This is my first time participating in jam. I already have 7 years of experience in game development (I work for a company). And here are the rules that I followed when creating my jam game. 1. 3 minutes of intense and interesting gameplay is better than stretching it for an hour. 2. There are more than 2000 developers involved in the jam. I want to play as many other games as possible - I'm interested in what others have done. That's why I want to spend only 15 minutes on each game. 3. If a player passes my game in 5 minutes and says "I want more", I will consider that I did everything well))) 4. Sometimes the game cannot be completed in one attempt - this time for attempts should also be taken into account. 5. I really appreciate the players' time (and mine too) :)
The game looks fun, but I can't interact with anything. The cursor is stuck on the '+' button (even after restarting), even though the reticle is moving. Knipsel.PNG I hope you can fix it, I would love to try your game!

I couldn't play, the game doesn't respond to my mouse. :/

@last-angle @allexeee try using the buttons below the screen :)
Thanks for the explanation! I tried the enter button, but that didn't seem to work the first time. But now I got to play! I like the look of this game, and using the hand to actually interact with the buttons is fun. I didn't know what to do when the warning started popping up, but eventually I made it to the end.
I did it, I found the nodes and my work for the company was appreciated!
Very immersive game, it really draws you in with the way you switch between the buttons and the display. That plus the CRT computer noise, and the button sfx, you really managed to capture that feeling of sitting in the dark with a computer monitor late at night extremely well! Gameplay was a cool tight loop, I always had to weigh checking just one or two more nodes against the potential system collapse, that gave a nice feeling of urgency to it. You can't use the buttons and see the node properties at the same time, so you had to make decisions there too, I thought that was neatly designed. And for me it was a real nailbiter, I had a couple of collapses and restarts before I managed to find three nodes in a row (I was lucky, they were all close to the starting node). Very cool atmospheric game, great job!

Not sure if there's a mechanic I'm missing, but the collapse seems to happen randomly and is as bad as restarting the system. Seems I need to get lucky and find the matching node in the first few moves (which I haven't managed to do) or restart.
The atmosphere and art are subtly creepy, which I like. Kind of reminds me of Lethal Company.

I figured out the controls... but I didn't figure out how to play I pressed Enter (I start looking for the right node) I click on the Left Arrow and that's it, I've already lost (5 seconds have not passed). And so on 5 times in a row. Sometimes i "lived" a little longer.
It feels like I'm defusing a bomb :D
I made 10 attempts. I didn't manage to find any nodes(

@allexeee there was a bug with random collapse that I didn't have time to fix. sorry for that :/

The atmosphere is wonderfully built, it really makes you feel immersed and connected to the world.
Haha I'm surprised you didn't allow humor rating, the I found the game quite funny! Making the player click to type and look around a screen to look around a screen had a sort of rare metahumor.
I only got 1 node, but it was fun trying to figure out what the game wanted, and how to go about it best. I thin you could've had a 3x3 grid and the game would've been much better suited to the amount of time you have before restarts, etc.
Good stuff!

This game got a very dystopian vibe, and i like it! It controls a bit finicky but that also fits the whole mood. It took me some time to actually start the game, i don't know if the buttons didn't respond the first time, or that i pressed the wrong buttons. The overload mechanic can work, but now it is too random i think. You have no control over it, and just have to get lucky to find the right node in a few steps. Overall very atmospheric, well done!

Very good atmosphere, loved it! Took me a while to figure out how to control this, because it requires looking at keys in quite specific angles/areas, but once I figured it out, I was able to finish this, yay!

Couldn't get past more than the first node unfortunately. The button pressing mechanic was neat and the atmosphere was also good. The overload felt a bit random and having to restart with no choice was a bit annoying. Still, very cool game.
Very moody ... I liked the feel of the game - good job on the execution :thumbsup_tone1: Left you a rating

I spent like 15 minutes and still couldn't figure out what I'm supposed to do. I hear the beeping, the message says I need to reboot. I reboot — everything starts over. I don't reboot — everything breaks and starts over anyway. I try clicking different nodes and everything keeps breaking and resetting. I'm clearly doing something wrong =(

I like the sound effects, but I don't understand the puzzle. So I got to hear the collapse sound over and over.
I get it, but its really not hitting for me.
I think if you're going to make the player physically look down at buttons every single time they do anything, just to look back up at a screen to see where the cursor went, you either need to be in VR (still not fun tbh), or need to be doing something _really_ compelling alongside it, like a Stanley's Parable-esk story or something...which is probably beyond the scope of the Jam, let alone the Compo.
I found myself just being frustrated and audibly saying "really?" after starting the node minigame and still being locked to the keyboard, lol.
Your cover art, page, and even audio and graphics in-game are very intriguing, one of the more curious entries I've played so far, so it was a bit of a let down to be met with this kind of gameplay. Its just not for me.
I can still appreciate what you've tried to make though, and others may like it. I'd love to see you create something very different next LD!

The game graphics are quite interesting. However, the gameplay and instructions could be clearer. Maybe the duration was too short. I'm looking forward to the next installment!
