Obviously it's pretty short, but the foundation's pretty good and the sprites look nice. If you're planning to add more content I would add some time pressure to the puzzles, otherwise I don't think the 10 second interval adds much versus being able to just manually switch between characters.
@dreamscale Totally agree - I think using the time as friction is a great way to expand on this. Thanks for taking the time to try it out!

Game was very short and had a lot of potential! Aesthetics-wise, the game was very pretty and you added a lot of visuals that made the game very engaging for me. Music was short, simple, fine and there were no sfx.
If anything, I wish there was more content--I can see you sacrificed some of the time you used to make artwork assets which I'm super grateful for--but since this IS a game jam, I wish I could've seen more of the gameplay itself. It's honestly a fine balance, but nonetheless you did a good job for your first time using Godot!
Good work!

Definitely has the foundation of something good. I liked how the music + visual transition between the characters lined up.
Really like the tilesets, them and the lighting really set the tone well. I think some sort of visual indicator of how long between each switch between characters would have been nice. The split screen effect is what really sells it tho, I think having each character on their own screen makes this feel way more polished.

A great proof of concept - the pixel art looked great, and I thought the lighting was excellently done :)

Lovely aesthetic. What you've got seems like a good polished foundation :)

Sadly very short, I wanted more by the end, because I liked it obvi. The art is solid but the 10 seconds were not an obstacle for me. Good job !

Finally! The first game I though, all right, now I can finally play something real good and then it ends after 2 mins :D shit. So far the best for me. Great entry, not to mention your first game in an engine!
Awesome entry, keep it up and I can't wait for the next part :)

Short but beautiful, maybe a bit more fade before going from one character to another.

My friend, this game is absolutely gorgeous! The art is super nice and the overall atmosphere really beautiful. A shame it's so short. Maybe the music feels a little out of place, as the visuals suggest something rather more mysterious. Very pretty and polished entry.
Very good! I liked the graphic style and the sound effect. I hope you continue to develop it's amazing!
I enjoyed playing it. The changing perspectives was a bit hard to predict, but I feel that was a big part of the fun of the game. I'd really enjoy playing a larger version of this game. I especially think it would be super fun to make a "couch co-op" version of this game, where each player swaps between the two characters. It could create some really exciting moments where the players need to context switch a lot. However that could also get mentally exhausting for long periods of time so maybe ensuring short play sessions is the way to go.
I'm glad you got this working! It's a nice proof of concept with a lot of potential.
I like the split screen aspect. One suggestion is I'd have some sort of indicator that the character's about to change, like a screen shake or something. Overall though, very cool game.
Game is pretty short but it conveys the gameplay potential and the concept really well, as well as the potential for the visuals and audio. It's a thin but well-executed vertical slice and a nice take on the whole "2 player characters" puzzle genre. Really cool job!
I see "Failed to read the 'serviceWorker' property from 'Navigator': Service worker is disabled because the context is sandboxed and lacks the 'allow-same-origin' flag." in the web version, will try the desktop later on
Tried to play via browser, doesn't work, will try to download it!
Really cool Idea! Would love to see this as a full game! Well done :)
Short but hey, I'm artist and I appreciate the visuals that went into this, especially the part with the lamp light, so nice. The gameplay is good overall maybe with a few mechanics to jazz it up it could really turn into something!

It's a lot of fun. Short duration, but excellent visual and funny music. One of the best implementations of the theme in my opinion. Just super!

The art and vibe of this game is honestly among the best I've seen in this jam. A bit sad that it was so short, but like others have said, you've got a really solid foundation for a great game! Also, right now the "Every 10 Seconds" theme, while you follow it and I was pleasantly surprised when the characters changed the first time, there's no rush to do anything because if you accidentally miss a button you can just wait 15 seconds and try again. On the other hand, that was also pretty nice, all of the other games are soo stressfull haha. Was nice to just chill for a bit in this world you created.
Nice job finishing and releasing your first project btw :) I have a hard time finishing projects too, but actually also finished my first game this jam too, so yay to us hehe :)
Had the game music playing in the background while writing this, and it's lovely!
I really liked the visuals, and the music. It reminds me of the "fireboy and watergirl" flash game. I feel that the timing of the level very good, if you do well you don't have to wait for cycles and can smoothly run through the level. Unfortunatly this is wait too short to really enjoy it, but we could see that you spend a lot of (good) energy in it, very good job !

Embedded HTML version doesn't work on Chrome, due to LD's site settings, I guess, not your fault, but seems to work on Firefox. You could throw it up on an itch.io page and it should run perfectly fine for everyone =).
This is a great start to a game. Everything feels smooth and polished, music is good, fun little puzzles, just need more content =). Nice job completing what's there in the jam, though, I quite enjoyed it!

Really good use of the theme! I also really liked the art (especially the squish/squash). My favourite part of it is definitely the music though, the rhythm of swaps becomes really satisfying because of it

A beauty!
The music being in sync with the 10-seconds timer was absolutely gucci, this definitely tops graphics audio and mood for these two points alone! Oh and bonus points for being in godot :smirk:
Going polish first was a good methodology for such a concept. That it lacks content is really unfortunate, but you have something really cool going on! While it is incomplete, you can definitely be proud of this submission, congrats!
I enjoyed it! Good graphics, good sound design, and great programming too. The only thing lacking is length, of course, but when the other aspects are so good well - the time crunch is real! Overall great submission.
