Truck, Fuel my Rockets by garethjenkins 2017-07-31T21:45:23Z
The game is a lot of fun, but I found the truck controls quit unintuitive.

The game is a lot of fun, but I found the truck controls quit unintuitive.
The art is lovely and you've got a great theme, but the gameplay can be somewhat frustrating when it feels like you're at the mercy of the wind.
The day portion of the game is fun, but the night sections drag a bit since you can't do anything but watch.
While the game works very well, strafing might've been a better fit for the A/D movement instead of rotation. The ragdoll is excellently implemented, making up for the movement's quirks.
I found what little content there was to be compelling, but I stopped after the first couple days were quite samey.
Like everyone else, I have to complement how well the lighting effects were used to create the atmosphere of the game. I did find the font on the phone very annoying to read, which made me ignore it most of the time.
Etiolation has been a real highlight of all the games I've played so far! I was really impressed by how much variety there was in the level designs, especially given the time constraints
@stolen-biscuit I actually was worried that people would find it easy! You can defintitely keep a pretty good grip on the egg but there's a bit of a trick to it. I definitely should have considered an outsider's perspective more in the design.
@petturtle Yeah, I wanted to expand the platforming more but I locked myself into the character/tilemap proportions and found that it was too difficult to maneuvre n in tight spaces for more interesting platforming and too late to change the movement mechanics. Ah well, something for my next project.
It's a great take on the theme, but I do wish that it had a little more to it. Even a WPM counter or a tally of how many times DISCO had been typed so far would go a long way.
Wow, this is a real step up and definitely the most impressive game I have played so far! I did find the rest period a little strange though, there didn't seem to be much value in using the time to restore health or energy when it always starts at 100% when you die.
Lots of fun to be had, this could definitely make a successful mobile or flash game if fleshed out a bit.
Nice and well executed take on the idea! I did find the web version pretty much unplayable though, I had to download it to play properly.
Lot of fun to be had here, great take on a tower defence game! This was probably the game that I played for the longest of everything I've tried so far. Good job!
That was a lot of fun! I did find it a little annoying how there was no way to get rid of the targeting circle without clicking on something in it.
Neat little game! It wasn't immediately obvious to me that I had to build the fire up to get past the first gate, I died a couple times trying to interact with it.
Like some other others have said, it's got a freat feel to it and it fun to play. At the beginning I did find myself unsure of my strategy and accidentally blocked myself in, so I was stuck waiting for the enemies to break through the walls. I also felt like the preparation phase took a little too long, I rarely had anything to do for the last ten to twenty seconds.
As everyone else has said, the art, music, and atmosphere are absolutely fantastic and the best that I have seen in this jam so far. From a gameplay perspective, it was a little strange how the robot would continue to move for full seconds after I released the input. Despite that, it was still a very memorable experience. As someone else who also went with a Wall-E inspired game, its really interesting to see other people's spins on it.
That was a lot of fun, I found the drone controls to be a bit sluggish but I assume that was by design. Well done!
Like some people have pointed out, the info boxes at the start are a bit of an information overload, it was hard to put all of the information in to practice without restarting several times. I also had troubly with the AZERTY designed controls, so I ended up using a controller in one hand and the mouse in the other. Once I got over those hurdles I had a great time.
Short and sweet, that was great. It was a really interesting idea for a puzzle game and executed quite well. It's the first game I've played so far that I wanted more of. Well done!
Really cute and creative, I love the hand drawn style. I did find myself trying to click on the big arrow by the exit sign towards the end and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working.
I'm a little confused to be perfectly honest. I couldn't figure out where to bring some of the patients and I wasn't able to treat them, but I still got a popup telling me I won at the end.
The game has great music, but unfortunately I wasn't able to give the audio the rating it deserved because of the really high squeak that played every reset.
Firstly the game looks great. While it played well, it was a little annoying how quickly I ran out of money and how slowly I seemed to make it back.
Nice spin on a classic formula! I found spawning volcanoes in space a little weird, but it was quite fun, if a bit samey after a couple of waves.
Great little game with really fantastic atmosphere! I was a little confused by the thing that has the E key prompt be the fire, the popup it opened just said "Press E to exit"
Fun game, and much harder than I expected it to be. I kept getting lost and couldn't figure out where I was missing monsters.
The art and music were really fantastic well done! The gameplay was also a lot more fun and challenging than I expected it to be based on the first part of the tutorial. One thing I did find weird was the option to scroll up to stop the rain from falling, I couldn't understand why I would do that instead of just dragging the cloud out of the way.
It's hard to explain, but something about it just feels right. Movement and shooting are really smooth and a pleasure to play with. I did find it to be quite easy, and only died in the end because I wanted to see what happened if I let the radiation meter fill up completely.
I played for a couple of minutes but wasn't able to find the coffee machine for the second objective. It seems fun, but my experience was hampered a bit since I was playing on a QWERTY keyboard. I was able to move around freely by using a controller in one hand and my mouse in the other, but it was far from an ideal play experience.
Cute little game! I did run into some difficulty when I couldn't see which direction the forklift was pointing behind some of the racks, and it was also difficult to tell where I was setting the packages down for the loading bays in the back.
That was a lot of fun! I did find it quite frustrating that the quick movement speed combined with the pretty small window for pushing back enemies meant that I was constantly running through them and missing my attacks.
Like most of the other comments have said, I was intrigued to start but was a little disappointed when I realized there wasn't much going on. I couldn't tell what the shark was actually doing when it attacked me.
First off, the art style is fantastic. On the gameplay side, I felt that it could have been a bit more forgiving at the start. I had to die a couple times before I figured out the purposes of every location.

Fantastic visuals, that goes without saying, and a neat subversion of expectations with the plant and the human. I did find the gameplay a bit confusing as nothing seemed to happen after Verne's first breakdown.
Unforunately the web player kept glitching out for me so I wasn't able to play it properly.
This was a very simple but still compelling spin on the idea!
I was able to get the game to run, but unfortunately I ran into a number of other issues. It was quite annoying that at lower resolutions the build menu covered up the resource count for Earth. I also couldn't seem to select my new ships after building them. It looks and sounds interesting, but it's difficult to recommend when I couldn't really sink my teeth into it because of the issues.
Great little experience, very zen. It was fun to discover that I could interact with some of the items, like turning the light on and off and strumming the guitar.
When the theme was first announced I was wondering if I'd see a Tamagotchi-inspired game! The visuals and sound are great, even if the gameplay is a bit simplistic.
Great idea that fits the theme really well! I did find the flappy mode kind of frustrating, it didn't seem like the movement was precise enough to get in some of the smaller gaps.
