Really awesome game! Biggest thing to improve would be the movement

Really awesome game! Biggest thing to improve would be the movement
The starting puzzle is really cool!
Really nicely done. I love the whole aesthetic. The particles are brilliant, and I love the shaky effect when you click.
The movement feels really nice, so does the UI. Overall the game feels great to play. It's really tricky, the first puzzle game I have seen on the jam. I love the way you used the theme!
As a huge fan of chess, this is such an incredible idea. Good job!
The music is incredible! Also, I love the fact that you've used a really simple mechanic to make such a great game that is intuitive to understand yet difficult to execute. Great design!
Really loved the way you interpreted the theme, it's the cleverest interpretation I've seen yet!
The art is really nice, and the music is also fitting
I appreciate there's a limited scope with game jam games, but a cool way to expand would be to have more interesting things happen when you play in the wrong order
Not able to play right now but I just had to mention the art looks completely stunning
The atmosphere this creates is so spooky I love it! Very solid endless runner.
This game is awesome! Why haven't more people played it, such an innovative clicker. I also did a clicker but it's more conventional. Great entry! BIG CUBE
This is a fantastic game...
Everyone else has already said it, but fantastic retro aesthetic.
Really awesome game. So cool that you made it without an engine. I love the entire aesthetic, and I like how it meets the theme. I managed to get the second altar then I got a weapon but after wandering around for a while I wasn't sure how to progress anymore.
Coolest overall game I've played from the jam so far!
@copito I thought that was intentional! The dodging was super fun and made it really intense, it was my favourite aspect of the game actually.
Really love the atmosphere and mood! Super impressive given your lack of Unity experience.
Really beautiful atmosphere (or lack thereof!)
Cool, I like the spherical gravity :)
@twinturbodouche Thank you for the kind words :))
@jimbly I'm glad you got the references! Thanks for your review :)
WebGL may be lighter, or it could be also to do with I spent wayyyy too much time yesterday on optimisation. Or both!
@tygrak it's a book reference :) image search "Dune sandworm"
@bobotast @askingquestions I'm glad you guys enjoyed it :))
@kristinamay You were the chosen one! It was said you would save the tribes, not destroy them!
@simonl I'm glad you liked it! Unfortunately, there is no end screen. I was very time-pressured while making this as I restarted on Saturday afternoon because my original idea was totally rubbish, and for this one I ended up prioritising the overall art and feel and neglected gameplay too much unfortunately. I think your score is the highest I've seen so far!
I totally agree that the end screen is needed, and I was worried players would end up thinking there was more content after the world becomes ocean, and get confused.
Dune is an absolutely fantastic series, I hope you continue with it. Currently I'm partway through reading God Emperor.
@humphreysmedia Thanks for your great feedback :) I'm glad that you found the game intuitive to play, and I am honoured that you would compare the art style to Shovel Knight! This is actually my first time doing any sort of graphics, and I'm super pleased with how it turned out.
Really fun game dude, found myself playing for way longer than I intended to. As others have said, audio would make this game massively more engaging.
Looks cool, unfortunately I found I just didn't know what I was supposed to be doing.
Really cool aesthetic
Awesome clicker game! I made one too, as you saw, but I like how yours is far more active (and well paced).
The only criticisms that stuck out to me were that sometimes UI elements would overlap, for example it would show my GPS while I was looking at upgrades, as well as the fact that there is no need for the jump mechanic.
Had fun playing it and played for lots longer than I intended to
I really like the graphical style and the music is great too!
It's really fun, and you did a really good job on the balancing.
Really love the look, unfortunately I'm too dumb to get even the first level though

Love the snappy controls
Congrats on doing your first jam! This was my first too. It's impressive that you did it without an engine, as far as I can tell. The music is also nice :)
Fun take :)
This is super fun! It wasn't super intuitive, but once I figured it out I had a great time. Will definitely revisit another day.
This game was absolutely fantastic. The voice acting was incredible, the level design was perfect, the controlling the gun was really innovative and an interesting mechanic. I had a lot of fun and was determined to beat the game. RIP Cat Dad.
