Disorienting but very visually compelling. Reminds me of the Beethoven's 5th sequence from Fantasia 2000. I *think* I understood the mechanics after a while, but it also seems like not knowing what's going on at first is part of the intended experience?

Got a highscore of 40. I've no idea if that's good or not because it was somewhat hard to control the unstable pilot :) I like the audio feedback and visuals.

gdman 2021-10-07 09:14

I've got to 43 and then was overrun by fast flying enemy. Very pleasant glow effect. Hard, but smooth and understandable controls. Have you tried exporting to HTML5? 441Untitled.png

I've managed to get over 80! Fun game, although for me sounds and visuals were too much, they became little unpleasant to look at and to hear them after a long play >,<

Great job with the game feel along with the audio and visual feedback! I would highly recommend warning players who have epilepsy and sensitivity to flashing. I like how the ship swings wildly back and forth if the player tries to turn too fast.

A bit strange at first, but pretty fun once I got used to it :) I like the art style!

Good job!

Got over 80 easily, as found how to effectively control the vessel.

I must notice the jarring sound when bullet hits - please manage some more pleasant sound for main actions in your next games :)

Considering your time limitations, the game is fine, has nice visuals and solid concept.

Pretty cool game. My only complaint will be the sound effect of hitting the target. I got curious on: is there a way to lose, or you can go forever. The answer is you can't go forever. Sooner or later player will get overrun. Here is my top score: 733

The game is fun but... the sound effects, music and lights disorient me too much to play longer than two minutes.

ribout-horace 2021-10-10 21:04

The game is too agressif...

But it is really sweet , the color palette plus the bloom work really well (just the flashing effect are too much, could have been made smoother to not hit that hard and disctract that much) and the audio could have been so much cooler with the color and all... But I ask too much for a game jam game, that's already a lot made !

Good audio ambient and interesting idea

zuhairghias 2021-10-12 00:16

Nice work! Had fun watching your stream!

lancescaterpie 2021-10-12 01:27

Great visuals. Only thing is you need to be careful with the hit sound effect which sounds very "sad". It makes me feel like I should be avoiding shooting the shapes instead of doing the opposite.

rustbaron 2021-10-12 05:10

I love the look of the game, although for gameplay purposes it's a little too disorientating as there's not enough distinction between background and foreground shapes. The audio for destroying for landing a shot and dying is also too abrasive compared to the background music. Certainly potential for to be polished into something really nice though.

Fun game, but SFXs are a bit annoying :p My highscore is 97

kumber 2021-10-12 21:52

The game shows great potential. The sound was a little jarring and I had to mute the audio to play, but, overall, congrats on finishing a game! Keep up the good work.

charliemrl 2021-10-14 11:48

I find the shooting mechanic hard to handle, I think it's always shooting towards the character who will aim at the mouse cursor but as it's always rotating on itself with the inertia, it's kinda hard to aim precisely. I also think that the visuals are a bit too agressive, the effect when you hit an enemy is really confusing, it made me loose the character from my sight too often... Otherwise I liked the character inertia, I would have loved to navigate in a bigger space.

crefossus 2021-10-16 00:09

Music is great and I liked the visual excitement and colors that matched the mood. I wish the same attention was placed in the sfx. I get that the pilot is supposed to be unstable but it's not too fun to control. It kinda suffers from the same issue as https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/49/b-a-in-animal-psychology this one, except the 2nd level in that one is fun to control.

foxtrot-roger 2021-10-16 08:25

Really reminds me of the game asteroids, I like the colors and the music but it is quite disorientating, I feel like the player could be more visible because I had a hard time following where I was while shooting.

vidim888 2021-10-16 13:51

Great combination of control and lack of control! The hitting sound is super annoying, made me turn off the sound even though the music is good.

wafflesys 2021-10-16 16:53

Nice game. Visual effects are nice. Only downside is the sound effect when hitting a target.

jin9310 2021-10-18 08:06

Very inovative approach to the theme and as a Asteroids lover, I can feel some similar vibe although the sounds were bit too sharp to my ears, and I think if you'd adjust the sounds and music overall to less repetitive feel and not that sharp, It would be way better experience, at least for me. But nevertheless, great job done!

coderaurus 2021-10-18 15:24

Nice game. Interesting yet simple gameplay. For me the sounds were too loud and color bit too flashy. Would be cool if there was an option to adjust them.

fabula-rasa 2021-10-20 15:44

Graphically, the game is too flashy for my taste. The colors are very intense and the additional constant flashing on hit makes the eyes tired after a while. Some softer colors and less flash would serve the game well. The "on hit" sound is not the best, in my opinion. It sounds more like an error and made me think I'm doing something wrong when I first started playing

It would be nice if you'd present the player with a score at the end of the playthrough, instead of just restarting right away.

I liked the general idea here and the mechanics of breaking up the triangles while not being in full control of your movement. And it plays well. Great job on that!
