@hiinds Well done, only thing that bugs me is, that 'continue' and 'trash' have the same button. I kept throwing away stuff I really needed :P
Easily one of the best jam games I played so far. Interesting mechanic, not too hard, very relaxing to play. Especially the controller support was superb!
Sorry, this game confused me. I wasn't always sure whether the game acted as intended, in one moment I was in space and in the next moment I was on ground and had to choose whether I should drive right or left (stones were falling from the sky and of course I chose the wrong option). I got a glimpse of what I think the game should act like with the 'royals substory' but for my part I didn't get how most of the story was connected (or were the story random generated?)
Could get past room 4 :P, simple game - but not bad. I missed audio, maybe there went something wrong, otherwise add for example a nice catchy 8-bit theme playing in the background, a crash sound, etc. Also maybe consider to set the player back to the beginning of the level he failed and not to the beginning of the game (lvl 1). This way the player would be rewarded more often as he sees his progress saved.

EDIT: whoops my browser did something wrong here
Actually this is exactly the first thing I thought about when I saw the LD 42 Theme. Well made, although a bit lengthy in the end. I played through it, but there were some things that itched me: - because of its length, some additional music tracks would improve the game. - the last stage was almost the whole time just black, maybe add some graphics here too, because they were really good in the earlier stages - galaxy and universe stage were both very hard in the beginning, I thought the game was broken, because the counter did not go up for minutes. - was a bit disappointed by the end screen...
33 satellites  quite fun game. well done!
Very fun game, I enjoyed it a lot! Difficulty was fine for me, only 168 deaths to beat the game :) The game mechanic was really cool and showed its best side in the boss fight. I would suggest to lower the volume of the 'death sound' (thank god I didn't used headphones...)
@call-me-nutty well, I accidently pressed 'space' in the first level for quite some time before I noticed that 'space' was not the button for jumping (death counter increases rapidly when you keep 'space' pressed) >.< so subtract quite a number of deaths from my initial number of deaths
Fantastic art, feels very polished and on top! I agree with others that gameplay could get an improvement, but you can be proud of what you've created in 3 days. Would fit perfectly for an app :) Our game has a similar take on the jam theme, that's why we were especially interested in your game.
I played it yesterday, but had problems to post a comment here, so here it is: Pretty fast-paced. I lost several times in easy mode after about 40-50 days before I realized how the upgrade system works and food is pretty difficult to keep over 0. In the beginning I was a bit confused about all the shrinking values, but it makes sense after one gets the game mechanic. Nicely adapted the theme! My highscore: only 142 days on easy :P
I had to laugh a lot about that (win) ending, didn't expect that :D But that one person was impossible to serve... so I gave him 4 times the same dessert. Theme was very well adapted, I like it!
I agree to @marmpa , the gun behaviour killed me, and the enemies should slow down when you're in the shop. But nice graphics and idea, maybe change the hitbox, sometimes I could have sworn Chrome did not touch me! :D
I managed to build the rocket in 2093 with my fourth try. Visually top, it would be cool if something happens in the city when one applies an effect (particles, soundeffects, etc.)
There was one thing that bugged me in my other tries: I noticed that the upgrade system did not work as intended. The signs say something like '(+30 % with next lvl)' but when you buy an upgrade the value from before gets **multiplied by 30 % = 0.3** (instead of by 1.3 for an increase). For example: Chemtrails 8.0% death reate * 30% = 2.4% death rate for the next lvl. This way all 'upgrades' are in fact downgrades. I then simply decided to buy no upgrades anymore and I was able to beat the game. Maybe this was also an issue for @jk-studio , @heidelbert
Neat puzzle game, the dialogue and humor was on spot. I really liked this one. Note: I noticed some graphical bug, where there flashed something like a grid every 10-20 seconds over the screen (anyone else?)
I GOT IT! Although I often felt like I was cheated because the double jump did not work in every place I wanted it to work :P Nice work!
Good start, I liked the music and how the main character always smiles. Nice walking/fighting animation your game just needs some greater goal than fighting and collecting loot. I'm definitely curious what the game will look like in the future... Oh, and I think you mispelled the title: 'Jesus the adventurer' :P mikey.PNG
"Why are you pushing me?! I didn't invite you!" 10 out of 10, not enough party people (high score 660 here)
my top score: 10 rooms  maybe add something like a sprint button, with limited time one can push that button? would make the game more tactical.
Thank you all for the great response! We're really happy you like it! @nishinoya , @griz We had indeed plans to do multiple levels and goals to achieve, but we had to focus on this one level and finish it, also we were all new to Unity and 3D-Modelling :) @call-me-nutty the mouse is one problem we will fix in the coming days, we forgot to hide it and stuff.
Again thanks a lot!
Again, thank you all very much for the great response! It is a joy for us to read such nice comments on our game!
@kruemelkeksfan (1) there are several ways to get on the train, all depending on different things like which wagon you choose etc. It is "easily" possible to get into any wagon, it is just up to the player which strategy he decides on. (2) Well, what if I told you these are not your steps? :O It is clearly the echo of someones steps on the bottom of the void your falling in, someone who also fell into the void but reached the end. An ancient story which is known in the 7:30-am-universe as 'The Tale of the one who had no fear of the void'. A story which is told for generations to travellers and commuters serving as a spark of hope.
Very nice game idea, music fits very nicely, best mood. Well done! One suggestion: I think randomly generated personalities could improve this game. But even in its current state one of my favorites of this jam.