The atmosphere of this game was very well done, the post processing was nice. I really like particularly the player character and his animations. I didn't use them but I think it is cool you added controller support, I think this game would play better with a controller. If you want some more critical feedback, I think the platforming felt a little stiff, could do with the character being lighter and faster. I appreciate there's not much time in an LD game, however it would also be nice for the look of the levels to feel a little more polished than blocks of colour. Overall, an enjoyable experience to play.
Very awesome game. A lot of fun. The biggest issue for me was snakes from behind that I felt it was unreasonable to have to predict, since the player can't move the camera independantly from the lizard. Very funny run animation
Your web build is broken! Fortunately I tried the download as well. It was a cool game, the graphics looked fantastic, the music was pretty cool but some of the sound effects felt off. I was a bit confused as to what to do at first since the robots are so far away from where the player starts. A small note: it would be nice to have some UI graphic to show whether or not the lobster is toggled. I love the lobster, great game overall.
The music was very good, the concept was nice, unfortunately the music bugged out a little sometimes. Great game overall.
It was a very nice idea and use of the theme, could do with a little more content and some sound.
@blobo that was the inspiration actually!
Thanks so much for your kind words! @soulcube @pixipit @somethang123 @catalystl @miklo @tuulosss
I'm glad you liked it @tomyomy !
@lairinlair thanks for your feedback! I did the music in a rush, I agree that it is too short and repetitive!
@hiremedeveloper thank you!
@junber thanks for your feedback! I agree, the hitboxes are bad. We didn't leave enough time for playtesting, a big regret. However, we are working on a post-jam version of the game which will actually be released on the Google Play store, as we think this game suits mobile way better than PC!
@inflamedgums yeah.... that bug is fixed in the post-jam version hahaha
Fairly fun and cute game! The music was pretty nice. A couple of glitches you may have missed: Hit boxes are dodgy sometimes so it's possible to clip into walls, and also when you release a mushroom it grows indefinitely, resulting in hilariously tall mushrooms! :)
I thought the concept was great, and a very imaginative application of the theme. Unfortunately I think gameplay suffered a lot, largely because of the unnecessarily huge map.
Fantastic game, very well made. Slightly dodgy practises, lmao. Also, there is no restriction on the length of your characters name and I think that caused some bugs.
The graphics looked great, also it looks as though you might have used your own game engine, which is very impressive. Especially Ben's character looked fantastic in my opinion. Small notes: there should be an option to increase the dialog text speed, and also if you use Pythagoras for the movement then diagonal movement speed will be normalized. Great game overall :)
The G Drive file was deleted!
Nice game with cute graphics. Enjoyed the premise, would be nice if expanded and a small note is that I think the character moved a bit too slowly
Absolutely beautiful game, I loved the sentiment of the "story". It's such good quality, only problem is the length. However, you had three days to make this, and it is clear that quality was prioritised over amount of content. This game was a great experience, even the itch.io page looks incredible.
Awesome game, one thing I would suggest is a highscore, or at least to display to the user their score upon death. Really fun and addicting!
Incredible game! It's very cute and atmospheric. Love the premise, even the little opening sequence was very nicely done. The ONLY problem (for me at least), is that the font is a little hard to read at small sizes. This is a game I won't be uninstalling.
Very great game. The atmosphere is great, and the level design is too. I loved the fact that every stage of the egg introduced a new game mechanic. One thing it looks like you missed is that when the character faces backwards then the info gets reversed too, e.g the key prompts. Other than that easy to miss mistake, fantastic game.
Very great game, I loved the graphics particularly. The animation was quite cute and I'm a big fan of the isometric pixel-art style. My main gripe is that the mechanic of running around getting the crates gets old pretty quickly. I like the level gen, always a fan of procedural.
The controls were fun and I loved the shine of the planets! Score: 529
Loved the atmosphere, beautiful graphics and music
@fabdynamic I will absolutely get that done for you! while I'm at it I might comment on some of the code too hahaha, thanks so much for your kind words!
A bit late to the party but this game is fantastic
