Hi. Looks like the link to your game is broken: itch.io gives error 404.
Hey your link is invalid. I would love to try some rhythm game as I have been very hooked with these kind of games and wanted to make one for myself
I would have recorded me experiencing your game but..yeah it seems the link is broken x_x well, crap
Nooooo. Wait lemme check
Oops! I forgot to publish the link. It was saved in drafts
Heyyy I just checked out the visualizer, its *very* flickery, to a point that it hurts visually. But thats only in the beginning when the song is warming up, in the middle the flickering goes away a little bit. I think adding a buffer would definitely help smooth out the changes in size of the boxes, lessening the flickering effect. I really like music visualizers and it's very nice to see one in this LD jam. Keep it up!
PS Idk if you have heard about the music game jam but I think you might be interested in. It's on itch.io and will start in 10 days. You have 2 weeks to work on your game too so you will have plenty of time to do whatever you want to do xD.
@nam-nguyen Thanks for your critical feedback. Actually, I figured out this beater after a long while. I wanted to make one in the previous jam but couldn't. Now I've accomplished it and will make adjustments to it with some fixes and make my future games in this
@velocity7 Great to hear! See you in the next LD with your improved beater!!
Interesting. Very good choice of songs :)
@adonisdevs glad you liked it
Great game! Very cool and interesting! :D
Hey! I was sad I didn't really have the opportunity in the rating scheme to vote for the animation, which I thought was awesome, I especially like what you did with how the background responds to the rhythm section. I had a lot of fun... Where did you get the music? Sounds like the kind of stuff I could find a use for in future projects.
Pretty cool submission! While I'm sure people would love to discuss whether this is a game or not, I am just pleasantly surprised and refreshed by something different. The visual stimulation feels very nice. Would I be correct in assuming you used Keijiro's "Reaktion" or maybe the Koreographer asset to achieve those animations or did you code the entire thing yourself?
I didn't understand your theme presentation, but i love art style :3
@erikiene That's the real deal bro. I made it myself. And its generic. That's why I added pitch changer which u can do at your end by clicking the mouse buttons. Try it
@danielpancake no its not a game buddy
@goffmog SoundCloud Dj Stirden
@velocity7 - damn, sorry I missed that in the description. It's awesome! 4th track pitched down - muy bien. I have no idea how this would be coded in the first place, but I'm sure it's a big effort, so great work on doing it on such a short timespan.
@velocity7 i understanf, but still cool
@erikiene believe me bro, I just added tweens on the basis of Loudness ;) and its super easy
Fun to mess around with! From what I read you will use it later, I'd love too see this in a game!
@kiirohanabi I'll try my best LOL

Looks pretty cool and neat idea, but it's not a game...
@azura I mentioned that already in the description bro
release a web version please if possible
@folex70 good idea
I like it; it is simple but fun to tinker with. Although it is not a game, the little interaction you added made me engaged for a while longer than I initially expected. I was wondering what the clicks did till I realized the affect the speed but I think it is better to mention it in the game or on the LD page. I think more methods of interaction can make the users more engaged (may be give the user some drum and snares or some sound filters to control). However, If you plan to keep it as a visualizer only then it is good as it is.
Interesting idea! I would agree that more ways to interact would be good, such as different tracks that you can toggle on and off for drums, guitar, etc. Another thing that would be good is to import your own songs rather than just the songs that come with it. If you want inspiration, google did something very similar. Check it out here: https://experiments.withgoogle.com/webvr/inside-music/view/ They obviously have a bigger budget and different goals, so you have some room to make yours unique. Great job on the execution!
Cheers! - The Koala Squad
@koala-squad and @yetman thanks for your suggestions guys. I'll keep on working on this project HOPEFULLY! Maybe I'll make it a game someday
Graphics, Audio and Mood were your strong suit. Unfortunate, you didn't include them in your ratings at first. Nevertheless, I re-rated it :)
I'm depressed
"Nothing is available for download yet" I wanted to try but there's nothing to download at itch.io ?
@shakedimus u can download now
Cool visualizer. Looks clean, works with the beat properly, nice music! Would be cool if you added more controls to manipulate the music, but still a cool visualizer! Btw what did you use to create the music? I'm always hungry for a good music program!
@larryseinfeld I didn't creat the music. I developed the visualizer that detects clip loudness of the audio source and gave that value to dotween in unity. You can get the git project from its video on youtube called "unity beat detector" by Bos Ceo
Was pretty nice also would have liked more controls with the sound but had some fun! :D well done
The visauls are pretty nice.the combination of rings colors is charming and the musics in it is really cool But if only i could open my own musics in it 🙄
Hey man, nice work on getting audio working with the visuals. It's always cool to see people explore an area of programming that gets me excited. Keep experimenting and growing.
That being said, there's a couple things I think you need to know.
1) If you want people to rate your game, you need to rate OTHER people's games. Posting all over the front page will just get on people's nerves. You've received twice as many ratings as you've given, so you've got some work to do.
2) You need to attribute people when you use their music. The first 4 tracks are mine. I don't know who created the rest (you've only mentioned DJ Stirden, but there could be more). I appreciate that you enjoyed my tracks enough to want to include them, but if you wanted to use my tracks you could have asked and we could have had a conversation about it. Using them without asking and, furthermore, not crediting me is pretty rude.
3) I understand the difficulties in getting audio visualization working, and I know that it feels like your programming should count toward the audio rating since audio is such a critical part of your project. But without adequately disclaiming what YOUR effort was in the process, it feels dishonest to accept ratings for audio and, given that it hasn't been adequately disclaimed, you really need to opt out of the category.
I don't want to come across as being rude or aggressive, because I don't think you intended to be selfish or understood just how problematic it is to use other people's work like this. I get that you learned a lot of techniques during your LD process and feel like you want others to see the work you're proud of. I also know that you're still learning the ropes of development so I'm not angry with you, but I think these are very important lessons for you to learn.
@atmospherium sorry bro. I just added this to see what people say about my visualizer. I'll add that credit on my page. Scott ratings, I'm trying my best to do that with work.
Cool visualizer, it is a little unclear exactly how input manipulates the pitch, but it looks nice. The music is also great!
Dude, come on, I've been nice about this whole thing. In the time it's taken you to write multiple "rate my game" posts over the last few days you could have rated multiple games, opted out of audio, or given credit to the people whose music you've stolen. It's clear you're not wanting to do any of that.
This is a community that's built on everyone helping each other out and it's clear that you want no part in that. You want everyone to check out YOUR visualizer, but you don't want to check out anyone else's projects. It's clear you want a high audio rating (your itch.io page claims it's YOUR music), but you don't care that none of it is yours. I've been giving you the benefit of the doubt so far, assuming you just didn't know any better, but it's clear you're being intentionally dishonest.
It's a shame when people like you try to game the system and ruin the experience for everyone else.
