LD45 — Start with nothing

Stealth.Run() by ping78 2019-10-16T21:07:48Z

well done and here is your well deserved 20th rating to score  the terminal is a very cool way to grasp the theme tbh, and is executed well! but the stealth fps is too hard for a jam game as others mentioned. I would love to see how the fps side evolves also. keep up the good work!

My Battle by minibobbo 2019-10-16T20:37:29Z

well done! great execution in all aspects  just one feedback; game is a bit hard and becomes frustrating after you collect all upgrades and still can't beat the boss/depression (which is kinda realistic tbh) I think it would be motivating and rewarding in all senses if it could be beaten doing hard work by waking up and collecting all the upgrades by not giving up for days. keep up the good work!

Sweet Tooth by tweedle 2019-10-12T12:24:16Z

sounds, spooky atmosphere and unlockable content (which increases replayability drastically) are the most appealing parts to me. it's getting very fun after some upgrades (especially skates )

as a feedback a few things I could say that are controls could be a bit more smoother over paths especially and candies come out from houses could be randomized to not abuse the top left one, and create reaction on the player that it hit jackpot. I think also that it would be nice that be able to go over all the ground even on the grass and the ghosts could be covering grass to make shortcuts challenging :)

anyways, very well implemented store and unlockable system with replayability covers all of these small issues smoothly and it's really rare to see that much content and polish, well done!

incandescence by drtizzle 2019-10-12T12:48:31Z

the rain blur is ingenious. it makes greatly get into the mood of driving at a rainy night with a very very low sight. great interpretation of theme. smooth and clear execution makes this game stand with polish I believe and because of that I will keep this game on my mac :) keep up the good work!

Lost Somewhere by burakkurkcu 2019-10-12T07:08:46Z

@chaos huge thanks for detailed, great feedback! we tried to make the placing look and feel organic actually by calculating statistical spreading with some "math-o-magic" and it doesn't let us know the exact progress so we just left with loading at the time. we totally agree on audio feedback and actually we were planning adding shutter, zoom effects and bg music but, we couldn't work on it after 48 hours due to local space restrictions and just forgot to put them in the hurry, we didn't even switch off audio rating of the game :) thanks again for your kind words and feedback!

@finnthepirate thanks for feedback and confirming that loading screen of game has no problems! the fourth one is the hardest character to find but I assure that there is no bug, just need to look carefully on the map when zoomed out :)

@ryuu haha, thanks for the kind words and glad that you enjoyed! last one was cutest by far but also a tad evil in terms of finding it around :)

@t-bo we were definitely aiming for where's the waldo! thanks for playing and kind words, we are glad that you have enjoyed!

@ropedog thanks for the cool and detailed feedback :) you made our day because we totally agree on that even the smallest thing shines with proper execution and implementation and we had developed the game at this scope from the start to focus on that. we are thinking about a bigger commercial release of this game maybe with something like Hidden Folks, but currently I don't know actually :) on the audio rating, I mentioned above also that we were in a hurry for 48 hours due to local space restrictions and I just submitted game with the mind like we had implemented audio that we have planned also :) thanks again for your cool comment and we are very glad that you have enjoyed!

@pestodesign thanks for playing and kind words, we are very glad that you liked our cuties! :)

@drtizzle thanks for kind words, "short and quirky" is also our favourite recipe for a jam game, glad to see that :) missing audio saddens me also when it's forgotten in the rush of 48 hour local site deadline.

@ludo thanks! we are glad that you liked! :D

@ekin we couldn't agree more! :) thanks for playing and honest feedback :)

@velvetlobster well... I think screenshot can be spoiler for some... JOKING, of course! :D thanks for playing and even sharing the screenshot to express your favourites! we are also deeply sad about missing audio! we are very glad that you liked the game overall and expressed in such a cool way!

Thief for Hire by MasterMilkX 2019-10-12T06:04:53Z

Nice work! I would love to see a kinda progress bar on top of the screen that makes day and night cycle with a timer so that would be a nice challenging way to keep coming at houses at night and leaving before the daylight shines :)

No-Thing Island by SleepyStudios 2019-10-12T06:22:45Z

It's very well done puzzle game, with not that hard but clever puzzles (I won't give spoiler about my favourite puzzle in the game), the art style, sounds and mood is great. I enjoyed much, good job!

Build Yourself by Ygor.arts 2019-10-11T22:45:10Z

Idea is good but I think you have spent too much time on polish to get things working even for minimum playable state.

Vault 7 by Luk3 2019-10-12T11:42:42Z

the mood, sounds, art and atmosphere fits really great together. it reminds me Fallout 1 & 2 games with post-apocalyptic environment with lots of VAULTS :) I believe as an indicator to levers you could have also used more subtle thing maybe like light leaks on 4 sides of the walls to make it more atmospheric. I know that you intentionally didn't give any clues to player to fit in the theme, but I believe if you want to continue on working, you should avoid designing puzzles that can solved easily by trial and error like in this one to make the player feel more accomplished when they solved a puzzle, instead of randomness and "not sure, just mashed buttons and it worked" feeling. you can still avoid this by giving almost no clue. anyways as a Fallout 2 fan, I really enjoyed it :) congrats and keep up the good work! :)

Hell Defender by SpaceMonkey 2019-10-16T20:15:06Z

overall the idea behind the game is not bad even it is not finished. interesting approach to tower defence genre. but I wished that the game was more focused on powerful actions rather than trying to perfectly aim especially when in the harder waves it becomes a bit frustrating, I would love to see stacking effect per successful shot to make area of effect or more effective kinda supershots. keep up the good work!

Start with "nothing" by sommerlilie 2019-10-16T10:11:16Z

one of the greatest interpretation of theme I saw, congrats! packed with lots of surprises, but most effective thing on me is that I jumped in the thought train after seeing people got boredom and do things out of boredom.

Partz by lootgrounds 2019-10-12T16:39:17Z

Great execution, very nice game overall with mood to atmosphere, art to sound! I wish the controls had been more smooth and the level design is more easy to get around. Keep up the good work!

Poor Piggy by Ekin 2019-10-12T22:44:18Z

I am in love with mechanics and overall feel from the first minute I saw on the local event!

as feedbacks; - I would love smooth turns over controls and making camera movements also smoother. - objects get in between the camera and piggy could also be transparent to improve the overall user experience by not blocked vision over corners which is a problem for most of the objects.

keep up the good work!

OverThreeDays by Puce 2019-10-12T06:32:56Z

Nice work! It's definitely ambitious for 3 newbie jammers, but I really liked that how you get the game together overall. I think it just needs a bit better controls with clear goals/interactions and more content but nonetheless it is a cool start for you to develop games! Just keep creating and sharing and it will all be better and better over time! Keep up the good work!

HOBO DAYS by FinnThePirate 2019-10-12T12:36:26Z

I really liked the art, atmosphere, mood and the interpretation of the theme. it's a very solid jam game. just as a nice to have feedback, I believe it could be much more easier for first days, I couldn't even survived for one day which is way more realistic than I thought it would be  well done!

FISHWAR by Deoclecio Filho 2019-10-12T16:33:33Z

Downloaded project as a zip and opened index html. Game(!) opens, there is a fish image in front of a static image background that is controlled by arrows but weird movement and nothing happens.

Now Grab The Gun! by fallcresthero 2019-10-12T06:52:30Z

it's like SUPERHOT 2D

very cool game design, but as many commenters I think it's also a tad hard. keep up the good work :D
