I like it a lot! Had fun playing, it was even better after I got used to the hitboxes. Love how trippy it is, music is a perfect fit, the simplicty of the graphic make this game aesthetically pleasing. Good job!:)

Ofcourse I didnt read the description and thought that I have to avoid those ghosts (souls). They looked like enemies to me. I love the overall psychodelic mood of the game. The moment when the walls turned green and percussion samples hit gave me goosebumps. Too bad I am not able to hear the whole soundtrack because it starts over every time I die. I was also impressed by how you made a 3d environment out of 2d sprites. It looks gorgeous. Great game!

Love the graphics! Feels like it would be a really fun game to have on my phone with a bit more polish. The hitboxes did feel a little bit too punishing, or maybe I'm just bad. :D

really loved that entry, got 198 after hitting the slicy metal twice in a row :( hats off to a theme really well respected, great graphics and audio, solid controls as well. Funny thing is that after playing your game for a few minutes, I looked at your game screenshot and my eyes were being tricked into seeing the character move even though the image was still :)

@para-no thanks for the positive comment! The trippiness was a side effect and the music took a couple of hours from coding. I'm glad it was worth it. Had lots of fun with your game! leaved a comment there

@axelrinaldo You should try the postjam fixes I did, just some little fixes to the hitboxes, difficulty progression and make it bigger con phone. Cool sub game!

@pvp Thanks for the comment, one way to be sure about when tou're gonna get hurt is when the layer isn't covered by the darkness/gas/cloud/fire. Congrats with the delivery game, got to the 3rd package

I really liked the game, it was fun to play. The only thing that I had difficulty with, is the hitbox of the side. What I mean here, is that it's quite difficult to understand at which depth you are, and when you are going to be hit. Is this only when the image is at the top layer ? two are three layer down ? (As @xcvzxc said, I also thought that you needed to avoid the ghost/soul/tornado, so, maybe, if you want to improve it, change a litlle of the design, or help the player to understand that they are friendly) Either way, I enjoyed it, and the game was really immersive, with the music, and the graphics. <3

Loved it! Lots of fun playing it and an instant "feels good to play" feeling while sticking really well with the theme. Pretty funny with how the animations and sound effects work together.

Very challenging but enjoyable with nice & trippy graphics! Maybe lower the sensitivity and add a second delay to the first obstacles would help a bit. Overall great job!

@kevin-meissner Maybe you're playing original entry mobile version? I recommend you to try the post-compo fixes, one of them is bigger mobile resolution: https://macdoom.itch.io/hell-diver-post-compo. Fun game! got to the 6th floor.

@jeffez The ghost/soul/tornado muted to a happy/angel/bean. It'll be great to have feedback on that new sprite. About the outer hitbox depth: the colored layers were supposed to help but I'm considering a Zaxxon like meter. I'm open to suggestions :smile: Thnks for your comment! @xcvzxc Effectively I lowered a lot the difficulty to the Hell zone, changed the soul sprite and corrected a bug that made a demon strike at the beggining in the post-compo version. I assure you the game is completely beatable and with an ugly yet revealing surprise at the end!

@kirbloid Nice comment! It's a big deal to me the integration of the different aspects of the game. I'm glad you liked it. I see you care a lot too! Your game has great atmosphere and sure is deep in various layers. Congratulations!

@hpa97 The sensitivity was tried various times to get an average. I suggest little taps if you're playing on phone. With a keyboard is easier. You're absolutely right about the obstacle delay! Corrected on the post-compo version.

@webox Thanks for the compliments! If you're playing with touch controls try with little taps. Boobieplants leave more space than it could seem. Congrats for you original puzzle root game. *Had* to play it to the end. Great level design.

@Bamallama Tilt controls is going on the way... if I make it work right of course. Thanks for the suggestion. A friend of mine told me the same some hours ago. Nice visual novel! It seems I make *terrible* decisions

@oc1d The concept came right away after reading the theme. That made me participate and commit my weekend solely for the jam. Great graphics upgrades are planned for the future. COOL GAME MAN! Looks superb and laser harpoons are always welcome!

Fun game with a simple concept but well executed. And I only played the Compo version not the updated variant. I did not realise the ghosts were healing until I got hit buy accident by one

@axeltherabbit There it is an end just a little further in the Hell zone near the 200s. Thnks for the art style comment, eventually I'l take the necessary time to work them as they should. Cool game! Paper graphics are cool.

That is a simple game, yet everything is quite well made. Graphics are creepy but cool, the 3D effect works really well, the music that add instruments as you go deeper is really cool, and the gameplay itself is simple, but the inertia the character has makes the game really challenging. That's a great compo entry !

Me eyes were whirlpooling after I quit your game! This deep here is quite toxic but addictive. However, wouldn' recommend to jump deep for too long, unless impaired sight is a perspective (joking). One of the best games among swim-through-the-abyss games' genre. Thanks for no realistic bone crushing blood spurting sfx.

Really cool idea! I didn't have too much success with any of the control means. The movement felt a little sensitive, and the wall bounce seemed guaranteed to kill you regardless of your health. I really liked the graphics, concept, and theme interpretation though! Great job!

(P.S. Is he saying "dad" when he gets hit? Lol!)

Nice! I like the creepy aesthetic you've gone for, a big Nidhogg + Ghouls 'n' Ghosts. I got right into the game and figured out what was going on without any instructions, which is good :)

I found it a little hard to gauge when obstacles were past my person, as the perspective seemed a little weird. Probably something that could have a visual aid, but I'm not sure how! Or I might just get used to it...

I like how the music develops as you progress, but stays relentless. Nice work!

Hey! Woow! I spent some time on this one! My highest score is 152:) I love the music in this game. Cool graphics and animation of the falling character:) The only thing I would tweak a bit are those obstacles coming on different layers, some of them are very hard to avoid (They look sometimes like you've already passed them). Besides this, great work!!!

@fueelin JAJA, it doesn't say "dad", is like an "ayayay" (I'm from Chile) but I deformed the audio to make it more ambiguous. Couldn't play your game :( some kind of runtime error appeared

The visual style's neat, but it looks much worse than it could've due to the pixel interpolation. I'd disable that if I were you.

Really cool... I love the graphics and the layered scaling effect you've got going on there. Along with the music it's a pretty trippy experience. I like the slow acceleration of the player, though it wasn't always clear where a collision would occur - I had to just get used to how close the obstacles were going to get to gauge where I needed to be. That said, I actually think it may have been a little too easy... that let me play longer which is cool for the vibe of the game, but it may have had more of a 'one more try' impulse if the gamplay was a little more frantic. Loads of fun though, great entry.

I liked the mood, music, and art. It wasn't entirely clear how big an area the smoke spitters would affect though so I died trying too hard to avoid them.

@joe40001 Thanks for the comment. I found that the best way to avoid that obstacle is going on the space 45° from the tip. Great puzzle game of yours. Super clever level design!
