I didn't quite understand how to play. Quite hard to get the gist of how the mechanics work. Loved the soundtrack!

What a great Idea! One of those things that's been in the back of my mind for a very long time has been to put the player in the perspective of the follower (of the hero), you did just that, I felt like I was playing a helper to a diablo character.
I really liked the idea here, I think you did a great job of making it feel like a more polished short game. Though I really missed some music in there and sound effects to give life to the people. Good job with the tutorial as well, that needs a special mention.
Love the painting! Like the idea too, though the gameplay might be a little too simple
Nice game!
Some issues I had were that the hit collider for the small lemons were larger than the actual graphic and the death of the large lemons had a few frames of idle before it die (so it's hard to tell if it's dead or not). I feel a few power ups would improve the game significantly. The spawn rate could increase even faster, as it feel quite slow in the beginning for this type of game.
Very nicely done. I get that most games are really short, but I actually ended up playing this for a while! Missed opportunity with sound effects, the increase spawn and cannons could really lend itself nicely to some very very simple and short blast sfx sounds. I did like the music however
I wish there were some more gameplay mechanics here, it feel it plays too much like just matching skills with clients. Which is essentially just trying to remember numbers.
fatal error every times the wolf attacks me. But I watched your video, and I really like this type of game (almost like project zomboid), it was really ambitious of to try it. I would like to point out though that the music was very low, you should really look into if you have any options for normalizing audio (compressors, limiters etc).
@antoined73 No, you did nothing wrong. You basically started "level 2" (there are 4 levels in total). We have not made it clear that you are retelling the story (though there are subtle hints), and it was one of our late concerns that we didn't get time to clarify.
@lukewaffel Thank you so much! Can't wait to get home from work and try out some of the other games for myself. Yes, we are definitely aware of the camera issues, it's been on the bug list since early Saturday, but was one of those "pick your poison" issues, where it got que'd down (because it was sorta working) until there was no more time left.
@antoined73 Yes, absolutely. Definitely a case of getting blinded by working at micro level here. The simplest solution would obviously just radically changing or adding a few props at the spawn on level 2. But didn't (don't) want to touch anything code related after deadline had passed... Not sure how the rules are regarding that, this is our first Ludum.
Okay, that was incredibly hard! Like the others mention, it was really dark. I think one solution would be to have a very soft point light attached to the player so you'r never really in black.
Omg, you made a cinematic before endscreen! Character controls were a bit static for an "action" type game, but really cool.
This is absolutely screaming for some music and sound effects! But I liked the game, was fun playing
I also had some problems understanding the controls, and generally what what going on in the beginning But overall really impressive
Really cool game, got such an Elasto Mania vibe from playing it. Was really difficult though, hiding the timer mechanic with a fuel bar. Not sure if randomly generated levels really lent itself to the gameplay, while really cool, I (personally) feel like part of the gameplay style like this is feeling the accomplishment of learning the levels and retrying until you "finally get it right". Thumbs up with the music, haha!
