I liked the idrea, though I couldn't find an ending, which kind of felt strange, though it's not like these games have to have endings.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD31 → I love you, no matter what!

There's actually an ending. Sad you didn't find it :'(
I like your take on the theme - it is a very creative use of it. The environment the game created was enjoyable to be in, and told a clear story. It felt like you were in the narrator's mind, and allowed you to piece together their lives. The art was quite nice, and the music/sound made the experience complete.
I enjoyed this! I liked exploring the environment and discovering the story.
Beautiful!
Very, very nice visuals
It's really diifficult to exit the game on linux, needs a quit button.
Otherwise very nice
I've voted a lot and this is my favorite game so far. Very deep.
@FloatingGhost: On linux, CTRL+Q should work.
This was actually quite a nice experience! Very emotional. Got a bit confused about the ending though, at first I thought there wasn't one, but after seeing the comments and clicking around I got it!
Very emotional and nicely done! Although it was a bit hard to find the ending
A nice idea with nice art, but the writing was a bit thin, I suppose it comes with being such a short game but I couldn't connect with the characters emotionally, but if it had more to it and maybe some progression, it would have had a much greater impact. But again, I suppose it comes down to the time limit. The art was very nice an it was the first LD game I've seen totally voice acted, music was gently and appropriate. Didn't find the ending either.
I added a SPOILER ALERT description to find the end.
Moody game, impressive voice acting (even if Son seems a bit better than Mother IMHO). I clicked everywhere (or so I think) and listened to each little pieces of memories, but I got stuck eventually, wondering if there was an ending?
The story is a bit shallow and pretentious. Maybe try a more direct approach with writing when there is no time to flesh out the background of the characters.
Voice acting is not very believable, because the son and father have the same voice, and the mother sounds like a teenage girl.
Technical quality of the voice recordings is very good, also the music really fits in.
I don't want to bash your game, you've probably put a lot of hard work in it, but I didn't like it. sorry :(
Game with strong mood. Short, but deep story. So sad that game design not so good. Technicaly gameplay require to pixel-hunt all interactive objects on screen and click on it. There no progression when you need to do something by gameplay to get new story point. For example, you click on wardrobe and get info about console. Next step - you click on console lying on shelf and get memory how you played with dad long time before he left. Just my suggestion how you game can be more better :o)
Nice graphics! I Included it in part 6 of my Ludum Dare 31 compilation video series, if you would like to check it out :) http://youtu.be/Sw1gBeS2zkc
Should I make a joke about the 2007th? c:
Good entry.
I liked the idea too, though I think the voice acting threw it off a bit. Overall a neato experience.
I hate to sound so harsh, but your female voice actor sounded more like a young hairdresser than a man's mother. The guy's voice was on point mostly, though.
The audio is one of the game's strongsuits; How it changes to fit the item you're inspecting creates a cool effect. Tell your composer well done!
I think it's very ambitious to try to move an audience in such a limited amount of time. You partly succeeded thanks to the music but I feel it would be more interesting to have characters with stronger personalities/backstories.
nice work
