LD33 — You are the Monster

Kitten Karnage by Beanalby 2015-08-24T02:38:00

This was really sweet! I liked that you weren't just a usual monster but a cat. The not-pixelated, good art was also very refreshing.

Unsolicited by dukope 2015-08-24T02:45:00

Awesome! I knew immediately when I started playing that you'd made it, from having played Papers Please (and other stuff you've made).

Cerberus (vs Unicorns) by eolhing 2015-08-24T03:38:00

It's a tad short, and maybe the heads should have separate cooldowns for their attacks? Right now, mashing beats the game pretty well.

You are the GM by GAFBlizzard 2015-08-24T02:11:00

Pretty cool idea. Maybe would have liked a bit more content, but hey, that might be a reason to push the idea into a bigger timeframe than 2 days.

Monstaaaaar! by ilikescifi 2015-08-24T23:33:00

It just opens up and says "File Error" on windows 7 64 bit.

Hydrated by TnT 2015-08-25T01:51:00

It didn't run for me. Windows 7, 64 bit. Java 1.7.0_40.

Johnny Yeti's Pro Skiing by dopplerdefekt 2015-08-24T23:36:00

Getting the same 'file is malicious' message'.

EyeShot by parDal 2015-08-24T23:31:00

Pretty solid.

Creature Power by Empyrealhell 2015-08-24T03:03:00

I like the interpretation of 'monster'!

Adolf no Baito! by PixelPerfect 2015-08-24T23:04:00

Being an anime adolf hitler really isn't my thing but the two minigames worked pretty well.

Shifting by Vacso 2015-08-25T02:14:00

Windows 7, 64 bit, Java 1.7.0_40, running it puts up a "A Java Exception has occurred" window.

Monster in the Woods by Move127 2015-08-25T02:31:00

Maybe it was because I killed people in the wrong order, but I couldn't get the last person (in the pink dress) to say anything but a greeting.

Possessive by PeculiarCarrot 2015-08-25T02:39:00

It looks like you had a good idea for "Death is not the end" and tried to trick it into being "You are the Monster", but otherwise it's all really solid.

I Know You Are, But What Am I? by bonnup 2015-08-24T23:41:00

It crashed for me on the "you are not human" line and wouldn't do anything else. Otherwise a cool idea.

The Smell of Fear by Reecer9714 2015-08-24T23:10:00

I really like the idea behind it and the sound-wave viewing of other people. I wish I could chase people faster, I could never catch up to anyone.

Tenebris Morte by FerraWare 2015-08-24T03:21:00

I really like the way the game plays out with the branching paths. I wish there were maybe more choices to make or a bit less randomness overall, though.

Subterranean by K.Chplr 2015-08-28T11:31:00

I wish it had a bit more content, considering you used ThreeJs. It's not much more than a couple of random-y heightmaps and a diamond for the enemies. Not even a UI to know how many hits you have left or a restart button.

Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum by Justin Stahlman by stahlmanDesign 2015-08-24T03:00:00

I wish the beanstalks were around longer! I feel like I can't climb up them in time. Otherwise pretty cool!

Good Night Monster by Multiplexor 2015-08-24T23:19:00

The blocky graphics don't really look good, and I don't see what the game gains from being in 3d. Being able to move faster might be nice.

Hydro Carbon by bentglasstube 2015-08-24T23:27:00

I wish the controls were more responsive. It feels like they assigned a direction for 'x' time and couldn't be overwritten instead of moving you when you pressed them. Very good otherwise.

Trickers by Dege 2015-08-24T03:08:00

The music is not very nice, a mute button would have been cool.

The Wolf Comes Out at 18:00 by Stephen Patrick 2015-08-25T08:46:00

So the controls are supposed to be: Arrows or WASD to move, click to interact with something nearby the player at an angle according to the click position. Is this not happening for some players?

Human Hunter by spatanz 2015-08-24T05:07:00

Sweet! Just, simple and fun!

Monstermanity by D3giler 2015-08-24T23:34:00

On windows 7 64 bit it says it doesn't have a "Monstermanita data" folder next to the executable.

Futility by Gigaraptor 2015-08-24T22:57:00

Crashed for me on startup, windows 7 64 bit.

