Really fun! My main criticism is that the buildings need to be easier to differentiate from the road, as them being the same colour makes it difficult to drive. But once you get past that, I love the controls

@rustywolf Thanks! I totally agree, I've noticed that it might be a problem and left it "to be fixed later", but didn't make it in time. I'll fix that in post-jam updates, for now I'll change the color a bit, though ultimately I think I'll be replacing all sprites with something better than quick test sprites. :P That should fix this issue.
Simple but still driving feels cool.
Nice little game! Liked the instructions screen. Minimalistic graphics were quite stylish. I had some problems turning my car in the middle of the street, but overall i liked the game - gave me some old GTA2 vibes. My score were 10 by the way.)
Nice work! I'm always a fan of the grayscale color palette, and I thought the game was pretty readable despite that limitation. The controls felt a bit floaty to me, but that's personal preference. I'd love a way to see which packages go to which destinations in advance, so I can optimize my route accordingly. On a similar note, it might be cool if the player could pick up multiple packages at once, at the cost of reducing their speed or something. I think it'd feel super rewarding to plan a route with multiple packages, then deliver them all at once to rack up a bunch of deliveries at once.
@michael-darling Thanks! I'll be adding some light colors to it, but I do want to keep the color scheme rather simple and use muted colors. I wanted the controls to be a bit floaty to give that arcade feeling, maybe I've overdone it a bit. I definitely need to make braking better. :P
For the package/destination I was thinking about displaying package ID over both the package and its destination, but I'm not sure if that will be readable enough. I'll experiment with using some icons for that, since there aren't going to be that many packages on the map at the same time.
The multiple packages idea is something I thought about before, and I will implement it, though I'm not yet sure if it's going to be available from the start or as an upgrade to buy. I was thinking about making a shop and upgrade system, I even made sure I could easily change truck handling stats like acceleration, top speed and turning.
Fun little game !
The graphics are simple, but at least they don't make it hard to understand what's going on.
The control scheme did feel a bit too slow, especially because the truck doesn't slide against buildings much when at an angle or other situations where you need to reverse, it lost a lot of time for not much.
Turns out I preferred driving backwards, the way it behaves is similar but I found it made it feel better when taking corners, it might just be me, but I crashed a lot less this way.
I also wished I had an hand brake to quickly stop or turn around more easily.
The minimap was very helpful, though the icons could've been smaller as they hid the roads surrounding the parcels/drop off points.
I feel like the game in this state is a bit of a blank slate, as in the gameplay base is there, but it's waiting for something more to make it pop off.
Overall had fun still, my highscore was 19 packages delivered !
i like the minimalism, i wasn't confused by anything and if i were a better driver i'd have done great XD
Nice simple game, which reminded me of old GTA games a little bit. I would prefer if the car was turning a little bit more quickly to the sides, but no biggie. Braking felt great! Despite using just a few colors, everything is nicely visible, so, well done there!
Really enjoyed the feel of high-speed drifting around the city. The minimap was a little bit difficult to utilize, maybe make the icon for the player a more stand-out color so I can more quickly see where I am?
All in all great entry
Cool game gave me GTA vibes with some simple graphics but in a good way - it was easy to distinguish everything including the map, package locations and drop off points.
Missed music and sound effects but that didn't really get in the way of me having a great time with it for a while.
Loved how drift-y driving around felt while still feeling like I was in control.
One thing I think would have helped add to the driving feel was if the walls weren't so sticky when I hit them on a slight angle - would have liked it if the car slid more and corrected itself to the wall direction.
Really nailed the physics of driving a hulking real life truck from a top down view. Feels solid to play and navigate around the city while learning little ins and out of the driving to better take corners and nail some of those tough delivery points.
The gameplay is really simple, and the tutorial easily shows what you need to do. No complaints here, other than a bit of sound which would really help with the feel of the game. Keep it up!
Very cool submission! Was a great gameplay loop but definitely could have used some music and maybe some more cars on the road hindering you
I feel like this game would've benefited from slighly arcadier, more responsive handling. It's fun to take big turns when going at full speed, but trying to hit a package, recover from a crash, turn around, etc. is really arduous and kills the pacing. When it works, it works really well though.
Enjoy the irregular/maze-like map. Not too complicated but adds enough of a wrinkle to have to think about it.
Lost at 16 packages. It felt a bit long. Difficulty/pressure could probably ramp up quicker.
Visuals are very simple but clean. That goes for the whole game, I suppose - simple but clean. I enjoyed it. With slight tweaks to the handling, I'd enjoy it a whole lot more. Really solid entry!
Great game! So far this is my favorite of those "Car driving delivery" games. I really like the minimap and the simple art. Maybe a scoring system would be a nice addition and also having some NPC cars roaming around. It seems kinda hard to make a comeback and to catch up with all the packages, but as I mentioned, I really liked this one!
Liked the blueprint aesthetics and the trucks momentum. Tried to do something similar with mine but lacked of time. The feeling was so clean I felt refreshed after playing it. Nice game!
maybe i'm just bad at driving games but it felt like there was something odd going on with the steering & deceleration. regardless, cute & pure take on the delivery concept and well put together! also a bit odd to mention but i love the pause menu, it feels really nicely implemented!
Nice little game, it worked well - except i got stuck in corners a couple of times. But that could have been due to my driving skills
I like the minimalist aesthetic. The game felt a little sleepy though, with no music and nothing to give a sense of urgency beyond the abstract knowledge that there's a time limit. Having a visible timer counting down would help.
controls are quite awkward, would probably be easier to manage if the map rotated so that forward was always up. minimap can remain north south oriented.
