I see top down shooter, i say yes ! Pretty fun concept, feels like a roguelike where you can go in the wrong way, just yes, had pretty fun time.

Somehow, i have things : - Couldn't figure how the hint works, is it UI related, is it the arrow ? - Sometimes arrow appears, sometimes it's already there, pointing on bad direction, i don't know, that confuse me - Enemies are hell of easy, I went to 1-5, i don't know if they change later but yeah, could work around to get some of them threw projectile to spice things up - Last thing is a bug, when you're close to a wall, bullet disapear in the wall when shooting

Had fun tho

@vollfeiw thx for your feedback. The Arrow appears when you collect the hint item. The hint item is only available for around 3 seconds when you are enter the room.

So the arrow should point you in the direction where you move forward.

I'll check the bug too :)

I liked the game overal. It was enjoyable and fun to play. To me I didn't really feel the loop though. The rooms are a bit too similar even when I didn't take the right exit because I missed the hint. Making rooms too visually different is hard in such a short time though (I struggled with a similar thing myself) and you did put numbers. Other than that I think the game was really good.

@cosmicpickle thank you - yeah i know what you mean. I think it is a little bit abstract with the theme at the end to feel the loop lol :) I had different Ideas (like a Rewind Mechanic but dropped that as i am not sure if this properly).

Enjoyable shooter! The collecting sound remind me of Zelda games. It was challenging enough. I think the game reset at one point, but I'm not sure why?

Also noticed one blob chasing me through a wall (from top to bottom).

Good game.

Nice shooter! Top down execution was nice! I too had trouble with the letter finding.. but game has enough juice that it was still enjoyable to repeat lol

Nice game! I like it :smile: .. pretty good mood with the music and the nice pixle graphics - great concept :smile:

BTW did you recognize that when she's holding the weapon to the left side - the top-side of the weapon is facing downwards?

This was so fun to play! I ended up spending more time with it than I planned. The mechanic with the slimes vs. hints was super effective, it's a really great play on the instinct I think so many people familiar with games like this one have to clear passages. The graphics worked super well - there was a tiny pause when the music looped, but it didn't really effect my playthrough at all. Thanks for sharing it!

Loved the artstyle and design overall! Collisions are kinda clunky, and you can easily die by walking to another room and instantly running into nearest enemy. Anyway, good job!

Fun game although I am exceptionally bad at it (this is my fault though not the games). The art was also nice looking.

Really fun game. I did notice some bugs with the AI where sometimes they would follow me and clip through walls and sometimes they would just stand there seemingly broken. Also sometimes picking up the hint would play the sound but do nothing or when it did work it would play the collect sound twice.

Gamecontrols, mood and audio feals really neat! Great job! One improvement could be more interesting enemies. Other then that there is a small bug where you get resetet when you enter a room and immediately. Nice work overall =)

I love games like this, action roguelikes are always so fun, and this game is good as others. Good concept, controls, sound, graphics. Pretty neat work!

Was pretty fun, getting the paper in the last level was really hard(even if it wasn't necessary) I ran into some weird glitches where I would go in the correct door and end up back in level 1-1. For example I'd go from 1-1 to 1-2 through the upper door, and then go into the right door like the note says, but I'd end up in 1-1 again. Are the doors randomized or something? Anyway nice job

@snowdrama thank you - this not really random but if you use the same door in 1-1 as in 1-2 it could lead somewhere else (so there are doors lead you back to 1-1 etc.).

@snowdrama aah now i got what you mean. Thank you for making the videos and that you took the time to record this. It was hard to see what the bug is now i got it. I am just wondering why this happens as they shouldnt shift the position (and its just a unity tilemap with many doors and teleporting positions). I try to fix this :) thank you.

btw.: i enjoyed your keynote :D

Played all the way to the end. Nice loop, I got the basic concept quickly. My main critique would be regarding sound design, I feel like the SFX were a bit to "violent" or "distorted" and quite loud compared to the music. Still had a fun time playing the different rooms though !

Sound effects were very loud compared to the music. Nice graphics, and interesting mechanic. Ran into some bugs where I'd sometimes get teleported back to the start point of a level for seemingly no reason.

i found me basically rushing to the note, getting killed if i missed it and then killing the enemies and leaving through the correct door. Not sure thats exactly the intended gameplay?
