Very relax game. Also, good hook with 4 endings - it made me go through the game a few times)
Very chill game! Ran out of ingredients at some point though, not sure if I messed anything up. The dialog in the beginning really sounds like a bunch of pesky mosquitoes xD
Having a challenge mode where you need to remember the recipes would be nice though!
Having a 'back' button in the recipe book would be nice, I flipped through the pages too fast and missed the recipe. Having to go through all recipes again was a bit annoying. Otherwise, good game, the different voice/text sound pitches were a nice touch.
I started trying to make people the wrong potion to see if there would be any effect. I don't think there was, at least with the changes I tried (like hallucinations instead of insight), but doing that may have caused the game to soft lock. I can't pull any more ingredients off the shelf for the quest to make the Potion of Somnia for the little boy.
And yeah, I wish there was a way to replenish ingredients somehow. Maybe like how those shop sim games you buy ingredients at the end of the day with the money you made, or people give you more ingredients as you make them their potions. Obviously a bit of a stretch for a compo game, but just a thought.
Nice entry. I'm not sure if I was softlocked by a bug or if I made a mistake and didn't notice.
Nice chill game. Some VA-11 Hall-A vibes. I appreciate your effort in writing the dialogues and I enjoyed reading them. Well done!
Good vibes
nice game, I enjoyed reading the dialogues!
Nice!
Interesting idea mixing potions with story elements regarding their effects. Sometimes i thought i got the potion right, but got an error sound and impossible potion requests in the end.
Liked the atmosphere and the really nice characterization of the people buying potions. Good work!
Very cool idea, and excellent execution considering the dev time. Great job!
Really nice and cozy game! The dialog sounds were annoying a bit but other than that I enjoyed it!
Cool game concept, but I think the dialogue could be a bit faster
@tenzz Feel free to left click to skip through the animation of the dialogue! :)
It's an interesting game, but it seems to me that setting up the sound would be very useful, because I was a little deaf when I went in.
Good game, I think the gameplay gets a bit repetitive after a while, but I enjoy the game. Nice job participating in the Compo.
Some minor issues:
* speech audio was too loud for me * at some point I got stuck and could only click on the book, not ingredients
Good job finishing. Pretty relaxing game.
I liked the dungeon atmosphere and the overall game concept. Great submission!
Some suggestions, don't use particle effects with pixel art like dust it mixes styles. Also different pixel art scales are mixed into the game as well avoid those. Prepare all your assets for a specific narrow resolution like 320x180 and draw respect to that canvas size. Text audio is not fun but annoying. Story has a narrative but it is classic. Add some more soul personal drama and interpersonal conflicts into it.
the ability to skip dialogue is a small but excellent touch! I really like the art and music, it really complements the game design well. My feedback is the design of constantly having to check the recipe book is a little repetitive, maybe some way to "learn"/unlock recipes over time would help, so it gives the player time to memorize recipes over time instead of everything all at once to try and learn.
It's a cute gameplay game. But the sound of the font torments my ears.
I got stuck and wasn't able to pull stuff off the shelf after the first bad recipe
Cool concept though, can see a lot of work went into making the recipe book!
Great job for a first game!

I like the theme of the game! Also, the graphics <333 the sounds was a little bit annoying
I had the same problem as @johnnysix where I got stuck and couldn't finish, but restarting solved the issue. This game was really fun to play and had a great sense of humor! You clearly put a lot of thought into the customers and the recipe book. Nice job!
Nice game. I didn't expect the order of items to matter but after failing few times I caught up with the gist. I liked the different stories the customers were telling.
I think the main font was kind of hard to read. Gray on gray with a small white outline just doesn't do it. I had to fullscreen the game in order to see. I would probably make the font totally white instead or black, whichever feels better and has good contrast.
The speech sounds were very loud, I would tone them down or provide audio settings for players.
Nice job.
