Thanks, it should be fixed now!
Wow :o I like the look of the game! good job on this entry :D
Cool graphics, the music is nice and the name of the objects are really fun haha, had a good laugh when discovering the "canned farts". I don't really see the link with the theme of the Jam but anyway, cool little game ! :D
I like the graphics and the music and the gameplay concept; i just wish the boat would move a little faster!
i really like this one!
Liked the concept of a trading game and the graphics were great.
Feels like it was missing something. Maybe a way to lose money or an enemy to fight/run away from between the islands.
I loved it! I agree that it could use maybe some enemies or something between the islands but as-is is great too!
NANI?!
I do not see my mouse pointer. But crusing around is fun!
I was quite amused. Took me 247 seconds. Good job! :D
Great graphics. It's pretty impressive. The game makes me think of another game: "soul searching", you should check it out : https://kayabros.itch.io/ss
Too bad the gameplay is not that interresting though, it seems there's just one item to find that can you can sell for way more than what you bought. Also the boat is kinda slow and there's not much to do while traveling from an island to another, appart from enjoying the nice music and awesome art. ^_^
Pretty nice game overall, keep the good work !!
@ditzel Thanks for the feedback! Originally I wanted the menus to be controlled only by keyboard, but the Unity web-player is making it impossible to lock and hide the cursor. So I've updated the game to show the cursor :)
Best looking game I have played in LD40 so far. Nice music good humour. Nice job.
Omae wa, mou shindeiru! Haha neat little game. Got 189s on first try and 138s on 2nd try. Gotta love a good ol sailing & trading game. Graphics are pretty and the BGM is adorable, which definitely makes up for the simple gameplay. Well done!
Canned farts seem a bit overpriced in my opinion. Liked the music and the humor. Cool graphics. Congrats!
Nice music and I liked the humor! Also the graphics was really nice. But the game play wasn't that interesting after a short while unfortunately. Good work!
I lost almost all of my money! I really liked the graphics and the depth of field on the camera looks awesome. The controls on the boat are very well done! Super cool entry!
If you would like you could try my HTML5 game
it is a programming puzzle platforming game in 3D.
Chill and relaxing! I dug the randomization of the islands, wasn't expecting it when I tried it again to mess around after my first play-though (surprised you didn't list it anywhere). The music and ambient sounds were a nice complement to the game-play, which is a fun little buy low, sell high merchant trading game, which I always enjoy.
My main complaint is without anything to offset the trading, it could become a bit of a chore once you figure-out what will make you the most money quickly. While finding who sold what, and who bought what for a good price was fun, once you figure it out, it's just a repetitive task going back and forth. Similar games solved this with combat or prices fluctuating, but I'm sure there's other ways too. Although, given the time constraints, it's understandable why it lacks an offset. It also doesn't really fit the theme.
Still, it was quite a enjoyable and relaxing entry, with nice visuals and audio effects to enhance it. Nice work!
It took me 307 seconds -- laaaame me! I was greedy and didn't jump on the taco deal on the left and top islands :) Nicely done! Also the "talking" characters :D
This is a very, very solid compo entry. The graphics are great, the feel and the mood is awesome, the sound is perfect. I love the sheep that has the weird voice; every time I traded with him I laughed. The game doesn't really seem to fit with the theme, however. There's nothing about trading that makes it worse the more you get. In fact, it's the opposite! Also, the game doesn't really get much harder. Once you find a deal, it's always a deal. I would simply buy the voice changers from the sheep and sell them to the giraffe and make $40 each time. If the giraffe had said, "I've had enough of those! I need tacos," or something like that, then I would have had to find a new deal. Otherwise, like what @zee said, it just gets boring. But this game is still really really cool and I encourage you to continue developing it!
The graphics were really good, including details such as shadows on the sea bed, and my wife, who normally gets motion sickness with 3d graphics, found this a joy to watch. I like how each time you replayed it, the prices adjusted, as well as the locations of the ports. The music fits the mood of the game.
I liked the game! The graphics and audio were really great. I liked how you managed to create interactable NPCs, weird animals with strange faces and voices. The best was "omae wa mo shinderu". The thing is that the game doesn't fit the theme in my opinion, it just about knowing which island is better to trade. Anyway, great job!
Your game looks quite nice, but in my opinion the idea doesn't really fit the theme. The gameplay was also a bit unbalanced. There should maybe have been a total number of items available on an island, or the demand (and with it the price) of items should drop when you deliver a bunch of it, because I won by going between the bottom two islands buying canned farts and reselling them for 2.5 times their cost...
Lovely looking game and the music is just a perfect fit, nails the mood for sure. The characters at the ports maybe weren't as nice visually but they had some humour to them, which was a nice surprise. The gameplay itself feels a bit under baked; the trading is very simple and there is no challenge or risk involved.
Fun game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 40 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzMlvyUelZw
