Crash scenario fixed, download now finished.

I was not able to get the game to run on Mac

vacso 2015-08-25 01:49

Thanks for telling me, links been removed.

I'm not sure why I have to kill cats. YOU MONSTER!!

Overall, the game works and there is a clear scoring system. Becoming a monster for 120 seconds seemed like an incredibly long time considering that you simply annihilate everything you touch. I got the feeling that it was night time, but the entire thing just seemed too dark. I thought something was wrong with my monitor. It was worth messing around with, but 109MB worth of downloading seems like a lot!

vacso 2015-08-25 02:01

No no no, you are the monster as per the theme ;) Yeh, my engine *cough* may be a bit bulky sorry. Wasn't sure about 120 seconds but I thought it was just long enough to get a decent score that is above 70 :/ thanks for playing!

Cool tile based game. The high score was sadly not working. Keep working on it. :-) Was fun to play it.

Windows 7, 64 bit, Java 1.7.0_40, running it puts up a "A Java Exception has occurred" window.

vacso 2015-08-25 02:20

You need Java 1.8 (the latest) Stephen

Atomic do you mean you went to the menu and back in to a game after getting the score and it was no longer there because that is intentional so you can get the highest score per game.

Thanks for playing :)

Interesting. The game feels overall balanced, but I agree that 120 seconds as the monster may be too much time. Overall, I thought it was pretty good.

fanatrick 2015-08-25 02:39

I played it through, the powerup lasts for too long. The concept is alright but 100+ mb seems a bit much.

vacso 2015-08-25 10:42

Ill condense it a little bit and post it as OS/X port. (The OS/X port will still not be working)

vacso 2015-08-25 12:41

Realized condensing is actually impossible here, my apologies.

Nice music!

Tells me the jarfile is corrupted. Java 1.8 64bit on windows 7. I can run other java 8 files(including my entry :p) so the problem seems to be on your end...

vacso 2015-08-28 10:41

I downloaded directly from Dropbox and it ran fine, did you try re-downloading and where did this happen? On start or mid-way?

camthestar 2015-08-30 06:13

Overall great game. The theme was perfect. The only thing I would have changed is to flip the monster sprite based on direction like the other entities do.

vacso 2015-09-02 16:16

Yeah, truth be told that was bad timing taking effect. With two hours I had to design and fill a menu, add cats, draw cats and draw the monster. I was going to draw the monster's left and right but I couldn't decide on the body type and stuff. Glad you liked it though ;)

vacso 2015-09-03 23:50

Just got a top score of 214 :) Don't expect anyone to care, I'm just happy about it.

antag99 2015-09-08 13:50

Nice game, but you might want to compress the audio files ;)
