Very interesting concept
Nice game!
Beautiful little scene.
Beautiful game. Took me first game to realize what should I be doing and that I can upgrade my weapon. Plays really well and has nice mood and feel. Music seems to be stereo only in left part of the map.
@tiptoe thank you for playing our game and your feedback! we worried that the shop might go unoticed.. will check the sound
Art and music amazing, nice execution and the feeling and mood playing is great. Perhaps would have loved more SFX to give a bit of audio feedback on the various action the player was performing. Great job.
Very good game I liked it, the shop is not too noticeable, and takes a bit to build up, but I really like the game, another thing: All the audio in the game comes out of the left side of my headphones, and it made the audio sound weird at points, i'm not sure if this is just my headphones or not, but all in all great job you guys.
Nice game, nice polish and beautiful artwork. Some Sound design would be cool to increase the flow of the game. It would be nice to be able to stack the powers rather than replace them with the spell we just bought. Nice job tho :)
@nanoarch thank you very much for your feedback!! I will check it with @stuembi and try to fix the music problem.
Thank you all guys for those wonderful comments and feedback!!
Very nice art, nice animations and effects, and the shot is cute. Gameplay is a bit dull, and I was going to give up after the 2nd play, but then I saw the brimstone icon and I just HAD to get to 200 so I could see it. Really needs some sound effects, and as a fellow Godot dev I can tell that you put an AudioStreamPlayer2D on the top-left corner of the map for the music, while you should just use a plain AudioStreamPlayer, since the former is for positional audio.
I really liked the mood but the controls feel a little too floaty, not enough drag makes it difficult to grab collectibles and it's quite hard to aim with slow projectiles. Again it is probably a matter of tastes but I think it could have been a bit faster paced
Beautiful graphics! loved the overall feeling of the game. the difficulty ramp is a little low. Great job!
@730 thank you for playing the game and your feedback, we will try to fix our music problem asap.
As a fellow friend of isaac, we are happy you noticed brimestone and got your fun out of it. (i am a huge isaac fan )
The feels of this game is spot on! Loved that white bloom effect near the shrine! The controls and enemy movements I believe still need a bit of work but otherwise this game is really well made!!!
Nice game and artwork, but there were really big problems for me... UI was really buggy, couldn't exit the tutorial and restart game without refreshing the page. Also, sound only came out of the left earphone in a weird way, and lastly each time I cast a spell the game lagged terribly, making the game almost unplayable for me... looked really nice though.
@hillelgo thank you very much for your feedback! :) We will try to fix all those problems as best we can, the game is better playable if you download it.. but we will try to get it work on the website aswell.
thank you again for your feedback and maybe you will give it a try later :-).
Nice art and music!
I really liked the music too. It fit the style (graphics and color scheme) perfectly in my opinion. It lagged a bit for me, especially when "shooting", but that (surprisingly) didn't take much of the fun away. It was hard but not too hard, once i got used to the mechanics, I really liked the gameplay!
Very nice and pretty to look at! The game flowed smoothly and a lot of it made sense!
A few small quality of life changes could really improve the atmosphere (like shooting noises and sounds when enemies die/hit you), but other than that its an awesome game!
I really like the style of the game. It looks well rounded art wise, and you really made it feel alive with the animations. Maybe as a suggestiont, the crystal economy was not totally clear for me - i mean if some crystals are worth more. At first it was a bit disheartening in the sense of "ok, now i have to shoot these little guys 100 times?", but i was quickly up in gems, so probably the bigger ones give more. Maybe you could express this more easily by just having crystals that are worth one, but dropping 5 if appropriate? Would be visually very clear, without needing to double check the counter. And it looks nice, big loot :D Overall, really good. Reminded me a bit of Sword&Sworcery artwise, and the great watership down movie.
In short: quality audio-visuals, less than stellar controls, some technical issues.
You truly did a good job with the presentation and putting together a functional jam project. This is certainly up there in the top *something-something* quantile.
Moving around and shooting badies (and goodies? Where's the theme gone!) is very basic. Holding down the mouse button should autofire and some kind of a dodge move wouldn't go amiss. Grinding to get to the boss fight wasn't much fun, but **Death** put up a show at least. Pleasantly surprised about that.
The music didn't loop properly and the very last animation loop had an issue too (with the dude turning into a non-dude repeatedly). The initial spell has a neat trail effect, but the whole trail evaporates upon impact, which is jarring. That too would be easy to fix simply by waiting for some time before freeing the resource.
In all, despite the niggles, this is proper solid stuff.
@huvaakoodia & @rongo-matane
thank you so much that you took the time todo such a detailed feedback!! We will definitely try to fix those problems or do it definitely better next time! :) i really appreciate your honest comment!! All the best and a great ludumdare 😘
Really beautiful art & music ! The controls are nice too :) However I'd like to make a few remarks : - The first attack freezes my game temporarly when I click, which made the game kind of hard to play. Maybe you're instantiating too many game objects at once ? Not sure but maybe you should use object pooling instead for the attacks ^^ (totally understandable that you didn't have time to do it in time though :joy:) - I really like the art but the colors made the game kinda difficult : the lack of contrast kind of tired my eyes personnaly, and might make the game hard for people with color-blindness (not sure though). - Anyway, really nice game overall :D
Yeah, a Godot friend :). Very nice 2D art and music. The mood is perfect.
Lovely graphics! I included it in my Ludum Dare 46 compilation video series, if you want to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/H9ztqzSqyIM
@jupiter-hadley hey thank you for covering our game, there seems to be a problem in the video tho
Graphics and sound are wonderful, it is very good to be for a JAM, good job!
Very nice Entry. Love the graphics The game feels well polished. and fun to play. keep it up. :v:
I'm impressed by the graphics and the sound fx. I love the mysterious theme of your game. I suggest adding some content to it, like more story and facts about the spirits... because the gameplay is somehow simple to me. Overall, nice job you did there.
@gameovermexico thank you very much !
@lazzydev72 thanks for the feedback!! glad you had fun :-)
@sandra-martinez realy appreciate the feedback, thanks!
