I love the TD and the way to spend the ressources (and create them) is good The game is just a bit too slowly (for me) and the difficulty doesn't grow fast enough (for me again ^^)

Loved the style, cool concept. Keep going!
Nice game. I really liked the graphics.
You should probably make it harder, as it was not that hard to beat.
Still, good job mate!
Cool game overall with good graphics and gameplay.
Some few ideas to improve it: * the waves begin before you end the previous one, maybe make each wave a bit harder but make them begin clearly separately * the upgrade of the castle is a double click on the upgrade and not a drag and drop, update the tip when the castle upgrade is selected * maybe make a way to destroy turret you have built: some places are strategic and you want to place your best turret and, once you placed your archers here you at the beginning, you can't change it (alternatively, you can tell the player that turrets placed can not be changed) * on the victory screen, it told me I could try again to see how far I can make but I already made it to the end, that's a bit odd ^^
good job overall :)
Nice game, and nice to see full games (SFX, music, some animation, main menu...) even if they are simple. Good job man, liked it! :D
This is a really cool game! The concept is very innovative, the way you really have to think about whether or not it's worth it to get each building and consider what's more valueable.
The graphics may be simple, but they're pleasant and artistically cohesive. They are reminiscent of classic Runescape, at least according to someone who never played that.
The music may just be one looping track, but it's a good and fairly long one. It also has these really nice sound effects.
I find this very impressive, especially for being made in what appears to be your own Java engine. Very cool. This is a good example of how to scope your project appropriately to a short deadline.
It would have been nice if the enemies had health bars and if there were some indication of from where the enemies would come next, but I understand that even just implementing the bare minimum is tough in a game jam.
This really deserves more ratings, but to get that, you really need to start rating more games yourself. Why not give mine a go? ;P It has a web build! (It takes a while to load, but it will start.)
I will recommend this game on the Discord server.
Nice job, I really liked the concept, I think that it has a lot of potential, maybe you could start sacrificing your own towers or something like that, or maybe your houses could start spawning more citizens and the towers needs like a lot of them, like 100 sacrifices or something like that. I think that this game could be a very good game if you keep working on it. Nice work
Really good idea, and pretty well executed. I just missed some health information of my enemies, is hard to see if they are dying or not.
This idea has a lot of potential, I'd like to see more of it!
Very solid entry for one person. Nice graphics and audio (but I disliked the lightning tower sound). It took me some time to figure out I have to upgrade castle to be able to build more houses. Health bars for the enemies would be nice and I had a little bit a problems being unable to destroy / override my own towers, but I made it anyway. Good job!
Nice change on the usual castle defence concept, I had fun! If you would spend some more time on it I think it would be a really nice game. THe music was futting and the animations when sacrificing people was satisfying. I think the fact you need to build houses really adds a new dimension to this type of game. Graphics were fine. THe only thing that was a bit trange is that you have to drag a building to build it and that first clicking on a building then on a space (with releasing the mouse) doesnt work to build something. Aside from that minor control flaw, a really fun game experience.
I like this game because I always love tower defends. Very well done for a game made without Unity/Unreal Engine !

Hey, nice game!
I was curious about this game since I saw the screenshot in the feed. The graphics look well done and the detailed particle effects are some eye candy here! :-) Also the animation of the humans flying away was good - almost a bit sad which added to the somewhat dark atmosphere of the game. For me the difficulty of the game was high in the beginning but dropped pretty fast and as soon as I was able to build lightning towers, the enemies **stood no chance anymore**. Maybe more enemies shall be spawn? Also, is it possible to remove already built towers? I built a lot of archery towers and wanted to replace them with better ones later on in the game.
Thank you for making this game!
Quite solid entry! Simple mechanics, I saw where the theme fit in, and the game itself played smoothly. Congrats!
Finally a TD! :) Thanks for making it! One suggestion: Maybe the building placement would be better with click-to-activate placement, another click to place. That's how it is used in RTS games.
Nice game, although a bit hard. Well done.
Nice tower defence game, defeated it on the first go! Music set down a good mood :) Control wise I had a little problem with the drag & drop (why not click & click?) but got used to it. Also, is it not possible to delete buildings? I finished the game with mostly just wooden towers, because I could not remove them. A simple 'upgrade' when building over an existing tower would have been an easy solution there. Overall, a nice cohesive feel. :)
Good job on the graphics, there, they look simply neat. :)
The only concerns I have is that the attack of the towers is not very clear (as in, when they will attack or where) and not being able to see the enemy's health at all makes it hard to estimate if you'll need more towers or not.
The game is rather easy as it is, and while I thought it could use a way to remove towers, I think it'd be even easier if they could be removed. :P
Nice job!
Thanks all for taking the time to notice my game and thanks for a the feedback. I suspect I will continue this game and make it a proper Tower Defense game in the future.
Why do your files timestamp shows 5h after the jam end?
Because I uploaded a version of the game that did not run and had to fix it after I noticed the bug at startup of the game.
I liked it a lot ! However it felt like i was never running out of citizens haha
