Pretty cool concept!
Nice entry! Good work on the art side, I have a few notes about it: * The forground and player character are both relativly dark and the player doesn't stand out very much in the foreground. Maybe the contrast between them could be a bit higher * The player sprite itself is so dark that it is also a bit hard to see the contours you put inside it, so maybe also a bit more contrast here could help people seeing the details you put in there * The colors of the portals are sometimes a bit hard to match because I think there are some filters present that also change the colors. Maybe you could additionally add some symbol or give them different shapes to make them easier to match * I really liked the shapes you come up with for the fire and the characters
@oadt Thank you for the feedback! I really struggled with the visualisation of the characters and the portals especially. In the beginning they had different logic to work, and the visualisation was for the layer (pink, purple and dark). That was even worse ":D"
This was my first game where I made the assets myself, and getting to this point, I'm really happy with the results, and will create a backlog for myself to continue on!
Hi! really fun game, enjoyed many things, specially how the main character smoothly follow the waves in the ground. Excellent work.
It doesn't load for me on Firefox :(

At first I didn't understand what got me (A bad guy got me as it just came into frame) but then, I was like nope, nope, nope, go away , leave me alone ! It's fun to run after the beacons :D You should add a "danger halo" near the screen borders when someone is going tom come into frame. PS: Nice splines and night cycle :)
@rpgwanderer thank you for the feedback! The danger halo is a really good idea, and will add it to my backlog! Glad to hear you enjoyed the mountainous views, too!
Good little game, the visuals are quite nice, and the concept is quickly understandable. Good job ! ;) However, I can't figure out how the enemies move. Is it possible to predict their movements, or is it completely random?
Thank you @thejookerful for the feedback! For the question regarding enemies; yes and no, its a mix. If the enemy is close to you and is on the same level, it will follow you. Otherwise it will go left 33%, right 33% or stay put 33% (there was a bug! Your comment made me to check it, and v 1.2 (now on itch.io) has this fixed logic. Thank you for asking of this, made the game a lot better IMO!
(the bugged version roughly 25% went left, 75% right and the bug caused them to stay put in some cases)
Clever game idea. I hade a hard time avoiding the enemies. I think that it might've been a combination of how suddenly they can change direction and the colours used. I've there was some kind of pre-warning that your getting too close to the enemy that would help a lot and improve the stealth aspect a bit.
I really like the art. There is some frustration with enemy movement which makes things feel a bit too luck based, especially when one spawns in and you end up stuck between 2 enemies. It might be an idea to be able to screen wrap from one side to the other as well as there is otherwise no escape if there is an enemy between you and the nearest doorway. Life gain and being able to resummon on different spots helps though and gives some leeway.
Great game! Concept is very cool. There might be some minor balance/map change to be made to avoid impossible situations. Overall I liked the art, the fact that the concept was innovative and self-explanatory. Really great job here!
Fun game! Loved the moving around on the mountains, felt very unique!
@silkworm-sweatshop thanks for the constructive feedback! The screen wrap is really good idea and will definitely implement it ASAP! I feel that really does help with the impossible cases you mentioned, and brings some depth to the mechanics.
I like the mood of this game for only 2 days. I really liked the camera zoom out at the beginning, nice touch! Gameplay reminds me of Burger Time meets Donkey Kong. Screen wrap was nice as someone else mentioned. I get you only had 2 days but music and sound would've been so nice to add to the mood of the game. Good work otherwise.
Interesting. It's funny trying to find your way around. I didn't manage to light everything up, but it was a lot of fun. Good job!
@beeb-gamecodecompany thank you for the kind words :v: Im also happy with the camera zoom in the beginning, nice to hear you enjoyed it too! I definitely agree the lack of music and sound is a pity, and might add the later on while tinkering with other stuff
@emilalix thank you for playing and reviewing :handshake: I wanted to make the gameplay easy to understand with some leeway for mistakes, but still make the game challenging enough to encourage players to try again as the game is rather short
Really had a ton of fun you should be proud! Game play was really enjoyable, with a few polishes here and there it would be steam ready!
Neat idea and very cute graphics. Between the screen wrapping, the huts and the ziplines/wires it was a good puzzle to try to avoid the guards. I did have to do some waiting for the guards to be in good places but a lot of the time I was able to find a route to the next beacon that didn't involve just waiting.
That is actually a very nice and fresh idea! It lacks some music, but even without it the mood of this world is amazing. I liked how intense it was. Thank you and congrats!

Thank you @joshua-miller-pio for the praises! Definitelly agree the lack of music is a big bummer. Do you have any tips for creating simple music or SFX?
@perfectsquare thank you for the feedback! I've been thinking of adding some different kind of enemies; some might have quite strict areas to patrol, and others would have move free but simple routines. Every time I've conssidered this, I've stumbled upon the challenge of combat. I feel I'm forced to have some kind of interaction, if the enemies are less random. Might be that I just have to try that and see what happens!
Thank you @nadia-pixel ! Do you have some tips or tools to mention for making music or SFX?
It is interesting to slide on rope! :) 游戏截图.png
@jimuu thank you for playing my game!