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Nuclear Arms 2: Garbage Day by Logicon 2015-12-18T04:49:00

The art styles didn't really mesh with eachother. It was difficult to trigger shooting. It seems like it has a lot of stuff going on, but the idea at its core probably isn't good for two button controls. It's a game that needs four buttons, compressed into two.

Two-Punch Man by canary40 2015-12-18T04:35:00

I felt like all I did was hit a button (either) when the opponent put their guard down. It took a long time, so I wasn't interested in seeing if waiting through another couple fighters would introduce more interesting elements.

Balloon Cat by TheFudster 2015-12-14T06:33:00

It was pretty cute and had great graphics, but I had a hard time controlling where to land. As soon as I'd seen the landing spot I would already be too far gone to deflate to hit it.

Grow Heart by chr15m 2015-12-14T06:40:00

Neat! I didn't know why I was doing what I was doing until the end though.

The Life of John by jackyjjc 2015-12-14T07:12:00

It's a little weird that I have to marry my lover every year (and lose 20 money every year) or they get upset with me. I like the idea a lot, though.

Wellspring Wanderer by Justin Mullin 2015-12-14T17:01:00

The graphics and audio are really nice, and the gravity/physics mechanics must have been pretty tricky to get done in time! An option to skip (or speed up) the dialogue would have been nice.

Man Simulator by Drtizzle 2015-12-14T03:20:00

Your audio and graphics are good, but disgusting?

Galbanic Murdered by Sokar92 2015-12-15T04:19:00

The graphics look nice, but you should really write the controls down on the page-- I can't remember all the combos without writing them down.

RitualCraft by Squid Blink Games 2015-12-18T05:01:00

I sort of wish I could look at my list of recipes and make something new without having to hit venture out five times in hope of finding the right materials.

Mood Swings by catchthefloaty 2015-12-14T06:34:00

The buttons didn't do anything when I pressed them. They were also in the wrong spot, mine were off to the right unlike the picture.

Crystonal by Kapura 2015-12-14T03:31:00

Was a nice toy, but hard to understand how to get to the yellow blocks (I think that's the goal?) Really neat though!

Sproutsong by ehgoodenough 2015-12-15T03:56:00

Everything fits together, audio and visual wise, which is really nice. I wish there was a goal to reach for, though.

Growth by Alexander Ramsay-Baggs 2015-12-18T05:18:00

It seemed pretty slow for a farming game without side-goals. In harvest moon waiting for things to grow is to enforce your perspective of time and give you time to interact with the town, but here there doesn't seem like much of a purpose for clicking on new day ten times before you can get your value out of you wheat. Functional with good aesthetics, though.

Mr. Dungeon Aase by Jordan 2015-12-14T03:34:00

I couldn't leave! I had to alt-f4!

Super Santaur by tweedle 2015-12-15T03:49:00

Really nice. Sometimes I would get stuck with the starting gun behind an ice barrier I didn't have the firepower to blow up though, and it was a little frustrating

Car Train by Duobix 2015-12-14T06:38:00

Pretty okay. I wish the camera started out a but further back, or that it was easier to see when another car was going to side-swipe you

Biorhythm by prymidion 2015-12-16T03:30:00

Cool job dude. I especially liked how having a bunch of bacteria meant you had to control them in separate bursts when they couldn't all fit in the circle.

Nearing Extinction by AlexLamarche 2015-12-15T01:02:00

It was pretty nice. Pacing maybe should've been faster throughout-- early on it was too easy, and later on the turrets did all the work. I got to wave 23 with a map full of turrets before I stopped playing.

Flower Son by Stephen Patrick 2015-12-14T22:53:00

A little clarification: You can't skip the intro until it's loaded the map. (You can mash continue before the map is loaded though)

Platforms (Two Button Controls) by markoburzan27 2015-12-14T23:59:00

It had a nice learning curve!

Infinite Runner by Penthaquill 2015-12-14T23:52:00

I agree that the contrast between screen elements could be better. It also seems like you should always be spamming slide, so maybe there should be a down side to sliding?

Greatest physics-based game that doesn't use real physics by KunoNoOni 2015-12-18T04:23:00

The graphics and audio aren't very tolerable. The gameplay is very basic, broken, not very enjoyable.

Tequila Cactus by JeffCODEblum 2015-12-14T07:04:00

It's really hard to not hit the cacti!
