LD46 — Keep it alive

Keep It Undead by pcmaster 2020-04-21T19:15:50Z

I like the art style. I really enjoy the ironic zombie go home sign, as if it were there choice.

The world feels fleshed out and the game play is smooth. I did have trouble issuing multiple commands to a group.

Nice work.

Elements by Sir Magic 2020-04-21T14:04:53Z

I really like your art and lighting style.

One thing I might consider is the screen shake is a little too much. Maybe limit it to every other attack.

Otherwise I really likes the controls.

Keep the Keep by firellon 2020-04-22T16:35:07Z

Excellent game play. I really like the combination of puzzle and tower defense. If you've ever played the puzzle lab in Hearthstone this reminded of that. I like how you have at the beginning of the game what you will have for the entire game. It really puts the ownership of the outcome directly on the player. You feel when you win it was your doing. When you lose you feel like you know where you can improve.

This is my 20th review and my new favorite. Really nice job.

A Support's Burden by TomBuston 2020-04-21T18:32:54Z

Cool game liked the art. Had a hard time keeping him alive.

I like the keyhole mechanic, does that affect what happens in the room?

Mad Planter by Niki90000 2020-04-21T14:51:26Z

Good game. I like that the path made it intuitive on where to place the plants in the begining.

Nice job.

Civilitris by dasilvacontin 2020-04-21T19:12:24Z

Really great idea. It is kind of like what I was going for in my game but didn't quite know how to implement it. Im a huge fan of tile games with interesting interactions, nice job.

JamIt by jrf 2020-04-21T14:36:20Z

Cool idea. Would be great if the cops showed up if the volume stay too loud too long.

Nice job.

What the Shell by Andreas Roschal 2020-04-21T14:47:34Z

I really like your game. The music and mood/humor were awesome. Very clean and polished.

Had a little trouble upgrading towers. It showed green on the tool tip but wouldn't allow me to upgrade it.

My favorite game so far. Really nice.

Keep the LEVEL ALIVE! by magicera 2020-04-21T14:08:43Z

I really like the concept. Nice idea to flip the idea into keeping the level alive.

Controls are a little wonky for me. The dash effect is great but I found it hard to use.

Overall I think the core idea is great. Nice Job.

Bottom Up by srknvrnbskrt 2020-04-21T18:36:30Z

Great atmosphere. Really love when the monster rises out of the water.

Solar by thevinter 2020-04-21T18:46:05Z

Enjoyed the atmosphere and graphics.

I feel like the timing on shooting might be a touch off. I found myself trying to shoot often with no result which didn't feel great. However when you do shoot it feels nice.

Solar by thevinter 2020-04-21T19:40:12Z

No it always shot. Just it was on a cooldown. I think I meant I would like to shoot faster or at least everytime I pressed the button

Dungeon of Robots by GullynGames 2020-04-21T14:30:53Z

We liked your game. Had trouble giving the robot bolts.

The shooting felt really good, especially blowing up the tnt.

Nice going.

Sheepy Hollow by philipprapp95 2020-04-21T14:26:10Z

Liked the game. Had a little trouble with the camera.

It was fun.

Seven Nights in Siberia by Gus Goucher 2020-04-21T19:08:18Z

I really like the attack roll. Feels great stacking wood on the bear. I would like some kind of a dash or run.

The dynamic of saving the fire and saving yourself is awesome. Having to leave the cozy fire to keep it alive fits great with the theme. It has all the feelings of gathering wood while camping and the same relaxation.

Overall it is an excellent game given the time.

Elemental Robotics by Natan Wiegenfeld 2020-04-21T19:05:29Z

I actually like the mouse sensitivity.

I found it a like tricky to make some of the jumps though. It felt as if sometimes my jumps were different at the same power lvl. Overall though nice job.

Dozy Dungeon by Lesslwo 2020-04-22T16:21:50Z

Cool atmosphere. I found it easy to navigate. In some games of this style I feel like each time i change perspective I am unsure where I am. In your game however I did not feel that way. Nice Job.

Save Your Wife! by Sparsha Dhar 2020-04-21T14:56:18Z

I like the art style. Cool game.

The Keeper by petrifiedapple 2020-04-21T18:52:06Z

Enjoyed the game. I like the controls and the atmosphere.

a matter of life and death. by Ryan Harriman 2020-04-21T17:12:10Z

Thanks for all your feedback. I love the time of DOS games and early nes and SNES graphics. Really made me happy to see people playing and liking my game. Thank you

a matter of life and death. by Ryan Harriman 2020-04-22T16:58:04Z

@laau Thanks. I fixed the restart button. I also fixed the resolution size. This was my first time uploading a game to itch so bit of a learning curve. Thanks so much for playing

a matter of life and death. by Ryan Harriman 2020-04-22T19:30:45Z

@ondrasej Great points. I agree the pacing isn’t great and the waiting is the least fun part of the game. I basically started with the simulation and worked backwards to find room for player interaction. I learned that was a really hard way to do it. I also agree there is confusion in what is actually going on. I think this could be cleared up with more animation and more time. Thanks you so much for your thoughtful comments and thanks for trying my game.

Dungeon Furnisher by Zeroji 2020-04-21T14:19:15Z

We liked your game. It was a little confusing where to put the cards, or at least what the best strat was.

I really like the auto battle-concept.

Nice Job.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Dungeon Blast by Yword 2021-05-14T18:01:03Z

Really nice art. I really like the effect of the ring around bomb to let you know when it will go off.

Falling Time by g12345 2021-05-03T17:28:29Z

I liked the up down mechanic. Little fast for me. I do like the retro feel though.

Shoot 'em Down by Pennycook 2021-05-14T17:55:34Z

Really like the sprites. Also the effect when you hit an enemy is nice. Good idea to have the shots angle down so to make it more interesting trying to fly through. Very nice level of quality for a jam.

Tunnel hunters by Pete 2021-05-14T17:52:19Z

Big fan of all the rules and text. Art style is cool an thematic.

Fortress of Descent by DreamingDice 2021-04-29T01:24:39Z

I liked the look of the interface. I like the board game feel of it. I am a little confused on the choice of moves on left? I couldn't get any other than single move to work.

Cool game though.

Dungeon Depths by MaximBegunov 2021-05-14T00:48:47Z

Nice look to your game, Like the art

World Eater Jormungandr by Dilem 2021-04-29T01:37:25Z

The controls are excellent. Totally felt I was in control. The title of the game is great also.

Dhromur by Pixel Lifetime 2021-04-29T01:11:03Z

I like the intro screen. They gameplay was a little tough for me to figure out. Nice models.

The Crypt by CharlieMrl 2021-04-29T00:58:53Z

I had a hard time with the movement system. Seemed like i couldn't face where i wanted to.

The graphics and opening intro were really well done. If controls were a little snappier I think it would be great.

Research and Rescue by Kaleido 2021-04-29T01:14:42Z

I really liked your game. The controls worked well. Only thing i wasnt crazy about was the repetitive sound effect of the weapon firing.

The Depths (Ultimate Edition XXI) by sacredbacon 2021-04-29T01:03:50Z

I also had trouble with camera.

To the Center of the World by Dimini Inc. 2021-05-14T00:51:26Z

Nice Idea to use scroll bar. Although I like the idea, the execution was a little choppy for me. It was difficult to control my speed as I went down. But very original Idea

Deeper by EOShadows 2021-04-29T01:30:39Z

I really liked the audio. Art and gameplay was cool. I fell like keyboard move might have been batter. Nice atmosphere though.
