It's is nice piece of game, rythm games are always cool. Everything here is okey, but "Theme" part is forced here. Nothing wrong with it, but this game would probably work much better if keys wouldn't be arranged in circles.
Anyway, good job my fella!
I love rhythm games and this one is no exception. Everything about it so pleasant, even the dizzy feeling I get afterward. :stuck_out_tongue: I got 194/197 on the easy song but I won't tell you how badly I did on the harder ones, haha. I love the color palette and the little particle effect when you hit a note just right.
Rythm games are not my thing, but I liked the relaxing music/atmosphere.
Is it an impression of mine or the "beats" of the music are not in sync with the buttons to press?
@simone thanks for the feedback, do you know which song gave you the delay. or was it all of them? i may be able to fix it before time is up.
@ruthiepee thank you. i never considered motion sickness. I should probably put a warning for epilepsy with the shaking of the screen though haha.
@bukkaketears @gevernus thanks for the critical feedback guys!
Aaaaaawwwwwww yeeeeee I love it when people do rhythm games for LD!
I love the aesthetic of this one. It has a lot more visual flare than a lot of jam games!
I had a big of an issue with sync every now and then, though...Are you guys keeping time with dspTime?
Nice job overall! I'm a huge fan of DDR so this one really clicked with me.
Music is fire! We brainstormed a rythm game too, cool to see one made! Hard level is hard!
This game was so much fun, I used to love playing Guitar Hero and the circular flow of the arrows makes it so iconic. I also really appreciate the satisfying particle effects for hitting the keys and missing. The harder and hardest options are a bit too hard for me, but I had fun!
having different speeds on each ring made the game a bit hard to read at first, but once used to it it was a really rewarding experience ! I liked the pastel color palette and had fun playing (and I have a soft stop for rythm game)
Great game! For me it was a bit hard to read the incoming keys as they had different speeds and there was no logical mapping from circle to key. I think it would have been better if you had the place to hit the keys on the left instead, when the visual order of the rings matches the keys? I had issues hitting the "double notes" on the medium difficulty song, often one of the three would not register.
Love the idea to make circular tracks (like a record is circular). It's really awesome how after you play for a while, you start to recognize patterns on the different tracks and can get a better feel for timing them.
Awesome game! The circular rings reminded me of how a player piano or music box arrange notes in a roll or cylinder to play them back.
I liked your game my congratulations, I also did one if you want to know, and give me your feedback I am very grateful, this is the link https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/resurrection
I'm so bad at this game  But that's okay because it's a really well-made game and ties into the theme well. Music was great. Good job!
pretty neat game, had fun with it and it felt relaxing
Your take on rythm games is super interesting! I played a couple rythm / dance games but I never did one where notes were looping at different speeds. It adds some interesting challenge to the classic formula, I really liked that! Adding different difficulties is obviously super important in this kind of game and you nailed it. Very nice entry! Congrats
Nice rythm game! I only played the easiest one and tried the hardest, but it indeed was bit too hard for me. The beats were great and hitting those notes(arrows) feels satisfying. I had some trouble timing my presses because of the circular movement, but I really don't mind it as getting the gist of it is part of these games. I felt the progress bar of the song could be slightly more noticeable.
I wonder how it would've affected the gameplay if the pressing zones were horizontal instead of vertical.
The circular track was a cool take on the theme. Nice job!
I played so many hours to DDR. I really appreciate your game ! I was good to DDR, but you game is HARD ! haha.
I love your songs
This is a really nice rythm game. The theme is integrated okay, altough the arrangement of the keys to the specific rings is a bit weird. The songs are great, but they do get pretty repetetive - at some point I thought it would go on forever until I failed. The screenshake and the crazy amount of particles are a bit too distracting, but it's not that bad. Overall a good jam game. Nice job!
P.S. When i spam the notes i sometimes miss quite a bit of them. If that's a feature I don't think it's a good one. The player should be able to do anything they want and instead get punished by - maybe a super low score or a health system like in Osu!.
Really cute game!! I like the circular track because it fits with the theme, but it was kind of confusing at first because the arrows moved at different speeds on each ring. Also love the screen shake!
