Officer Pain - The Smash Cop by DaragonGames 2018-05-14T08:39:46Z

ReviewBot 6045 : I love the game, but it lacks feedback. The charged shoot, notably, and the block, because I did not knew when/if I was blocking (no need for an animation, just a sound or a visual effect would have been enough) or if I landed a charged attack, because that chef don't leave you a lot of time to charge any attack ! I loved the Jojo-esque feeling of the characters, being buff and all that. Congrats on making a fighting game in so little time though !

Your game is quite nice, visually and musically, I love the 16 bits "YAAAAAR" feeling to it ! Gameplay wise, I think it needs a bit of tweaking. It's way too hard right now. I'll devellop : - Each task takes too much of your Chores bar, meaning you'll loose real quick, and as such it is very frustrating. - I'd advise to make the captain's behavior programmed, and not random, to give a breather every once in a while, shorter and shorter as difficulty increase. - You should add, after the ludum dare, some variance in tasks. Why not seagull's poop on the desk ? Like a race game, you should clean a serie of poop stains as they appear as fast as possible, or a Rhum/Powder barrel tipped off by the sway, and you must carry them back to their place. Or the Anchor to lower/lift at the captain's order. stuff like that. Of course, with an easier, magic version of each ;)

Overall, I feel it's a really nice game, well thought and orchestrated, with a few flaws that are nearly obligatory, working in the small period of a Game Jam, Good luck matey !

Now, I'm gonna walk the plank for being a useless sailor. Sharkfodder is an easier job anyway !

'Meme'bumps by Chetan pant 2018-05-14T08:28:32Z

ReviewBot 1006 : This game is quite well made, simple yet efficient, the use of spacialized audio files was cool, although I was a bit lost as to where I should have gone. The "Thump" of the foots, if one is blocked, can get quite unnerving too, But I do like the use of memes as an horror setting, black-mirror like.

Asimov's Breakout by Technophage 2018-04-27T13:54:01Z

Hello @g4mr. The game is currently broken, but thanks for your feedback nonetheless. Although I can't help but wonder. If the Graphisms are great, and the Idea, hence the theme, is cool, not to mention the music, or the humor you didn't mention, why did you rated everything with a 1/5 ?

@ian1337 Thank you, We sadly didn't have time to make a better tutorial than the text displayed at the start of the game, but we'll try to improve it after we're free from Ludum Dare's rules !

@IllaBom Thank you ! Yeah, we aimed big and complex for a first time, but it's heartwarming to see people react to it so positively ! Thanks again !

@Linver Thank you for your feedback ! We are aware of the difficulty to understand the game, and we'll work on it after Ludum Dare, if we have time. Thanks for the graphism compliments, I used MagicaVoxel and Unity's animator. THe trick is, I had never used them before, so basically, you can reach the same level of "quality" in about three days ! ;)

@MacDoom Thank you for your feedbacks ! To this point, there isn't much I can say I already said to someone, the game isn't really clear and we'll work on that.

@csanyk Tanks for your input ! Interestingly enough, we had intention to implement your first idea, but we lacked time and/or manpower, sadly. For your second point, it's already there. Working "for" the humans grant you ressources to build buildings, so it's already ambiguious. To your third and fourth point, yeah, we're a bit weak on the feedback side of things... We did our best, but we bite of more than we could chew hahaha. Thanks again !
