It is indeed a simple game, but what you managed to make is pretty nice! I really like the low poly style, and the hummed music :)
But when the snowball gets too big you can't see where you're going, so it would've be nice if the camera moved away from the snowball.
I'm tripping snowballs. Crazy music :P Are you actually allowed to do that since all content has to be original and that is a real song your singing? A fairly good entry.
@Drtizzle, I noticed that ball being too big, and made a quick fix :)
Thanks for the comment :)
@Mossy Frog, it is a real song, the tune is Public Domain (but I think I was out of tune? so does that count as derivative?) thanks for the comment :)

nice sounds! I get that you were trying to stick to the theme but it's kind of hard to see what you're doing sadly
What a sweet audio :-) Nice idea, you can improve it, by making snowball rolling down the hill, feeling of speed, and getting larger after taking more snow, that would be funny!

A simple game but it works well, the music and sound effets are nice.
I think the tree could look better with even less polys, they look less flat than then rest of the world.

Great soundtrack! Nice game:)
@duon44 I thought about adding an HUD map (but that would be more than 1 screen >.<)
@wdebowicz that's a great idea! :)
@khahem I see your point about the polys
thanks for the comments and liking the audio :)
@Eponesh thanks for the comment :)

I love the music! Simple game, but pretty polished. The trees that are too big don't appear to be any larger. And the camera makes it a little difficult to play. You might consider more 'pinball bumper' action on the trees to make it a little more chaotic and hard to avoid obstacles. Overall, I like it.
I like it. You tried for the compo I know that feel.
@Crushenator attempting the compo is my downfall... :))
@ben_pxlplz I was halfway done with planting trees before i realized that I should just aim for the snowball to keep moving forward, it would be simpler for the camera that way too.

:( I got 36.
Really nice first entry, I really like the low poly style of it. Funny that you chose to sing Carol of the Bells. You can always search for royalty free music if you're entering the jam :P .
Good that you got the collisions to still be functional while changing the transform.localScale too.
Nice work! Welcome to the Ludum Dare community!

It was fun, though I wish you could turn the camera.
Annoying music. Totally annoying music. The game would be 3 to 4 times better without it.
Simple gameplay but it does the job as you start to have fun in these cold mountains after a while. Loved trees design.
I'm felling bad to ask but what is the theme connection here?

nice first attempt! i actually liked what you did with the music here, home grown made me feel like a happy snowball knocking at some trees..
I really like the title of the game. The music is really cheery and its fun to do as the title suggests. I was able to knock 36 trees. That is my personal best. I think I can do better but it it gets really tricky to spot knock-able trees after while. But thats my only complaint really :)

Hey, heard you had trouble making trees, so I made you a little tutorial:

I like the graphics! I Included it in part 5 of my Ludum Dare 31 compilation video series, if you would like to check it out :) http://youtu.be/-qEX6yeW8uQ
@Linear omg, thanks :)
@Alex the song's lyrics are the only ones copyrighted :) the tune is public domain :)
@Jupiter thanks for the video :)
Reminds me a bit about Katamari. I would have liked to roll more. Maybe in bigger area. Wonderful soundtrack :D

That was adorable. Even though the song was really annoying. I kind of wanted camera controls to figure out which tree was green, and which wasn't.
The sound is sooooo annoying ! you did welll on this ! ><
