Neat game! I liked the interpretation of the theme. Player controls felt great too. Nice work!
Cool! Theme was on point! Love the characters and the overall vibe of the game.
Very fun game, and a lot of levels!!! I like the amplitude of mechanics, some more enjoyable than other I must say. Hovering was very fun. Camera or screen transitions need some work. I landed on enemies when transitioning between screens more than once during my gameplay. Overall fun to play! Nice job.
Fun mechanic, especially once it started swapping the ability instead of terrain, that was really fun!
The art was cute and I appreciated the checkpoints. One thing I noticed is that killed enemies stayed dead after going back to a checkpoint.
Well done!!!
Player controls felt really good.
Really engaging, and quite a challenge at times. Awesome use of theme!
Trying to catch the last diamond really felt like it was stretching the game mechanics to its limits. Which was pretty neat :) I also enjoyed the humor :P (very fun landing page, haha)
A funny game ! Love the aspect of the chicken :D
The switching mechanic reminds me of those certain NSMB levels, really like this - the character design is so good too. I'll admit I gave up on the hover/double jump bit, couldn't figure out how to hover - I might be missing something though.
Really love the humour but the platform was a bit lose the fight was really clunky and the switching bloc really need to be indicated. The art style was pretty neat and the mechanics opened choice to platform. It's a solid entry
The mechanics were pretty cool didn't know how to hover there for a second. Nice Game :)
The platform switching was so creative! I like a good platformer. Overall really fun! The art was very well done
Nice work, a cool little game you got here!
Fun game, fit the theme well. I liked the way you did the platforms.
I like the protagonist design and animations, the game also has some interesting mechanics. Good job.
Good mechanic with the tile switching. A little bit annoying how you have to wait 10s sometimes if you fail something and have to try again. I couldn't get past the double jump level. It seemed like the double jump didn't trigger some times and I wasn't quite sure what I was doing wrong. The characters art and animations are super nice! Chicken dialogs were quite cute too :D
@nyxkn Sorry about that double jump bug. I couldn't exactly figure out what was causing it but as I designed the double jump level, I ran into it quite a bit. It has something to do with detecting whether you were on the ground or not and just after you land it thinks you are in the air for a frame and consumes your double jump. If you wait a second after landing it usually works.
Cool idea, i really like this
Really impressive gameplay!!! I really liked this game. Only one thing got in my way: The cam between scenes has a delay, so in one level i died because this. But its not a great bug, only one thing to polish and make the gameplay more fun! Great Job guys!!! relly fun game!
Cool game, good level of difficulty for each of the mechanics. Thought the hover was bugged or I was doing something wrong for a while because I missed that it swapped with the day/night cycle and completely missed the big text at the top telling me which was active! Woops!
The attack hit box felt a little off sometimes, but other than that was great! Solid game!
I had fun, and really liked the main mecanic, a really good idea for the theme ! Nice job !
The best platformer I've played from this year's LD!
Cool idea for the game and fits the theme well. I didn't the instakill enemy traps but luckily you are not forced to restart the whole level.
Really cleverly put together. I loved how the mechanics switched up for each level. Two gripes: one, the switch blocks really should have reset the timer as well, and two, the hover ability would've been more intuitive if it was keyed to double-jump instead of being a separate button.
The level design was the strongest part here, I think. One thing I noticed was that in the second level, it would give you two different paths to take, each designed for a different part of the cycle so that you wouldn't have to wait ten seconds for time to line back up. And the last level made excellent use of the double-jump and hover mechanics! Controls were pretty good as well, except for the attack. Though I didn't have to use it too much, so no big deal. Great work!
The controls felt really good for platformer. Pretty incredible to do all that level design in such a short time! I was a little confused with how the switches didn't reset the timer, but got used to it after a bit.
Good ideas in this platformer, well done!
Nice stuff, I really liked having to switch between hover and double-jump between day and night to solve the final puzzles.
Nice game. Is fun to play. Good level design. Doing all this in a game jam is really amazing!
Nice mechanic! A very nice old school platform game. I enjoyed how the mechanic changes each level to keep it interesting. Bawk!
cute game! cute graphics and solid controls. The ability to change the day/night cycle was fun too!
Cool game. The game looks good and plays well. Nice work.
For a youtube series I ran I rated games on youtube shorts and this happened to be one of them. If you would like to see my feedback I thought I would give you the link to check it out. https://youtube.com/shorts/jSMip1kNh7M?feature=share
@caveman54 Wow! We didn't see this comment right away cause we generally don't check LD once the final scores are posted. Taking the time to do a video review is pretty huge. Thanks for the feedback!
