I really want to rate this game, it is polished very well! But I have no clue about what i'm doing/have to do.

Cool game just a bit hard to get the hang of
I have no idea whats going on. Every card I place just gets attacked and dies, no difference in the cards whatsoever. If I place the cards alway away from the zombies I also never die, cause I can play more then they can destroy. So basically nothing ever really happens... Idk if this is supposed to be a funny take on the theme, that you can actually do nothing usefull at all. But then you have humor disabled. I really like the graphics and mood tho
A very interesting game. Great graphics. Within the game itself, basic training will not hurt. It would not be bad to see in the game a description of their purpose maps and characteristics. I understand that all problems are due to JAM time limits. Continue to develop the game. Good luck :)
@ausstein player can do useful things. Some cards can be selected (not necessary an empty one), after that highlights on the board (blinking cards) change and you can select one of them to interact. It is not well balanced though, so you can escape enemies from first wave by outbuilding them. But later waves can be harder.
@dodelov yes, it needs some kind of training or interactive hints. But we wanted to keep cryptic mood (and had not enough time of course), so it seems to us that highlighting positions on the board would be enough to encourage player to investigate. Guess, we were wrong ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@kothead I have not seen one blinking card is that a bug?
@ausstein It could be. Which browser do you have? Three starting cards are like resource cards. In an adjacent to the cell with a resource card you can place one of three additional cards, which can spawn your own creatures. You need to click a spawning card and then click an adjacent position to spawn a creature. I guess I need to add some information about all this in game's description =D
@kothead oh there is blinking but it is very subtle. Hard to notice especially since all the empty fields blink all the time. This is actually quite cool. But you need to add some description to make it playable :)
ok now the game crashed after the first wave :(
edit 2nd time now. the screen just turns full black :(
@ausstein crashes make me sad =(. You are playing html-vesion right? I've replayed several times right now till restart (which means win) and had nothing like it. Could you please tell me what were you doing in general terms and what browser do you use? Or I could compile separate version with logging if it was easier. Don't want to bother your, but I cannot to reproduce it by myself
@kothead I'm on chrome. I could not reproduce it right now just went all the way to win. But what i can say is that i used the run tactic on the first wave to build a huge base yesterday. And then it crashed on the second. So maybe that has to do with it.
I really think you should explain the rules. All the different mini design differences on the cards seem so cool and I'm sure they all have an effect. It would be really cool to know what they do. Maybe you could still start with the you know nothing, but once you unlock a certain design for the first time it tells you why you unlocked it and what it does.
This game has huge potential, and it is sad to see som much of it wasted.
Do you plan on developing this further? I'd like to see many more cards, maybe even some deck building (you have to chose 6) and a two player mode where you both start building a base in oposite corners :)
I like that you have to find out what all the cards do. I think I figured it out, but some more suggestive blinking wouln'd hurt. Graphics and everything else is good, especially for a game jam, so good work!
It gets interesting once you know what to do, players cant understand at all until you say so, probably write something in the description
Interesting game. Having some sort of tutorial system would make it more appealing from the start.
The art is fantastic! Could not actually figure out was non-building cards do, but had a great time spawning minions and battling enemies. I hope you would take your time to continue with this project.
Now this is an interesting game. I think the you start with no knowledge of the mechanics is a little too much. Maybe some basics (like how to create units) would be very good. And some eerie music would have gone a long way.
Nice art style, and solid gameplay. Good job!
I didn't really understand how to build units at first. I think it could be clearer by highlighting the units/buildings more when you have clicked on it.
I like how each building gets powered up by the adjacent elements, and create different kind of units. It feels mysterious to build a unit and then get a brighter moon, or like the first time I spawned a minotaur.
I like how the board gets crowded and how you want to move away your units to build more.
It feels a little strange to just get two action until the enemy can move again. And because its so expensive to move units, you turtle a lot with them waiting on the enemies.
Interesting entry, could play this more, would also be nice to have some indicator how far you progress.
I like what I understand about the game, but it needs some sort of explaining in game on what anything does. Clicking and using a move immediately just leaves me wondering what I should be doing.
The game had a cool mood and you hit the Theme pretty well - i had not a single clue of how to play^^ I have never played a card game in this manner - so for me the innovation was also pretty good ;)
