Very fast paced and hectic game, I did enjoy it but the music did feel a bit grating and the control scheme confused me a bit, especially with no tutorial. The art looked quite nice, and I liked how each level had a unique weapon, that really gave an incentive to keep playing - well done!

Loved the frenetic gameplay! Great work. Had a fun time destroying all those turrets. The sound design is perfect with the overall feeling. Congratulations!

Having a new weapon every stage kept it fun. I loved how enemies jumped through windows and everything kept exploding. Kept it fast and fun.

The controls were a bit hard to get at start, but then I had a blast. It looked kind of simple, but thene there was multiple mechanics that worked against the enemies, like ducking and shooting that I needed to figure out along the way, which was great. Good job!
All of the special effects were great! The art was unique, and I liked it. I think it would've been a lot more intuitive if jump was on the up arrow and crouch was on the down arrow, but maybe you were trying to go for an arcade feel. I didn't realize how the ghost mechanic worked at the start, but once I got that down, it made the game easier. Before that, I think the difficulty curve was pretty steep. The music and sound effects fit the game really well.
Nice work!
(Edit) Oops! I just realized you explain the spirit mechanic on the game description haha.
@Theamerican Thank you for playing my game and its great that you enjoyed the game!I did initially put the crouch button on the down arrow key but it proved to be a bit hard to crouch and shoot upwards!(the up arrow key). But I didnt put any animation for the direction you're shooting so its my bad!
@frozen-stick Ahhhhh! I didn't realize you could shoot upwards! That makes more sense, thanks :)

That's a very fat paced platformer shooter game! I just rushed my way through my jumping and keeping the shoot button pressed! Greato Jobu!

I like the gameplay mechanics and the simple but effective pixel art. I do think the game is a bit too difficult, mostly since the enemies shoot at you from far off screen and it's easy to get trapped under a hail storm of bullets that don't end.

Very nice! I really enjoyed this. The game played quick and hard, and the pixel art was well done. I really liked the spirit mechanic, I find that sort of thing interesting. It reminds me of the game GoNNER. One complaint I do have is that for most level I just ran past all of the enemies, which I don't find particularly interesting. All in all, great job!
@frozen-stick Hello, could you add a Mac version of your game?
@juice-lizard Hi!Sadly I have no Mac devices to test this game so I figured it would be better if I don't release one at all.Although I will try to add one :)
I would like to try the game, but unfortunately for now I have to report a bug instead. I'm trying it on Windows 10, and I can't get passed the start menu. I can more up and down, but I can't select anything using any button or the mouse.
I played the original version. Here are some thoughts in random order. They might be out of date by now.
- Audio-visually consistent, even if not in a style I prefer - Shootery madness! Not enough madness maybe, but it is close - The shotgun cannot be used while crouched. other weapons can - Input redundancy needed. Down should crouch as well as C - There is no easy way to close to program (even alt+F4 fails) - The last minigun level bugged out and the character was spawned right next to the escape door - The enemies can shoot outside of the screen, but the player cannot! - Wall and ceiling turrets with erratic bullet patterns are are OP - The health system required some experimentation to figure out. It would make sense to me, if the ghost could not be killed before it turned back into the dude. - The performance dropped drastically once in a section of the second level.
Continuing with the last point. Maybe something broke and spawned too many particles? The way to optimize this kind of a permanent blood effect is to create a huge, level sized, per pixel texture which is transparent at first, but gets updated by the each particle once it stops. This way the particle count stays low and the texture, while huge, has a constant draw speed. How to do this with GameMaker, though? I do not know.
Overall, good work!
@huvaakoodia Hello and thank you for playing my game and leaving feedback! -I wanted to make the shotgun ,the only weapon you can't use while crouching but that is changed now! -I will add the down arrow key as well thanks! -You can now actually close the game , The last level is fixed , some balancing in enemies and the performance issue has been fixed as well. But thank you so much for the feedback I'll hint everything you said !:)
@microchasm You can use the 'Z' button to select .It's in the 'read moi' text file :)
Interesting game man, I feel that the controls were a bit hard to get used to, found myself pressing the wrong controls a lot, I feel that the shoot and jump keys should be switched... feels a bit more comfortable that way? Also there were points where consecutive flashes happened out of nowhere, which kinda makes me wonder if the screen flashing is really necessary? Either way this was a neat little game, had some fun getting through the levels!

I enjoyed the graphics and how colors changed. I liked the lighting effects when someone died, very cool. The controls was quite hard to use, I constantly clicked wrong button. Maybe bind down arrow to crunch instead of (I think it was) X?

Hey so first up, really cool game, I love the style of it! To be honest though, I was having difficulty with this one, I got pretty far and then I believe the lives system booted me back to the start. I've got no clue what causes you to respawn or not, I think it's that you can't get hit as a ghost, but why do I sometimes die even if I'm not hit? So I thought I'd try to find an easier way through the stages and well... It turns out you can beat all of the stages by holding the forwards and shoot buttons. It's pretty trivial that way, you might want to add something extra that forces you to stop and take your time? Maybe something to encourage you to beat the enemies? Another issue I had was that I didn't know where my hitbox was, sometimes bullets would zip through my head without problem, but other times bullets would hit me?
Overall though, the game was awesome, and I love the visual style of it all. It really is a blast of colour to the eyes, which is awesome for the action gameplay. Awesome music too, and I love the variation in the enemies and levels. It all looked and felt very cool! Congrats on your game!
Really nice :) GFX is not so good as it can be, but game is very addictive. Good work!

I’ve lost confidence in the voting system... Your game looked, sounded and felt amazing, but still didn’t make top 1000? I call shenanigans, this game should’ve scored so much better... Anyways, I wish you all the best for future projects, don’t let this score get you down!
