The music is good. I am curious to see this game more finished.

Cool idea. Would be great if the cops showed up if the volume stay too loud too long.

Nice job.

I really like the mood of this - the vignette and the way everything is drawn give a really nice vibe. Gameplay-wise, I feel as though the game doesn't give enough information or feedback to the player. I could have done with some sim-like thought bubbles from the party guests, or a warning that the neighbours were getting annoyed at the noise (I didn't realise that was a game mechanic until I came back and read the description). I also didn't realise there was a limited amount of food or drink, so just kept topping them up without any strategy. It's a really neat idea though, omnisciently controlling a dying party.

Unfortunately I can't hear music in this game.

Pretty neat idea. Cool game.

I liked the idea of trying to have a responsible but fun party. Haha! We've all tried that with different rates of success I suppose. I had fun for the first 5 minutes but then the party ended abruptly at 1.53AM with 11/15 guests but no food or drinks (not sure if there is a limit I had to follow?). I'm not sure why the party ended either. The mood was good. Nice job!

Well executed. Pretty slow burn though. A few more interaction types and/or outcomes would be apprectiated.

I like your idea and the art was pretty nice. It's kind of confusing what to do when you run out of food and drinks.

sylvainpv 2020-04-21 14:54

Okay so it's a dude only party ! Not sure if it fits the them then :p My party ended at 2AM with mood at max, did I win ? Not clear what I'm supposed to do when no more drinks and food

Pretty good game! Good for a game jam, <3

Cool idea! And good sound!

Good music, too bad it disappears sometimes ? It lacks of visual feedback (drinks + food) . Next you could add consequences, like people throwing up, cops for the noise, etc... Basically, the strategy I ended up with is to lower the sound on start to fire maximum people, then volume up to keep 5 or 6 people. Next is drink + food management to last until the morning. I don't know if it's a good way to keep a party alive in real life, but I had a good time playing yours !

@ryan-harriman That actually was the idea behind the game ending if the noise level gets too high; neighbours call the cops and the party dies. I just simply ran out of time to communicate it properly :(

@jofish I agree, the lack of feedback is a real problem. I had those in mind but they got cut out due to time constraints. Limiting the food and drink supply was kind of a last minute implementation as having it infite felt way too easy.

@kitjenson I had planned more variables such as people passing out, calling in more people to liven up the party etc. but man is 72 hours short!

jrf 2020-04-21 18:04

@kebabuturka Sorry about that, there was a problem with audio on Chrome. Should be fixed now.

I liked the simple artwork and idea. I didn't know what to do when I figured out I cannot give my guests infinite amount of food to keep them happy :) A nice jam work. Congratulations.

I think you should consider adding effects like displaying less food and drink on screen when the food/drink level is down
