I've stuck in this spot. Can't move
Graphics are amazing. Car driving feels very good. Suntime is frustrating a lot, it seems like I can move but actually it's still sun time. I think this cycle can be a little bit shorter than 10 seconds.
@prologi haha! Probably my bad on the placing of the modelling (ProBuilder is not very keen to mesh collisions sometimes)
I also believe the Pause was not working properly, but refreshing the page (html) or just restarting should be fine. This was actually frustrating for me with the pausing menu. Thanks for playing! Although I see we cannot give ratings yet, I'll wait until tomorrow to check again :)

Love the art style and the vehicle controls really well. Good work!
Solid vehicle controls and nice visuals. Struggled to find safe spots at first but then I realised the markers to lead you. Main issue for me is that when you die in the flare its still going when you respawn, would be nice to be able to get going again as soon as you respawn. Otherwise a really good entry :)
This game is pretty cool! Visually and aesthetically, this game is very appealing! I really like the intense light-up from the solar flare and made the vibes very nice! Controls felt nice (despite tank controls :P) and the settings was very nice. Sometimes I would get stuck on top of the rocks but still be considered safe from the solar flare haha
Only issues I had were I wish the solar flare didn't last nearly as long as it should have, thus giving more down time. A good 2-4 seconds of waiting would be nice so it wouldn't make each stop feel eternal.
Otherwise very good game! Nice job!

@drunkardwolf Thanks for the feedback! By the 'keep going' you mean keep the pickups count or reset everything? Currently, the game just resets everything. The solar flares are tied to a timer, so nothing bad happens if they're still in motion while you respawn. I was thinking of using `solar flare levels` but ditched the idea in the end :)
@mikoziq I just mean that currently when you respawn, the flare is still active, so you have to wait a few seconds until it goes away before you can leave the starting safe area. Would have been nice if when you die the flare turns off so that you can leave the area as soon as your respawn rather than waiting. Its a super minor gripe though, probably just me being inpatient :)
@drunkardwolf Ah yes, that sounds indeed like a thing to fix then I believe :smile: It's an easy fix but I will leave it though as to stay per rules :)
@naemis Thanks for playing! I first wanted to make a flare last a bit shorter (around 5 seconds), but just went with keeping it at 10:10 ratio. Should have gone with a gut feeling :D
The visuals are amazing, you did a really good job in this, the glow,the small particles and all of this small details add so much to your game, I'v had a great Time playing this one ! My main issue are the duration of the flare, it's a little bit too long, I don't like waiting, I've died too much because I wanted to go as fast as possible :D Nice game !
I really like the visual effects and how it brings everything together, nice game!
The gameplay feels great and the fx is stunning. Great work on making it feel super bright. The joy was when I realized that I could hide in the shadows and not just seek shelter in a garage. Perfekt. Thanks for making this game.

Great compo submission as always. It's not that clear without reading the text. But overall great job.
The solar flare is nice as mechanic but kinda brutal. solid visuals and nice car control
Man, you have to play super optimally. Such a tight time window and very unforgiving. Feels like you need to know exactly where you're going before you leave or you'll die for sure. Also, you can't see where the shadows are at night, so you don't know where you'll be safe during the day. Really wanted to give this game a try, but I died so often and the fact that the solar flare lasts for 10 seconds made it slow to try again after losing.
Superb control and feel of the vehicle. Very nice visuals. CONS: Pretty hard 10 secs to get to a saving point, and too much waiting once reached.

I really appreciated your spin on the theme. The vehicle was fun to drive and the game was very enjoyable to play, although it was quite difficult at times. The visuals were superb, I like how blow out the whole screen gets when the solar flare is active.

Thanks for playing guys! I really appreciate all the feedback, which I would like to actually address.
I realized that there is indeed lighting bug that indeed makes the shadows not visible after solar flare sometime. Because of that, some of you would have hard time getting from one post to another.
The reason of the shadows bug is actually concering the gameplay as you can hide in any shadow that seems bigger than the ATV, which is around 20+ places on the map, not mentioning bases and pickup points. I have tried making it so you can safely traverse between points using around 5-7 seconds. Yet, I totally understand the concern and the fact that people may have been discouraged by the difficulty and the flare rotation span.
May I ask, have any of you actually finished? It took me around 5-6 minutes to go through playing safely, but I know it can be done within 4 minutes as well (Almost made it within 300 seconds but got blasted on my way back)

Wow! Impressed by your submission, really nice game! Kind of hard to control the "spacecar" but there is a feeling with its physics response and it's what i look for in game i like. The "engine" could help you build a fantastic game, i would love to play a longer and with audio version of your game! Congratulations.
@cooz Thanks for the feedback! I usually don't stick for too long with LD projects, but this one is giving me a vibe to at least finish the audio part :) Yet, if it was a narrative experience then maybe it would actually be a good one indeed!
Controls and visuals are awesome, had you implemented sound it would have an even greater mood. I wish life depleted slower so we had a higher "grace period" to hide before dying. Great game anyway, congratulations!
One of the top notch interpretation of the theme! This game definitely re-awakened the fear of light I've developed when playing V Rising!

Cool rover game. The representation looks good and the theme is implemented well into game. Controlling the vehicle feels good, but I would prefer if the initial acceleration would be quicker. Now the flare comes pretty quickly and you don't get to enjoy the ride that much.
Same effect with the duration of the flare, kind of kills the momentum. I think it could be more fun if the flare doesn't insta kill you as fast as it does now, but instead gives a chance to have a close call and _almost_ turn you into ashes.
The HUD is clear and legible, appreciate the color coding. A restart would have been nice, though. Got myself stuck in few ways :D

I really like the idea of the sun flares every 10 seconds. But they really don't have to be 10 seconds long. But aside from that great game :)
Cool game, the simple aesthetic looks really neat. Controlling the ATV is pretty tricky, and I the physics did jank out a bit and send me bouncing. It was fun, though!
I think having the solar flares be 10 seconds long makes the game feel slower than it actually is, maybe having them slightly shorter would make it flow better.

This game requires a lot of patience :D But the visuals are great, the steering feels nice and overall it's quite a solid submission.
this game looks absolutely amazing, and the controls are really fun! I did a few flips with my little tank haha. As some people have said, the 10 second long flares are oppressively boring, but the 10 seconds to run around between them is much more high octane fun!
Pretty cool prototype! great graphics and mechanics, I really liked, nice feedbacks, only needs some sounds and more development and can be a funny game, also the glow is a little hard but awesome work!
