolruz 2026-10-20 13:45 ♥ 1

This was very fun! I love a good Sokoban, and the puzzle difficulty was just right. The room designs were great signposts for what areas to pay attention to as I tried to plan out my route, and I felt actively engaged in problem solving the entire time, rather than just going through the motions of inputting an obvious solution on a too-easy level, or trying random moves to brute-force my way through a too-difficult level.

My only feedback is that an undo button would have been hugely useful (there were several times when I accidentally slid the wrong block near the end of a puzzle and had to start over), but the puzzles were short enough that it never felt *too* punishing to restart from a mistake.

The only other feedback I have is more of a meta comment about the game page; it currently feels very AI-generated, and that almost made me skip the game (but I'm very glad that I didn't!). You might want to give the description another edit now that the jam is over and there's no time crunch :)

Overall, well done!

bjoernm 2026-10-20 15:56 ♥ 1

Nice puzzles, took a while for me to get through level 4. As other people mentioned before an undo button would be cool, maybe like one undo per level.

ao-85 2026-10-20 15:57 ♥ 1

Awesome, your game is magnificent! I had a blast playing it, really cool stuff

intich 2026-10-20 16:07 ♥ 1

Cool computer simulator, LIKE!)

dazylude 2026-10-20 17:10 ♥ 1

Mmm, yes, another sokoban for my collection. Some creative puzzles towards the end and a good difficulty curve! Good job!

crotonyl-alcohol 2026-10-20 17:16 ♥ 1

Huge fan of sokoban games. Not sure if it's a bug-in level 9, I pushed the bottom box down and it appeared on the left up corner.

Also, there being few levels regarding your own design, I actually almost wanted to quit the game cause it felt like a copy of the original. Currently the levels are simple, I look forward to see more challenging levels.

BTW, lack of revert function make playing the game frustrating.

imod 2026-10-20 17:24 ♥ 1

Nice sokoban game! I like that main menu is like command line.

coderaurus 2026-10-20 18:31 ♥ 1

Nice sokoban game. Got me thinking! Aesthetic is old school and I wonder if you could've leaned more into the defragmentation or console side. Not sure how.

Good job!

tykki19 2026-10-20 19:18 ♥ 1

Game good, me bad. Good use of theme and well done puzzles. Extra points from use of on command line!

arfenalis 2026-10-20 21:02 ♥ 1

Simple but solid game. Great job!

david-fiattarone 2026-10-20 22:56 ♥ 1

Reminds me of that old chip game from the 90's, great job!

silas-reinagel 2026-10-21 01:30 ♥ 1

Crisp. Clean. Tight levels.

I loved this. This is my jam!

Any plans on evolving this, or adding some more unique mechanics?

neolog 2026-10-21 04:51 ♥ 1

Pretty good classic sokoban. I do wish you spent a little more time on the new elements you introduce rather than base sokoban, and I really miss having an undo, but overall good job!

emrod 2026-10-21 17:28 ♥ 1

I'm glad that I don't need to defragment my disk anymore! It was a fun jam with a good concept. I liked the data-split mechanic! congrats!

remink 2026-10-21 20:41 ♥ 1

Great sokoban game, simple but effective ! I liked the menu in the terminal, this feels unique !

nikiroz 2026-10-22 09:00 ♥ 1

Fun little Sokoban game!

scrapmetal 2026-10-22 13:07 ♥ 1

Nice!!! It's cool that it saves your current level too. But I got stuck on Level 4. 😑 😝

Love using the cmd prompt to navigate.

scrapmetal 2026-10-22 13:08 ♥ 1

@dywanix I don't know how you did that 😳

perrarancino 2026-10-22 14:15 ♥ 1

defragmenting a floppy as a sokoban puzzle is such a clean idea, and the old windows look sells it perfectly. the levels seem to escalate quickly - someone got stuck on the fourth one with a wall of data blocks, which sounds like the exact moment the game clicks or breaks you. still, it's a very pleasant little puzzle game. did you tune the levels by hand or generate them and pick the good ones?

evil23 2026-10-22 19:56 ♥ 1

DISC_3 took me way too long haha. Needs more levels!

rend 2026-10-23 08:18 ♥ 1

Really cool twist on the Sokoban concept. I like the new mechanic you introduce at level 8 (Disc_07) but those never really get hard; for me Disc_06 was the toughest. Solid entry!

shanzpro 2026-10-25 04:59 ♥ 0

It was good but I think it would benefit from more levels and a slower increase of difficulty!

captandrey 2026-10-25 13:54 ♥ 0

Good game! Nice level size and difficulty curve. I guess the "finish" text appears a little earlier than it should, but it helped me since i knew it is the last boss)

pan-pan 2026-10-25 15:32 ♥ 1

A really interesting and challenging game! 🤯 I love the idea of using a terminal to interact with the game. It fits the old-school computer theme so well and makes the whole experience feel unique. The mix of classic Sokoban puzzles and a vintage operating system is such a creative idea. It definitely makes you stop and think! Great job! 💾❤️
