I liked your game. The drifting mechanics were fun and special (like a platformer in space) Mood was great mostly because of audio. Graphics could have been better.

I really enjoyed this. One thing you absolutely nailed was the fairness of the gameplay - I played through 4 times and got subsequently better results, which means that the mechanic is balanced fairly, as the player's increasing skill is rewarded with better results. One piece of feedback I do have is possibly to introduce a slight bias into the random generation of the shards - on one of my playthroughs, I found that they were consistently rendering below the platforms (leading to higher fuel expenditure), so it might be worth skewing it so there's a slightly higher chance of them being generated above the platforms. Overall I really enjoyed this - also, the sound design really heightened the experience.
Ok this game is genius. It has all the makings of a successful web game - incredibly easy to learn, gentle difficulty rise that forces more and more creative and deep strategies to survive, an infinite high score, and a pleasing and subtle physics element which feels organic enough to be satisfying and occasionally surprises, but never feels unfair.
I went from plodding along, avoiding platforms, to desperately hop-slamming myself top slurp up fuel before my base slipped off screen. I never felt like I had so much fuel it was easy, and was always riding that knife edge of barley surviving. The boost is a fantastic element, as it allows some daring last-minute saves, and allowing the player to skip pickups allows beautiful strategic plays that put survival over high score.
The sfx were great, adn the gentle foreboding void expressed in the bg and atmospheric music is a nice touch (a la 2001). With some additional visual polish this could be a powerfully addicting and beloved time waster.
It is shockingly engaging - I played this perhaps longer than any other jam game. It shows a mastery of game design by the creator. Truly fantastic job.
It's simple but very fun to play. I really enjoyed it! Good job :)
It's a fun little game that I enjoyed very much! The graphics were basic, yet fitting. I am very bad at this game, but I like it very much. I like "resting" on the platforms. One thing to improve: The movement felt a bit sluggish. Fun game.
Very good job for the sound design, it makes a special mood and I like it! graphics are simple but efficient. It made me want to retry several times .I enjoy it :)
Woah, good job! I really enjoyed playing this! I managed to get 18 shards my first run! I love how even with how simple it is, it's really hard to stop playing it!
Very nice.
I loved the atmosphere so much, you give 2001 vibes with only rectangles, nice :) (kudos to the sound designer) !The physic is really nice wich give to your game a pleasant gamefeel but To be honnest i did get a little bit bored after 18 shards cause i feel i couldn't really lost, I was hoping to discover something weird like the 2001 monolith but i lost patience.
Hey!
This game was really enjoyable. I liked the simplicity, it reminded me of beloved flash games. It took me a minute to figure out the shards aren't fuelling me and that the platforms are but once I did it became much more enjoyable. Well balanced and made, fits the theme well. Congrats!
This kept me interested way longer than I expected! It's so simple, but so captivating. Something about the gameplay made me want to just keep going a little further. stocking up on fuel and then letting it all go to capture shards was strangely satisfying.
You did a great job turning such a simple/unique idea into a fun game.
An interesting take on a platformer. The idea to have platforms both recharge your energy, give a boost, and fall is a good one.
However, the game is very slow. I spent most of my time waiting on platforms for more shards and platforms to appear. There are no other obstacles other than the platforms which didn't help. The optimal strategy is to wait on a platform for as long as possible and then boost towards the next shard. I didn't see myself failing at any point, until maybe I lost concentration or interest. Some music instead of ambience would have helped, but maybe that fits the game more.
My high score was 16 with plenty of fuel left.

Cool game! It remembers me of the old "moon landing" arcade games, only moving in the space :D I liked the small boost you get from the refueling platforms, it allows you to stay on them until the very last moment.
My best: 15
This reminds me of Kubrick's Space Odyssey with the sound scape and an old Commodore 64 game named "Back to reality" with the fuel draining mechanic. Loved the impending doom feeling! Really nice game, great to see another Godot entry <3
Like the unique platforming mechanic and having to use inertia to save resources. The ambient is nice outside of context but in this game sounds unnecessarily eerie. Also, the inevitability of running out of resources is a bit exaggerated ;)
I got 17 shards! Easy to get a hang of, and interesting thoughts to start and try to optimize movement. You can bounce off the top, but you fall through the bottom, which makes me think while it is in space maybe you are in low orbit over something? Could see it as a good base for something more exploration-based. nice job!
I really liked the low gravity aspect. A lot of times it can make a game feel not very responsive, but this was really well done, with even the slow scroll adding a level of pressure as I try to conserve fuel. I would have killed for a fuel power up to keep going! Still, a lot of fun. Nice job!
Nice game. I like the gamefeel - satisfying controls, physics and sound effects. Felt a bit too slow and easy - just sit on a platform to refuel for as long as possible, hop to the next shard, rinse and repeat. Lost interest about 16 shards in.
The 2001-esque music is nice but feels really out of place. There's nothing in the visuals or gameplay to amplify that desperate or horrifying feeling that the music is conveying.
I like the tension of managing your fuel, and having to master jumping off the platforms with good arcs instead of boosting everywhere. Additionally I really like how you have to out of your way to get score, and It's interesting but it gets boring/predictable after a bit. So the core mechanics are really interesting, but it needs some way to vary other than just platform and shard placement. Also shoutout to the background audio track that's very atmospheric
Very nice game ! It brings the vibe of an oldschool arcade game . I like the difficulty scaling you could add difficulty levels easy - normal - hard with bigger scaling at each one . Anyways the game is pretty good simple easy to learn and a bit addicting as well :P
Good job making this game! :) The platforming/drifting felt nice. And the music set quite the mood. I could almost feel the existential dread that one may encounter in the endless vacuum of space.
Very atmospheric, easy to pick up and play and generally well executed. I would love to see a bit more to it, perhaps giving the shards more of a purpose. I also found the movement to be a little too slow while out in the open, although the jump/boost you get when leaving a platform felt amazing to control. Great job!
Wow! Great atmosphere! Great creation of tension! Very good controls! For a compo game very very well balanced (Fuel, speed, number of platforms, ...)! Great subtle increase of difficulty!
I am impressed! Congratulations!!!
Super polished and satisfying controls! At first, I thought the game was a little bit too slow, but I eventually found out that it’s actually perfectly balanced, including speed. The amosphere this game created is superb and it becomes quite tense when you’re out of fuel and trying to survive for a little longer. Great entry!
